  1. So, uhhhh...who's that feeding the chickens? Is that your mom? Nice looking chickens she has.
  2. Saw this on a Mack facebook page, one of the nicest looking B models i've seen.
  3. The T660's at work have an insert in the fuel filler opening so you can't get a hose or anything in the tank. Only bad thing is you can't get the nozzle in there far enough to hook it under the edge when you fuel, so it might jump out if you don't stand there and hold it. I keep a bungee on the tank step to put over it when I fuel up.
  4. Ain't that just a neat looking truck? Trucks used to have class...like a '67 GTO or a '55 Chevy, or an F model Mack or a K100- you knew what it was when you saw it. Not so much anymore.
  5. This is true, but as Mike said in another thread the gummint is trying to regulate us out of business- no common sense seems to apply any more. Used to drive the old trucks and service them regularly and they were pretty much trouble free, never broke down. Now new trucks stay in the shop as much as they stay on the highway, engine light's always on, just one thing after another. 10,000 sensors on them for stupid shit, all because of EPA regulations. We did it to ourselves...well, no not really ourselves- the gummint stuck one in us and broke it off...stupid tree hugging hippies.
  6. Wow, you done good for yourself! Truck looks nice too.
  7. I could artificially enhance Pilot Mtn. to be as big and impressive as this, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
  8. Not as impressive as Pilot Mountain though,eh?
  9. Me neither, but then I seldom stay at truckstops. I usually have enough fuel to get from Concord to where i'm going and back, but not always. So that motorkote really works,eh?By the way, even though I drive a company truck, i'd like to catch somebody trying to steal fuel one time. When I called the cops i'd tell them to bring the coroner, because the thief had a binder pipe imbedded in his brain. I've actually heard company drivers on the radio trying to sell fuel on the radio at a truckstop. They had just filled up and wanted to sell fuel for a dollar a gallon. If I could have found out who it was I was going to call the company, but I never did. This was at Maybrook, N.Y. some years ago. I told him just what a lowlife scumbag he was though.
  10. Yep, fuel is the big one, amongst the many little things. When the truck I drive is full of fuel, it has well over $1,000 worth of fuel in it. A thousand dollars- in fuel! You can buy a half decent used car for that kind of money. And you gotta fill that sucker up 2 or 3 times a week!
  11. I couldn't eat that- well, unless I was really, really, hungry.
  12. Nice! I missed the picture of the week this week when I saw a Dodge Bighorn going north on I-77 in Ohio with a load of logs. Seen some at truck shows, first one i'd seen still working that I know of since the '80's.
  13. Gee, I hope he didn't leave because he didn't want everybody to know he's a celebrity, with the facebook truck pages and all that, and I spilled the beans.
  14. I'm gonna look on the interweb machine for cicada recipes now...that, or i'm gonna cook these pork chops that I just got at Food Lion. ...Think i'm going with the pork chops.
  15. That's right, I agree, me too, and so would I.
  16. hmmmmm...about 6 hrs. now- I took it this morning. These are the 17 year locusts. But they're only in certain areas at different times, they were in Moneta either last year or the year before last, but not around here. They haven't started screeching yet, but i'm sure it won't be long. My yard is full of the little holes they come out of.
  17. It's times like this we really miss Olivetroad- you know he would have a field day with this!
  18. I've been to Chester, W.V. to Sugar Creek, Oh. to Bristol, Va. to Mosheim, Tn. to Moneta, Va. to Oakland, Md. to McKees Rocks to Lynchburg to Duluth, Ga. to Macon, Ga. and back to Concord this week. I saw a big yellow machine in Fairplain, W.V. A bird in Chester. A big red and white machine in Sugar Creek. A road sign. Clouds hanging over the Peaks of Otter. A big Mack truck at Art Reed's, and a clear picture of the apple truck...still for sale. Road shot- steep hill, western Maryland. I-79 in Pa. Lot of trucks or trailers seem to end up off the road on 79 for some reason. Another big yellow machine in McKees Rocks. Pittsburgh Some units in the field. One's an Autocar. Beautiful Nettie, West Virginia. I stopped at the Go-Mart in Nettie and got a Vision cake. Good time for a random hot babe, eh? I tried to find a mountain that was as impressive looking as Mt. Robson, but I could not. This is at Eagle Rock, Va. Saw this gal at the brick getting place in Macon... The forklift driver is staring at her ass! I wasn't paying her any attention myself, she's just another truck driver doing her job, and doing it well, and looking good doing it...but I hardly noticed. Even got her name on the back of the trailer. I even saw another crane on a barge in the river by the bridge. It's just like the first crane on the barge, the one that you can see part of the boom of in this picture. Saw another hitchhiker in Winfall on the way home, but I didn't have time to stop. The cicadas have emerged, they're everywhere! I know squirrels are like little pigs and will eat most anything, but I didn't know they would eat cicadas! We watched 2 of them catch and eat several of them!
  19. You're welcome, thank you for thanking me. I like Big Ben, hope you didn't get stuck in any traffic circles. No wonder he didn't think it was funny, you needed at least 2 more bungees on the other side too.
  20. Not so much the '65, but the 66 and 67 GTO's were some of my all time favorite cars, a fine looking automobile indeed.
  21. Nice scenery, I can see the pics. much better on this big screen that I could on the laptop. That chicken mac and cheese looks good too...is that bacon? Everybody loves bacon!
