  1. thanks Vinny!
  2. arrrrright then, part two- I picked this load up at B & W Thursday...or maybe it's BWX Technologies, or something like that now. Anyway, they're the nuclear people. Very high security place, they have armed guards all over, machine gun towers, razor wire, the whole deal. They search the truck inside and out before you go in, no cameras, cell phones, cb mike, tv, tobacco products, drugs, alcohol, or weapons are allowed, so I put all that stuff in a sack and left it outside before I went in the facility. I asked them about the old steak knife I put in the truck to slice some tomatoes I brought from home to put on sammiches. They said "oh, that's fine, you can keep that." I put it in the bag anyway, but I still don't understand why it's ok to have a steak knife, but no cd's or dvd's are allowed in. Maybe they thought I was a ninja, and a cd would be deadly in my hands. This is what I picked up. Went to a scrapyard in McKeesport, Pa. I thought it was stainless steel, which it is really, but it's something called "Inconel alloy 690". ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inconel) The guy that loaded it said what I had on was worth about a quarter of a million dollars. I asked about it at McKeesport and they said it had a very high nickel content. The steak knife... Saw some big Mack trucks... this one ain't looking so good... Cabover KW wrecker in Blue Ridge, Va. I was sitting in Flatwoods, W.V. and saw this load of wood going to the particle board place. And this red Mack truck. Picked up 5 coils in Pittsburgh, going back to Lynchburg. A hayes grizzly on a Kenworth out of Canada. Took a lot of random road shots- headed up to that little dot on top of the mountain. and there it is.... more road shots- and then...on the way home I saw this girl sitting in a chair by the road in Winfall.
  3. They just got you married, that's all.
  4. We need more of this...
  5. There's an old saying, "it's just as easy to be nice to people as it is to be hateful" and it's very true, makes you wonder why some people choose to be a-holes.
  6. She's getting warmed up for her turn on the pole...
  7. Took a few so far, mostly playing with the new picture taking device. Saw this aminal in a tree before I left. Saw this creature on the side of a boxcar in Dillwyn. Saw these goats. I never changed any settings on the camera but they looked different, the sun was already down. Then I took a picture of the sky because that one cloud looked like a dog's head. Saw some machines too-orange ones and yellow ones. Nice nut covers,eh? I saw a car... ...and a girl in a car. Saw some apples too. Leaves are already turning. Still liking that zoom! That house and those transformers are way over there. The sign on the fence. Mountain in Lynchburg.
  8. Took a couple pictures of the rail when I unloaded Monday.
  9. I think he was a member here- seems to me somebody commented on his truck one time and he apparently joined just to reply to that comment, and hasn't been heard from since. Anybody else remember?..I could have dreamed it, but I don't think so.
  10. again.
  11. thanks, those are good looking B's. The black and blue looks really good.
  12. never got to Nashville, but getting through Knoxville is bad enough. From the 75/40 split to the 40/81 split is just a big pain in the ass, very congested. Getting there right around 5 o'clock Friday evening didn't help either.
  13. me too.
  14. me neither.
  15. yep, came up 59 to 24 to 55 over to McMinnville, then north on 56 to where I loaded, place called Tennsmith. Then I took 56 north up to 40.
  16. Remember him best from McHale's Navy. Saw on the guide where he was on Hee-Haw on RFD TV yesterday, but I didn't watch it.
  17. Holy mackerel, hey Paul!
  18. Saw this on facebook, on a page called Va. Large Cars. I'm 99.9999901799999% sure it's the one I used to drive.
  19. Great pictures, thanks! Been working on this stupid computer all morning again, kept freezing up on me, and i'm already out of likes!
  20. yeah, it would be nice to have, but it would probably cost a small fortune to feed it.
  21. Yeah, I wanted the bigger L820 model Nikon mainly because it looked way cooler, but I read a lot of online camera reviews and decided for what I wanted-road shots- this point and shoot would be better suited for it. It actually had a higher rating than the L820 did. The zoom is just awesome- it's a 14X zoom and the Canon is only 5X, but it's so clear when it's zoomed all the way it's amazing. Here's another test picture I took this morning, standing on the front porch. The Jeep is parked 2 houses down. The first picture is not zoomed in at all, the second two are zoomed all the way...i'll just let the pictures speak for themselves. I'm liking it so far!
  22. I forgot to say the truck that turned over was a Western Star- you can see it in the picture just to the left of the 50mph. exit sign. Passenger side windshield is gone. The driver was not hurt.
