  1. I agree, that one thing -the stupid looking visor- ruined the looks of a great classic truck. And I remember seeing the "Trick my Truck" episode where they did that Transtar. We were talking about it on the way home. I saw that truck for sale on e-bay or somewhere shortly after they finished it. The "bossman" on the show said he got tired of it when they started doing ice cream trucks, service trucks, etc, which is why I lost interest in it. But to do a truck like that for somebody and then they turn around and sell it right away must have caused them to rethink the whole thing too, I would think.
  2. Holy mackerel, i'm way behind! I'm on vacation this week too. Work Friday, truck show Saturday (http://www.flickr.com/photos/28526133@N04/), stew Sunday, clean stew pot and resize and crop pictures today, got an eye Dr. appointment Thursday, work to do on mixer one day, go see Ma and Dad one day. I'll probably get some rest when I go back to work. I think I took some pics. before the truck show, and I got a few yesterday when I had the stew. They'll be on later, they're still on the camera now. Did I post this before? This is a girl in a car, on her phone. Saw this R-model dump truck for sale near Milton, W.V.
  3. I have a photobucket acct. too, but I couldn't remember my user name or password. Use pretty much the same ones for everything, but I couldn't sign on so I went with flickr. I was going to see which one I liked better, but since I couldn't sign in to photobucket at all it became a non-issue. I didn't post every picture I took, about 250 total, but that's most of it. Some were redundant, but if anyone wants a picture disc of all of them, just shoot me an address and i'll be glad to send one. Soon as I burn them that is. And there was not a U model to be seen.
  4. Should be a lot more pictures here- http://www.flickr.com/photos/28526133@N04/
  5. It's in the Keystone Tractor Museum in Colonial Heights, Va. now. I posted pictures of it before, but it was packed in there too tight to get a good picture of it. I should have asked the driver to close the "fender hoods" for a picture but I didn't. He was real nice, I told him "I'd love to drive this back to Colonial Heights for you, and you can drive my pickup." He said "that doesn't sound like a bad idea", so I assumed it rides pretty rough. I'd have done it though, i'd love to drive that thing. Has a thirteen speed in it.
  6. A few more- here's MHFred's MH beside MH Farmer52. Great restoration here, before- and after... Nice! random photos... This Highbinder always had a crowd around it. I took the scenic route home and saw this one on rt. 151 between Wintergreen and Piney River, so I turned around and took some pictures.
  7. Computer machine seems to be working fine again. Here's a couple of my favorites from the show, i'm going back to editing pics, i'll post more or a link later.
  8. I think i'll go with A, probably an all day job for B to get those jeans on...or off.
  9. Here's a couple I saved so far- nice looking B model here, though there were several others too. Best ass of show- couldn't decide if it was this one- ...or this one. Another "motley crew" photo...stupid mustard stain. Old Bill (The Diesel Gypsy) sent me that genuine Australian hat last year. I've never even worn it before, keep it in the corner cabinet, but when he sent it he said he wanted a picture of me wearing it at a truck show, so I wore it to Winchester. I think I got the biggest belly trophy too, they just haven't mailed it to me yet. L. to R, some fat dude, MHFred, fxfymn, farmer52, paccarnut.
  10. I've been trying to get this stupid computer (freightrain) to work ever since I got home! I took two hunnert and fitty some pictures, and haven't been able to process them yet! It was working fine Friday, really fast, no problems at all, shut it down when I left and haven't been able to get it to work right since I got home, everything I try to do it says "...not responding". I'm surprised I even got on here now, i've restarted it umpteen times with the same results. Maybe it'll go back to working like by magic or something now, I don't know. I'll have some pictures on ASAP.
  11. dammit!..you can see that mustard stain from that hot dog I ate on my Watt's Mack T shirt!
  12. Winchester,Va. is this weekend !
  13. I'm at home. Had to run another mill roll yesterday and unload in Petersburg this morning. I'll be leaving here as soon as my camera battery charges and I take a shower, see y'all tomorrow.
  14. I didn't see the Vinnymobile when I stopped but these trucks were still there.
  15. my plan so far is to leave Friday, don't know what time yet. If I get there early enough i'll go look around Friday evening, then go back Saturday. If I get up there late on Friday i'll just be there early Friday morning. I've been a couple of times but it's been several years so I don't remember enough details for a meeting place. My no. is 434-664-7847
  16. I guess that's why you used to smell the paper mill in Covington driving along on 64, and the mill was at the far end of town, but you can't smell it any more.
  17. My brother went to this event Saturday with his wife and youngest daughter, and didn't even take a camera! There were no pictures of your truck of interest on that facebook page either, not that i saw anyway.
  18. no e mail, but there's a mailing address and a phone no. 1741 Ashland Road Rockville, Va. 23146 804-741-8468
  19. Vinny, I go right by there going to Milton and back. I stopped there at the store by the show grounds today to see what I could see, but I didn't see that truck anywhere. Gates were closed, no trespassing signs on the gate, nobody around. I did see a nice looking B model mixer,an Autocar, and another unidentified truck in the field.Took pictures of them, but can't post them until I get home.

  21. I think that show was just this past weekend. I didn't go myself, but i've always heard that it's a good show. They have demonstrations of old machinery, farm equipment, tractor pulls, and lots of other stuff going on.
  22. I'm...i'm touched...I don't know what to say- thank you hatcity, thank you very much indeed.
