The Top 5 Reasons Why You Should NOT Get A Facebook
other dog replied to JumperAndSon's topic in Odds and Ends
It's not just the wimmins, there's a lot of truck and trucking related pages on facebook, I post a lot of truck pictures there too, on "Truck Nuts", "In the Weeds", and several more. -
I'm still working on this computer, deleted almost 100 pictures already, and have more to go. I got to this one and couldn't tell what it was by the thumbnail view, so I clicked on it and thought it was worth repeating- Rowdy Rebel gets stopped by the DOT.

B-Model wrecker on CL
other dog replied to vision386's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Strange looking B 67, eh? Needs a 4x4 block under the back of the cab too, before it wears a hole in the fuel tanks. -

Pulling a trailer with 237 HP
other dog replied to Mr Black's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
That sounds correct, we considered a 285 hp. 300 Mack the equivalent of a 350 Cummins as far as running and pulling. -
I think it's called a "lateral movement."

I loaded the second load different, put 4 on the back, 3 in front. As low to the floor as you can keep it, the better I like it.

you just might be onto something there! -
I've been working on this stupid computer (freightrain,2008) all yesterday afternoon and all morning today! Couldn't even get it to start, i've run every scan, cleaner, repair disc, system restore, and everything else I could think of. Now I shall attempt to post pictures of the week, with gripping and colorful descriptions. ...like this yellow U model at Metals USA in Ambridge, Pa. and a yellow scraper machine- a brown ground hog in a green field- load of aluminum logs- a big red Mack dump truck in Greenville, Pa. Brockway dump truck with coal body. A random road shot, rt. 422 in Pa. between Butler and Kittanning. A really nice looking Ford, couldn't get a real good picture, but it was sharp looking! I like this old Ford too! A yellow Mack and a white Mack. that's an old one- haven't seen a North and South trailer for a while. random road shot- rt. 19 in W.V. A bridge... the other side of the bridge- Long hooded white R model, with twice pipes. Wonder if it might be one of those old 318 Detroit powered Roadway units? Great looking Marmon at Hubbard! A colorful mixer, and a heavy duty looking Ford! Some yellow equipment and green trucks. A girl in a white car. A red R model wrecker truck. Here's the white R model wrecker truck again, little better picture than last time. A Yellow truck and a yellow truck. random road shot, I-64 just west of Lexington, Va. Mill roll I picked up in Milton, W.V. after dropping off a old one and a ring for refurbishing. Saw these horses in Milton too, but nobody was perched on them. ...and of course, while on the way home, I saw this poorly photochopped woman crossing 501 in Winfall.

Thanks for the info, the picture...not so much- how am I supposed to get to Lane Steel now?!! -
I saw it again the other day, heading south on 79 just north of 80 a little ways. Didn't get a picture. I also saw another dead porcupine on the shoulder, so the next time I see a dead porcupine i'm gonna grab the camera...

Pulling a trailer with 237 HP

I'm with Mike, Ron, and 2 stack. It might be a little slow to get going, but once you do, then it's on! And like they said, the terrain is a big factor. If you're mainly on flat ground you'll probably love it. I once took a 50,000+ lb. load from Va. to Washington, Pa. with a reload of steel coils in Butler, Pa. going back to Va.in a 237 powered F model. Yeah, it was slow- 2nd. gear on a lot of the hills, but it got the job done. -
Glad you can be here!

I always take 301 over 95 when I have to go to that part of the world. Glad you made out OK.

gator bites are what the guy at Lowes gave me when I was working on a leak in the pipe going to the hot water tank. I thought no way this thing's going to work, but it never leaked a drop.

Blankety blank blank Dayton wheels
other dog replied to Badih1206's topic in Driveline and Suspension
I don't know why they'd slip if they're that tight and the wedge clamps aren't bottomed out, but i'd try new clamps and wheel spacers first. Usually the spacer is worn out when the clamps bottom out, but since they're not bottomed out, it's a mystery! I've seen lots of wheels that had a little piece of flat bar welded on each side of the valve stem hole for bigger-better safety stops too. -
