  1. maybe I should take this sign off of the window or something...
  2. Yep, for the second time I was parked, minding my own binness, when somebody ran into me. I had just unloaded at Lowes in Oakland, Md. and pulled from behind the store out into the main entrance road to put my wood away. I pulled over to the side and was sitting in the truck waiting to call headquarters, and for them to get the roads in a little better shape before I took off to Pittsburgh. It had snowed about 4 or 5 inches during the night, and it was 16 degrees. Some kid in a Honda car took off from behind me and gassed on it, just playing I guess, and the car got away from him and slammed right into the step under the driver side door, slid up and took out my chrome hubcap and nut covers on the left front steer tire, and also broke the hubcap so the grease was leaking. He blew his right front out when he hit me. I was putting my coat on when he came back and climbed on the side of the truck. I was highly pissed off already, and hadn't even seen the damage yet. But the first thing he did was apoligize, and when I got out I looked at him and saw a tear rolling down each cheek. He was only 20 years old, worked third shift- he still had his work uniform on- and said when he got off work he had to take his wife to work at Lowes before he could go home and go to sleep. It was so stupid, and unnecessary...but after hearing his story, and the apology, and seeing him crying, I couldn't be too pissed off at him. We were all 20 once, and probably did stupid things. I put some duct tape on the broken hub cap, got his name, rank, cereal number, and insurance information, and that was that. Stopped at Truck Enterprises in Harrisonburg last night and had the broken cap replaced, and picked up 2 new stainless steel hub caps and 20 new nut covers. You can see his tracks here... My duct taped hub cap- held pretty good for a while!
  3. i'd turn that picture right side up for you if I was home Vinny, but i'm behind the Lowes store in Oakland,Md. At least they have free wi-fi!
  4. I think that's what you call a perfect specimen.
  5. good googly-moogly! If I was 30 years younger, i'd be in love!..now, what's the point?........
  6. thought I was done with Winfall for the day, but this image seemed to really catch my attention. For some reason I seem incapable of doing a simple "cut, copy, paste" now , so here's a very poorly photochopped girl waiting for the train in Winfall.
  7. soon as i'm hired as a dispatcher, which should only be a couple of days, you're in!
  8. not a problem- it's in the mail!
  9. Thanks for the tips, I just reappliplicated!
  10. it's OK Joe...you're the only friend i've got in the whole wide world...sniff....sniff...
  11. Hey Joe! that's the feeling I get too, it really should turn out well whenever I get hired. They might have lost my applelication, I sent it in last summer. With my knollege and skill I was expecting them to come knocking on my door any time...still waiting.
  12. what? that's it? I've been waiting for a week to see your response to the camoflage, face paint, gasoline, and shovel post- and that's all?!!
  13. yes indeed, and the way I route myself is because i'm practicing to be an LTL dispatcher when I hang up the old driving gloves, the ones with the fingers cut off. I've already got an applipication in with Pitt-Ohio, but they haven't gotten back to me yet.
  14. you had to go and remind me of a joke!..i'm not even gonna tell it...too many people hate my stupid pictures, posts, and jokes already- you probably already heard it anyway. You know, the one about the guy that's never been with a woman before?..no experience?..none at all?..but he ends up getting married, and on his wedding night he tells his new bride his fears- "I'm sorry honey, but...but I...I've never been with a woman before, I don't even know what i'm supposed to do!" She said "don't worry silly- it'll all come natural- just take the hardest thing you've got and put it where I pee!" So he jumps out of bed, gets his bowling ball out of the closet, and throws it in the commode... That one- but i'm not gonna tell it.
  15. well, I would have, but I didn't have time to fool with them. And that's a very good observation about the same spot Ed, however that's just a weird thing about West Virginia. You go a few miles, and everything looks the same as it did a while ago. I can't explain it, but the first stuck girl was in Littleton, the next one was in Romney, the next in Yawkey, and the last one was in Minnehaha Springs...very strange,eh?
  16. That's one reason i'd be terrified to have to go to N.Y. now. And we have some drivers that love it. I remember seeing stripped out cars along the cross bronx in the 80's, and i'd always think to myself "just what do you do if you happen to break down?..you've got to go somewhere for help (pre-cell phone days!). And as soon as you leave your vehicle it's a goner- just what the hell do you do?".
  17. actually, that picture came from a page called "drunk sluts"...that I stumbled upon accidently of course.
  18. well, I found out why I can't sign in to webshots. That's where I had most of my pictures, including several different ATHS shows I went to. They're gone...all gone. Webshots is now Webshot Smile, run by a different outfit. Their frequently asked questions column said "we sent e-mails to webshot members last October informing them of this coming change...blah-blah-blah...you can no longer access old pictures unless you moved them...blah-blah-blah". They always sent e-mails saying how many people viewed your pictures, and i'd just delete them, so when they sent the other e-mails I probably saw "webshots" on them and just hit the delete button. Anyway, they're gone now...all gone.
  19. A man was driving his Terex Titan across the cross bronx expressway the other day and pulled over on the shoulder to walk to a nearby diner to get a cup of coffee. When he returned to his truck about 5 minutes later he found it sitting on blocks with the tires, wheels, and stereo system stolen.
  20. I remember hearing of a Euclid that fell into the slate quarry when I was a kid. Still in there far as I know, they said it would cost more than it was worth to get it out back then.
  21. I saw Hank Jr. in Beckley in the 80's. I was on the side of rt. 19 just past the toll booth with a tire service guy who was fixing a trailer tire for me. Hank Jr's bus came through the toll booth and pulled over on the shoulder for a minute, then took off. Hank Jr. was standing just inside the door and he waved at us as the bus was pulling away.
  22. I pull a flatbed, drive a red T660 for F.L.Moore and Sons out of Concord,Va. Usually i'll have lumber or beams going up, and bring coils back to Lynchburg out of Sharon or Pittsburgh.
  23. Vinny wants to know if he has any U models...
  24. I know the area, I run 64 to the turnpike a lot, 60 a lot, and 64 to 60 to 20 to 39 to 19 to 79 quite a bit.
