  1. My first laptop photo-chop! I saw this girl sitting against the guardrail in the median on the N.Y. Thruway Thursday. I didn't stop to see what her story was, it was about 15 degrees.Looked like her feets were cold though.
  2. I had a truck back into me one night when I was asleep on the on ramp at exit 7 on 79 in Pa. Bent the grill, cracked the hood on both sides, and broke or bent some of the braces behind the bumper. I don't remember the name of the company, got pictures on the other computer, but they were from all the way up in Pembroke, Ontario. The driver was as nice as he could be, and after everything was fixed we sent them a bill and they paid for all the damage right away, no questions or b.s. about it.
  3. I didn't have a camera with me then so I bought some of those disposable cameras along the way. I took a water tank from Richmond to a KOA campground out there. Must have been around 1998-'99, that was a '98 Freightliner.
  4. and my favorite line from Naked Gun- "nice beaver".
  5. I watched Smokey and the Bandit today, then both of the Fast and Loud Bandit car episodes.
  6. That's some place called Mt. Rushmore. I stopped at that pull off in the top right picture to take some pictures of the truck and scenery, then just happened to notice George Washington's head over the truck. I don't know why I didn't get closer to the truck in that top left picture, would have been a lot better.
  7. That's rt. 219 Vlad, somewhere between Salamanca and Orchard Park.
  8. Oh, I forgot- that one picture of all the trucks was taken at a truck show, I never actually drove any of those trucks. The black green pearl 9900I was the last truck I drove at H.H.Moore's. I drove a nice 2000 model W900L before Jeff traded it in on the Pete. It had a 525 N14 in it, 13 spd, and 3.70 rears. And yes, I was waiting to make a left there to get on 79 south. I've been going through Neville Island to get to and from McKees Rocks because of the construction on 51 south.
  9. I put some pics on the laptop, still haven't gotten the desktop unit fixed. These are some old pictures I found of some trucks i've driven. A dog in a pickup truck. The big yellow machine takes up the whole road. Stone bridge just off of I-81, south of Staunton, Va. The wine is bottled- Got a little icy around here last weekend. Got a little icy going to McKees Rocks Tuesday too. Looks like a B model sitting over there at Neville Island. It is a B model! The road to Buffalo was "not too good" Wednesday either. 'twas cold up there too. The WK Heavy Haul truck with the transformer at the substation we delivered to in West Seneca, N.Y. I pulled one of their trailers again- it was clean and shiny, looked brand new in fact. Looked a lot different by the time I got it back to Lynchburg!
  10. That was great, until I got distracted by the related video, "How to See Through Clothing"...what a bunch of BS! You can't see through clothing.
  11. I've got a great picture to put here...whenever I get my "real" computer back.
  12. That was pretty good...then I got distracted by the bike week related videos.
  13. I'll have to make up for lost time when I get the computer fixed, can't do much with pictures with this laptop computer...or maybe you can, I just don't know how, it's all different. The desktop has windows vista, this is windows 8 and I don't know much about anything on this one.
  14. That could be Graham there! Where can you get those?
  15. That's not very far from here. I used to run up rt. 15 all the time, not so much any more, I usually head west now before I head north. One of our trucks threw a load of coils off in Fork Union some years ago. I think they landed near the fountain in front of Fork Union Military Academy. He had 5 coils on and had a chain in the front one and the rear one, nothing in the middle ones.
  16. My son Morgan is very knowledgable about computers himself, and he said he would trust the guy that he used to work with to work on his, so I took it to Pamplin yesterday and left it at Morgan's. This guy said he would put the power supply in for about $20, plus what the part costs. I brought the lap top home with me Friday. I have a mill roll on going to Petersburg, ran 4 round trips to Milton, W.V. last week. I am supposed to drop the roll at the shop today and go to Bedford and get a load going to New Martinsville, W.V, "weather permitting". I'm looking at the weather channel now, I don't think the weather will permit me to make that trip today. It takes me right into the ice field. Snow is one thing, that ice is a horse of a different hue. And they're saying it will warm up in the morning and it'll be just rain.
  17. Somebody gave me a multi-meter for Christmas several years ago, and I didn't have a clue what it was for or how to use it.
  18. I talked to a computer expert,AKA Nocluejoe66, and he also said it was probably the power supply thing in the computer. He has changed them before, but he said it helps to know what you're doing, so i'll have to take it to somebody that does, because I certainly don't. My son knows a guy that he used to work with that works on computers, takes them apart for the fun of it, builds them, took college classes for computer repair, all that stuff- he knows computers, so i'm gonna try to get up with him this weekend.
  19. me neither, when jiggling things and trying a different outlet and power cord didn't work I was pretty much lost. But it's not getting any power, the green light on the start button won't even light up. Well, I better get going here- see everybody when I get it fixed.
  20. I went to put some pictures off my camera on the computer the other day, and as soon as I sat down in the 'puter chair the machine cut off. I thought maybe one of the speakers had gotten against the power button on the power box but it hadn't. I tried a different outlet...nothing. Different power cord...nothing. Then I scratched my head and jiggled some wires...nothing. Took the side cover off the tower and looked inside...put the cover back on. I guess I need to take it to a computer repair place. I'm on the laptop across from the McDonald's somewhere in West Virginia now.
  21. hmmmm...if you two toned it, maybe black with a gray or silver top. I always liked two tone paint jobs with lighter and darker shades of the same color.
  22. Too bad, I was hoping Florida State would take them down and hang half a hunnert on 'em. Guess Florida State will play Ohio State for the national championship now.
