What, Winfall wimmin? OK then, here you go- Meanwhile, over at Winfall vineyards... I even went to Winfall today, took Jo's car over to the Winfall carwash, where they still do a hand job.

Happy birthday...if you haven't pressed the red button that is.

Sounds just like Advance Auto Parts. You can't buy a flat washer there without them asking what it's for, make, model, and cereal number of the intended application, so they can look it up on the computer. I went to the one in Appomattox to get a battery for an MTD lawnmower once. The parts guy wanted the make, model, cereal number, etc. I said "it looks like a motorcycle battery". He threw his arms up in the air and said "that doesn't tell me anything, there's a thousand different batteries!'' So I threw my arms up in the air and said "they don't even make a thousand different batteries!", left my other items laying on the counter, and drove across the street to Western Auto and got one off the shelf. And one of the truck salesmen from Truck Enterprises was looking at the mixer one time and said "you know, they made a three stick transmission too." "oh, really?" "oh yeah, it was called a triplex." "oh..."

These are stainless steel, I could make a nice smoker out of one of them.

I think I said I wasn't going to complain about the heat this summer, after all the snow and ice we had last winter...been nice and warm this week. I saw a tall skinny horse and a short pot belly horse in Milton,W.V. Saw a dove in Milton too. Saw an R model with a big load of logs in Newcomerstown, Oh. A girl in a car who was movie star beautiful- A girl in a car with the shoulder harness that lifts and separates her boobage- Charleston,W.V. Eagle Rock,Va. U model in Roanoke. He's got this load well secured! B model in McKees Rocks, Pa. I finally managed to get a decent picture of it. A dog in a car. Had to load at B&W in Lynchburg yesterday for the second time this week. The first time I had to go inside the secure area and had to be searched 3 times at 3 checkpoints. Had to leave my camera, cell phone, CB mike, laptop, CD's, DVD's,etc. at the last check point- steak knives are OK though. I didn't go in the secure area yesterday and only went through 1 check point so I took a secret spy photo- Picked up a load of scrap, mostly copper, going to Chicago. Amber waves of grain in Gladys. Thought I had my first ripe tomato... then I turned it over...

Nice pictures! When I don't have many pictures you always get good ones. And almost everybody likes "girls in cars" pictures. I don't run to the New England area any more- not that I mind, since I have to go around or through D.C, Baltimore,Philly,N.Y, and Boston to get there.

Great pictures, that grocery truck reminded me of one that used to come by about once a week when I was only about 5 or 6 years old. All I remember was it was a man named Dan. It was a Ford truck I believe, but it was set up similar, had the scales, he even had fish on ice on the truck. I always looked at the fish, it was fascinating to see all the stuff Dan had on the truck at the time. I hadn't thought of Dan for years, thanks for the pictures.

I rode down to Cumberland today to see Mom and Dad. Daddy mentioned that they were married in 1951...wow! Ma's still doing pretty good, Dad's slowed down a good bit in the last couple of years. Took a few pictures along the way of course- stopped and looked at this 400 Farmall in Appomattox. My brother's Farmalls, a C and an H. He used to have a 350, but he sold it. Saw all these units parked at the old Ford dealership in Appomattox- I don't know a thing about them, who owns them, or where they came from, but they look good for their age to be unrestored. They look like one of those "barn finds" you hear about sometimes. A little before my time, but the Ford appeared to have a manually operated cable shifted 2 speed rear?

Only got a few pictures this week, so here with even more gripping descriptions than usual... A mixer in Gladys,Va. Another mixer in New London,Va. I saw this Lynchburg Ready Mix Diamond T passing by on 460 when I stopped at the Express Lane the other day and grabbed a quick pic just as he was pulling away from the stop light. They've been digging and grading on this place for a long time in White Sulphur Springs,West Virginia. It's between the Greenbrier Hotel and I-64. I was wondering what it was, and if you don't know something, ask a Burns driver. He said the owner of the Greenbrier was building it and it was going to be a practice facility for an NFL team. I need to turn right right there to get unloaded and reloaded. All this TMC had to do was pull up about 15 feet and I could turn- but no, he sat right there until he was finished chaining that roll down. I saw a rabbit scratching his head. I saw a storm up ahead in Pa.. I saw rain up ahead in Va. You can usually see all the way to the top of Afton Mtn. from here, it was pouring rain at the bottom of this hill. Saw an old military truck. Later I saw another one- I think this one might be for sale. Saw lots of odd looking trailers. I saw a girl in a car.

Well, I was heading back to Milton with 2 more mill rolls today when I got a call from headquarters. They said the roll coming back wouldn't be ready until late tonight or in the morning. Last time they said that it was lunch time the next day before it was ready, so I got on 29 at Charlottesville and went to the shop and came home. Took a couple of pictures on the first round- saw a big load of pulpwood heading up 220 to Covington. Got it stacked up pretty high there. Nice job loading it though. Got behind this truck heading into Charleston. And, I saw a bag of dog food in a car in Charleston.

I prefer Bud Light, but being's i'm not 19 any more I stick with the light beer because there's only half the calories of regular beer, and i'm big enough now.

Here you go Mike, it's in the mail- already has an emergency kit in the trunk!

here's my recipe- you go to Wal Mart and get some PBR glasses, no matter what kind of beer you drink, they just look good,eh? Get a bottle of Clamato juice... Pour beer into PBR glass, top it off with Clamato- it'll look like this- When PBR glass is empty, repeat step two. When PBR glass is empty, repeat step two. When PBR glass is empty, repeat step two. Repeat step two, until you just cain't repeat no more...
