that's about what time it was, I parked at the Fairgrounds Market about 9:45. I took the "P" off the Pape and changed the lettering under it, everybody used to call them "part ape". First time i've seen one of them for a long time. After I reviewed the picture and drank some hot sauce, I was going to go to Winfall this morning and check on her, but Supergirl beat me to it.

Went from this to this in no time,eh? at least seat cover season has started! "I'm a gonna pull yo' dress down some baby, some a-hole truck driver's a-lookin' at dem legs- I think he's takin' pitures of 'em for pitures of tha' week" "oh....really?" "you put them boobies away right now Betty Sue- it's pitures of tha' week, not boobs of the week!'' "well maybe we can start a new category..." (hat's off to mackmhe9 by the way- outstanding!) anyway.....moving on- Saw Greendash again- here he's getting off of 79 north onto the Pa. Turnpike. ...and here he is in Butler, Pa. the next morning. I went up 79 to 422 east to get to Butler, don't know why he was taking the turnpike...it's none of my binness. I saw a tunnel. Then I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. Then I saw another tunnel. F model Mack in Wytheville. I passed a Werner truck too. Now that's a good sign! Saw an Art Pape truck at Hubbard. Part of the roof got blown off at Sharon Coatings, at A door and D door. D door video from a few years ago- Part of the roof still on the power lines. This girl with blue shoes was sitting on the corner. Saw this girl crawling along 501 in Winfall last night, right after I'd seen a car in the ditch that the right front wheel had run off of. Didn't stop to see what she was doing, had to get home.

DOT Physical requirements.....................anyone done it yet?
other dog replied to Freightrain's topic in Odds and Ends
The doctor's office does have to be registered, certified, approved, or something now, where you used to be able to go about anywhere and get a DOT physical. Probably because there were some places around where if you walked in under your own power and had the money, you passed. If they're advertising DOT physicals they're more than likely approved. Only thing different here in Va. when I got mine renewed in December was that you have to mail or fax a copy of the physical to the Va. DMV now within so many days or your CDL will be suspended. Was that the truckstop down at exit 100, or 101? I noticed when I was there they had a sign saying you could get DOT physicals there. -
thanks Mike!

Really, that must be some non-driving buffoon to get smoked by a Werner truck like that! That picture does look vaguely familiar to me though...I must have been on that road before.

Happy birthday Mike.

That's the way I went, ran 422 all the way from New Castle to 22, 99 south to 220 south to Moorefield, then 55 to 259 at Baker, jump on 81 at Broadway.

Last week I went to Louisville with a van, then made two trips to Erie. This week I delivered 4 roll-off bodys in Ringold Monday, then took treated lumber to Strattonville, Pa, coils from Sharon to Lynchburg, lumber to Fairview and Punxsutawney, Pa. and skidded coils from McKees Rocks to Lynchburg. Now I got that van load to Louisville again for tomorrow. I did see Greendash this week, goofing off in Barkeyville, Pa. Notice how no one will park anywhere near him. Saw a red truck. Looks like someone was trying to climb this mountain and gave out before they reached the summit, so they planted the flag over the railroad tracks. This is on the famous horse shoe curve, rt. 22 west of Altoona. I was behind this car when I left Punxsutawney...don't know if i'd buy a used car from them or not. which reminds me- I saw this girl hitchhiking in Winfall. I was heading towards home in Gladys, so I didn't have time to stop. Supersize load on rt. 119,south of Punxsutawney. Had to blindside to this dock in Lynchburg. Mark could have done it blindfolded, took me all afternoon. I started over there... Not much room ahead. If they would put a few hundred tons of rock there, all the way to the woods, I wouldn't have much of a problem. Then I saw this girl in Gladys on the way home yesterday.

my all time favorite youtube video...

Yeah, it's a shame GMC trucks got faded away like they did after being one of the very first truck makers and being a "heavy hitter" in the industry for so many years. I altered a picture I saw on facebook a little, it was a bullnose KW instead of a GMC at first.

I fuel at Truck World when I load in Sharon. Get 2 free hot dogs with 75 gallons- I like free stuff.

I passed by Watt's Thursday coming from Punxsutawney heading to McKees Rocks but I didn't have time to stop and chew the fat with Barry. I was hoping to get across 376 before the traffic got too bad, but I didn't. Might as well have stopped.

where's all them reefers going to anyway?

Holy mackerel! I'd like to ride across I-40 from West Memphis to Little Rock with her.

I drove a solid white '78 Astro in 1979, had a 290 Cummins and 9 speed. Nice trucks, I liked it. Wish I had a picture of it.

yep, it was an "all- new Budd built proffessional cab...although the two cabs were different, they had numerous similarities, particularly in windshield style, cowl surfaces at the A-pillars and general shape of their piano-hinged steel doors." I'm not a GMC expert, I read this in "GMC Heavy Duty Trucks 1927-1987". I always thought it was the same cab.

The 345 and 392's were both good engines, a real truck engine that was built to last 200,000 miles or more. That's a good looking unit, not even a tear in the seat.

Cleaning out Trailer Spring Rummage Sale starts today
other dog replied to Superdog's topic in Odds and Ends
I remember way back when...a long, long, time ago when Vinny didn't want anything to do with girls at all- a year or so ago maybe? We all knew the day would come when all that changed! -
yeah, it was the cheap stuff, I didn't have any Gorilla tape at the time. I generally used it to put over any sharp pieces of steel that might cut my tarp. It wouldn't stand the pressure of that C-15 Cat. Gorilla tape is so strong i've used it to patch holes in my tarps. Got a roll of 4'' wide duct tape too that I bought in Hubbard.
