  1. Just took it as I was driving by Vlad, have a little Nikon "point and shoot" and had it set on "auto".
  2. Oh boy.......Merry Christmas everyone. I have to work tomorrow, just got to drop a trailer in Lynchburg, then go back Thursday and pick it up. What time can you pick me up Randy? Going to get my computer today, the guy fixed it for $50, and the part was $25. My son said he thought I might have sticker shock, I told him no,I thought just the part would cost $50 or more. I'm going to give him $60 since it's almost Christmas, and it's good to know a computer guy!
  3. I only stopped at Sapp Bros. in Clearfield to eat one time, but they had one of the biggest and best buffets i'd ever seen.
  4. What they ^^^^ said. Reminds me of the old saying Paul- "there are no atheists in foxholes."
  5. Me too Mark, I did grab another shot after i'd passed it, but you still can't see much detail. That jobsite was at a gas well and most of those gas and fracking companies are from out west, have workers from all over the country.
  6. I can tell the difference, prairie dogs stand on their hind legs and look around and squirrels just sit, or jump around from one thing to another.
  7. We like to watch them -they are my friends.
  8. oh...thanks Randy!
  9. Hi Jay...yellow who?..I didn't know what that thing was, that job was in Ohio, near Hanoverton.
  10. This week I saw another prairie dog in the back yard. And I saw a big red Mack in South Boston, Va. Saw a big yellow machine. Seen what looked like a fire up ahead. Yep, it's a fire...no doubt about it. Then I saw another big yellow machine at this jobsite in Ohio. I had to follow this escort van to the unloading site. Along the way I saw this big yellow truck and another fire. Oversize load waiting to get in. This appeared to be a long nose 9500 GMC with an integral sleeper, never seen the likes of this before. The power plant at Mt. Storm, W.V. from just south of Oakland, Md. Power plant from the junction of rt. 42 and 93 in Mt. Storm. Road shots, rt. 50 in W.V. Superliner dump truck. Unidentified creature spotted on the back porch this morning.
  11. I want one of them there meglinating multi function power tools.
  12. I've lurked around at his shows a few times myself.
  13. That's the one.
  14. reminds me of an old joke- what's long and hard on a North American driver? ...the third grade.......................(crickets chirping)
  15. I've used Zephyr before to do it by hand, seemed to work pretty good. Best I used was a home made concoction, the guy-an owner operator by the way- said he melted down the polishing bricks, mixed in some-hmmmmm, I forgot. Mineral spirits maybe? And some other ingredients, anyway, he sold it for $5 a bottle, usually a 20 oz. Mtn. Dew bottle, but it worked great.
  16. Perhaps I should give them a try, i've been looking at them. I smoke too much too, if I miss a turn or something I light up, and driving through several whiteouts going to Buffalo last week i'd be smoking 3 or 4 at a time.
  17. My first laptop photo-chop! I saw this girl sitting against the guardrail in the median on the N.Y. Thruway Thursday. I didn't stop to see what her story was, it was about 15 degrees.Looked like her feets were cold though.
  18. I had a truck back into me one night when I was asleep on the on ramp at exit 7 on 79 in Pa. Bent the grill, cracked the hood on both sides, and broke or bent some of the braces behind the bumper. I don't remember the name of the company, got pictures on the other computer, but they were from all the way up in Pembroke, Ontario. The driver was as nice as he could be, and after everything was fixed we sent them a bill and they paid for all the damage right away, no questions or b.s. about it.
  19. back!
  20. I didn't have a camera with me then so I bought some of those disposable cameras along the way. I took a water tank from Richmond to a KOA campground out there. Must have been around 1998-'99, that was a '98 Freightliner.
  21. and my favorite line from Naked Gun- "nice beaver".
  22. I watched Smokey and the Bandit today, then both of the Fast and Loud Bandit car episodes.
  23. That's some place called Mt. Rushmore. I stopped at that pull off in the top right picture to take some pictures of the truck and scenery, then just happened to notice George Washington's head over the truck. I don't know why I didn't get closer to the truck in that top left picture, would have been a lot better.
  24. That's rt. 219 Vlad, somewhere between Salamanca and Orchard Park.
