Danged stupid computer worked fine this morning, now it won't do $#!+ (that's comic book cussing...not bad,eh?). Can't get online, my fix-it disc, and everything else says "not responding", and the little wheel keeps spinning. Been trying to fix it, restarted it several times, wasted several hours, nothing...summanabish worked fine this morning. What's wrong with it? Is it fixable?..or should I throw it out in the driveway? I've got over 4,000 pictures saved on my computer! I have a laptop too, I finally just plugged it in to see what was going on here. "bummer"- Bob, 2013.

yes, right you are,and that's it! And Mark, you are so right in what you said. Before deregulation i've hauled fertilizer into West Virginia, tarped it, and had a fake bill of lading saying it was kyanite because we had authority to haul "any ground ore" in W.V, but not fertilizer. Now anybody can haul anything anywhere on any route, so operating authority that companies once paid thousands of dollars for through buy outs, mergers, or cash became worthless overnight. And whatever haul we get now with a decent freight rate, whether the treated lumber, crane mats, or steel, it's only a matter of time before some larger carrier- TMC, Nick Srimbu, P,I&I, etc,-they're all the same-cuts the rates. Never fails.

But how far is it to Winfall? Saw that cabover KW again, going through New London Monday. Seen the big orange Mack again. Had to wait for this fellow to load his truck with his mat loader machine before I could pull up to the mat unloading machine to get unloaded in Clinton, Pa. Tuesday morning. I saw smoke in the distance... probably from the power plant in Midland, Pa. Waiting for the truck ahead to get loaded with the dumpster loading machines. The dumpster loading machines pick the dumpsters and roll-off bodies up and the trailer backs under them. I loaded the same way. They load dumpsters with one forklift, but the roll-offs are too heavy for one machine to lift. I loaded 4 roll-offs, one is turned upside down in the other. I had chains on each end of each set too, but i'd already took them off here in Rocky Mount, N.C. Some big Mack trucks at the roll-off body unloading place. Saw this machine there too. It was snowing when I left Rocky Mount. I was heading to Concord when they told me to go to Petersburg and pick up some angle iron and bring it to Lynchburg, only about 12,000 lbs. I didn't know it was 60' long until I got to Petersburg. It was snowing pretty hard around Blackstone when I was coming back up 460. Now this is something you don't see much anymore- a Volkswagon bus! Headed back out to Scio, Ohio with another load of crane mats Thursday. Here's snow on the mountain, the Peaks of Otter. Here's snow on the trees in West Virginia. Seen a red squirrel on the fence in Leetsdale, Pa. Coal bucket in W.V. KW looks odd beside a Freightliner- or the Freightliner looks odd beside the KW. Saw a girl on a couch in Winfall last night. Then I saw a girl in distress in Gladys. I didn't stop because I think the other girl was giving her mouth to mouth rescesistuatiation.

No, it was west of Breezewood, on the right if going east,in a curve on the mountain. I was thinking Noah's Ark, the ship must be it. Gotta watch the video now. That's the place. I thought it was 7 states, but it's 3 states and 7 counties. Thanks, that's a great video there- it was later Noah's Ark. I'm watching it now. -

I had a picture of that place up on the mountain on rt. 30, where the sign said "see seven states". I think I gave them to Big Jim. The place has been torn down now. -
Happy birthday Morgan, have a great one.

Used to go through Breezewood all the time in the 80's. Used to come up 522 out of Winchester, then take 70 to Breezewood and get on the turnpike. Breezewood looked like New York City at night, to me anyway, with all the motels, restaurants, truckstops, and everything was lit up. It was several years before I ever saw it in the daytime, and it didn't look nearly as impressive. I drove a 74 Transtar with a VT903. I liked it, it would out pull most of the 290's we had...plus it sounded great. -
I went out to get the paper this morning, and passed through Winfall on the way to the paper box. Had to stop and wait while this girl pushed a big wooden block out of the road. I think maybe she wanted me to give her a hand with it, I didn't know for sure though, so I didn't.

Now that '59 Tucker is a neat looking machine! I've only been in New Hampshire a couple of times. We went north on 91 in Vermont, crossed into New Hampshire, went a little farther north to a job site. Hauled structural steel up there, not very far into N.H, it was just a little ways across the river from Vermont, but I can't remember the name of the place. That was in the '80's, I was driving a cabover KW.

here's a picture if that helps any, I think Swishy first posted this. If you can't find a plate a truck letterer or sign place could probably print this onto a decal for you.

that's seriously what the KB 12 has in it, it's around the 2:40 mark in the video.

I have loaded there before Brocky, but not recently. Probably been 10 or 12 years or more.
