  1. Happy birthday clujo, Jobyna said to kiss her a happy birthday too.
  2. Yeah, sure you did Jim. We know you only run from Pittsburgh to Sharon to Morgantown to Moorefield to Romney to Altoona to Fairmont to Uniontown to Washington and back to Pittsburgh every night. Hard to pull the wool over our eyes, we're pretty sharp!
  3. Do y'all remember Pharoah's Truckstop? I used to love stopping there. A 16 ounce T-bone steak dinner was $7. That was the one place I always made it a point to stop at when I went up 81. Because of the food of course, not the mini skirts . Then somebody else took it over and it wasn't nearly as good, now it's closed.
  4. Thanks veeight, I really had no clue what it was, it's certainly a neat looking truck though. The magazine was right about the "head turner" part- I would drive that!
  5. Reminds me of the guy in Arizoner with the KB12 International. He said "it's got a 13 speed with a 3 speed Browny and a 2 speed rear axle, which gives me 78 forward speeds".
  6. are you looking for a Quadruplex transmission, or just the sift pattern?
  7. Thanks, I just quoted the caption, I had no idea what it was. I've seen another one of them on Hank's Truck Pictures, but I wasn't about to repost that one! Cool looking truck though. And thanks for the other info!
  8. I had no idea. It was very small by today's standards though, wish i'd known what a camera was back then. I just did a google image search for Euclid trucks, and this looked most like what I remember. The one I drove had the stack coming through the hood- no muffler, just a straight pipe, about 2 feets tall.
  9. isn't a liter just over a quart? that would come out to around the same price then...pretty close I guess. I was thinking of driving to Moscow to fuel up next time, but since it's so close going that far out of route probably wouldn't be worthwhile.
  10. Certainly "politically incorrect", one of the liberal's favorite phrases, but in the real world you know that's exactly what this stupid bitch is thinking. No, wait..."stupid bitch" is politically incorrect too, even though the shoe fits. It's just like saying Rosie O'donnell is a fat stupid bitch is politically incorrect, even though it's a fact. Hmmmmm... never mind, I cain't say nuthin' 'bout nobody- jest fergit you ever saw this.
  11. I was just about to post some Cruiseliner pictures I saw on facebook when I saw this thread. I never drove a Cruiseliner myself, but I never really liked their looks as much as I did the F models, MH's, and even H models. But I have to admit, these are sharp!
  12. geez, I stay out of likes...i'm gonna quit liking so much stuff. OK, now I don't like nobody or nothing! hmmmmm...still out of likes- well, I tried.
  13. I drove an old Euclid at a quarry for a short while, first job I had when I graduated from high school in 1974, and it had a 4-71 in it. I just hauled rock from the quarry up to the crusher. It had a 10 speed transmission in it, like a duplex, but you never needed but 2 gears, take off in 1st. low and shift to second low and hold it wide open up out of the quarry. Go dump and do it again...and again...and again. Every once in a while i'd get up to 3rd. gear going back down the hill. It was slow, but it got the job done.
  14. yeah, i'm scared of aliens and them homeland security guys. In fact, I think i'd rather take my chances with the aliens. At least there's a chance of them being friendly.
  15. Hi Vlad. I didn't see any activity while I was there. There was actually 3 reactors there, another one that looked identical to the one pictured, and there was a shorter but much bigger around one in between them. I was sitting in the truck when I took that picture, the other 2 were to the left of it, behind the van trailer. I had to get out to see them, but I didn't want to be taking lots of pictures. I took some of the Autocar, but they might have wanted to know what I was up to if they saw me taking pictures of the reactors and the plant itself so I didn't take any chances.
  16. oh! so that's why she tried to stop me...dammit!.. that means she probably wasn't an alien then. She would flip her skirt up, and she had "STOP" written across the top of her panties, but I was scared...aliens scare me...i'm such an idiot...but what if it was a trick, and she really was an alien? You just never know about these things.
  17. Me too. I've got a couple of Cannonball DVD's.
  18. Forgot about Hijack, I have it on a VHS tape. Never seen Moonfire, i'll have to check it out.
  19. yes, that's it...did see this one in Gladys though. She tried to flag me down, but I didn't stop because I only saw 2 toes on her feets- she might have been an alien.
  20. yep, right across the road. I think it was called Midway Salvage. I've eaten there, but it was several years ago. At the diner that is, not the salvage yard. Used to be an 860 GMC sitting on the left somewhere before you get to Allentown, but it's been long gone.
  21. nah, sometimes I wear a Peterbilt cap though. Jeff bought this KW brand new and it didn't even come with floor mats, so I took the one out of the passenger side of the Pete before it left. The one on the driver side was worn out or I would have used that. I precision cut the brake pedal notch in it myself with my pocket knife. Looks factory, eh?
  22. Lot of places with dust problems and constant traffic, like sawmills, woodyards, quarries, etc. did that. And it would pack down as hard as concrete. Calcium chloride works too, but it's very expensive. Only time they'd spread calcium chloride at the Westvaco yard was when the people who lived across rt.60 from the woodyard complained about it covering everything in their house. Raymond would bring a little Ford tractor over with a hopper on the back, fill it with calcium chloride and ride around the yard until it was empty, and you could kick the ground and you wouldn't see any dust cloud.
