  1. wow, you just can't stay out of that Superliner, gotta go bobtailing on the snow and ice,eh? That's great though, i'm glad you're enjoying it and glad you got unstuck and didn't have a huge wrecker bill to pay.
  2. .
  3. The pensions are what gets me. They get elected once and they're set for life. I think that's why a lot of politicians get into politics in the first place, not to actually do anything positive for the country.
  4. I don't have that one, I have a B buckle like this. But I don't have anything to trade either, 'cept a Winchester buckle. I don't remember where it came from. I also have a Texas key ring thing with a picture of an armadillo on it. If I could get randyp to autograph it it would be priceless! I've had the Snap-on key fob since 1974, got it from the Snap-on man for Christmas.
  5. oh...you should tell her to get that Superliner too, since she's already out there. And tell her to be careful not to put any scratches on it!
  6. better get back to brushing!
  7. reminds me of a picture I once saw...
  8. yeah, the waving hands were very popular back then, everybody had one for a while. I later broke all the fingers off except the middle one.
  9. I think the splitter buttons were both black, like in Mark's picture, but I really don't remember for sure.
  10. That's like most of the ones I drove when I drove cabovers. Here's an old polaroid of the interior of a '74 Transtar with a VT903. This was a RT9513 ,13 spd.direct. Some 13 spds had the same type knob but it had 3 positions on it- lo, direct, and hi. They didn't have the separate range selector valve as shown, you just went through the bottom 5 in low, moved the button to the middle position "direct" for your range shift, then split the top 4 direct/overdrive normally. I've driven both types in the same year truck, and both were Transtars.
  11. the guy who posted these said in some of the comments that he had asked the owner about the sleeper cab B model and trailer but he didn't want to sell either one. About any of the others i've no idea.
  12. I also would've passed up the girl that spun out. All that snow stuck to the bottom of her boots will fog up your interior glass and you'd have to park somewhere while she licks the windows clean. Who wants to deal with all that? It's one of my favorites.
  13. nice to get something that's not a bill,eh?
  14. I knew Oliver and Massey Ferguson did, didn't know John Deere used them though.
  15. Only made one round this week, took that load to Warren,Ohio and reloaded scrap coils in Weirton,W.V. going to Suffolk,Va. Only picked up 4 coils,19,800 lbs. Had 10 on the last load I took down there from Indiana. Saw snow in West Virginia, North of Charleston there was none. Saw more in Ohio though. Saw a car stuck in the snow. Some road shots- The old Weir-Cove terminal in Weirton. That girl might have been broke down, but I think she had a cell phone so I didn't stop. A power plant or something down by the Gauley river. The big round green thing is visible through the trees on the left of the first picture. The big round green thing again. I was paying some bills this morning, thought it must be renewal time for the ATCA, but no, it was a nice Christmas card and a decal instead- thanks Doug and everyone!
  16. According to Old Bill,http://www.thedieselgypsy.com/ , you should keep XP as long as you can. He always said it was the best.
  17. I used to use AOL, but it seemed to get slow, then switched to IE because everything worked better, then switched to firefox, now everything seems to work better and faster with google chrome for some reason. Pretty much use it all the time now except for checking e-mail on AOL and IE. I used to have my pc set to automatically install updates but I changed that setting. Now I look at them and pick the ones I want, or think I want anyway. I don't know what a lot of them are or what they actually do, but sometimes the updates seemed to screw up something that worked good before the update was installed.
  18. I saw an old Massey Harris called "The Purple Goose" at a tractor pull many years ago, had a 427 chevy in it.
  19. at least he wasn't wearing gloves with the fingers cut out.
  20. I'll just look at the pictures- https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.398198710253557.92071.100001902948469&type=3 Lots of pictures here, I don't know if you have to sign in to facebook to see them or not.
  21. DigDug has a Superliner doo-doo pumper.
  22. Didn't get any cereal numbers, I was looking at truck pictures on facebook. All it said was "Marion,Va." That's down near Bristol. Had a couple of decent looking B models with the integral sleeper too.
  23. I think this is a U-model. These are not U models. Neat looking Cannonball wrecker though.
  24. I passed by after Vinny left. Didn't see any hitchhikers, but I did see the driver headed to her Superliner.
  25. I'll see if I can find it- might be stuffed in the closet...or under the couch...behind the refrigerator...
