  1. good idea, it'll kill the fleas too.
  2. Yes, it's Cliff Bishop, not Chris. I can't find mine, I know it's around here somewhere! Here's a link to it on amazon, that's where I got mine from. Saw it advertised in a magazine and ordered it, I was well pleased with it.http://www.amazon.com/Eighteen-Wheels-North-Alaska-Bishop/dp/1594331103/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1352559536&sr=1-3&keywords=trucking+in+alaska
  3. where did I see that picture?..might have been on facebook- anyway, it showed a little kid pulling a wagon, with another kid riding in the wagon. the caption said something like "when too many people get in the wagon for a free ride, eventually there won't be enough people to pull it". that pretty much sums up the way it is now.
  4. I've got a really good book here somewhere, by Chris Bishop I believe. He worked and drove in Alaska for years, until he was in his 80's. He tells the story of these big Macks and their mission, the Letourneau Snow Train, and lots of other driving adventures he took part in. Good book, even has lots of pictures.
  5. They had over a foot of snow up there I think. Snowed last Monday or Tuesday night, none since. it's been pretty warm since then too, and there's still that much laying around up in them there hills.I try to get you some road shots. This is from 2009, in Montana. One of my favorites.
  6. I only know my basic colors, my crayolas only have 8 in the box.
  7. Added bonus picture- blue tractor, brown field, green disc, yellow dress, tan ass.
  8. Never seen a motor grader this big! Saw this too (sorry Randy)- might be my long lost cousin's.
  9. Well, David's back at it, so I am too. Nothing much out of the ordinary this week, nothing that would be considered outstanding kodiakatronomy anyway. I did see my reflection in a hubcap though- Saw lots of axles in Michigan, here's just a few of them. A Mack with the lifting 5th. wheel in Bluffton,In. They use it to dump loads of scrap aluminum. A closer look. Saw this mixer there tooSaw the same mixer the last time I loaded there Aluminum logs I loaded in Bluffton, In. A blue tractor in a brown field. Used trucks for sale in Rockford,Oh. There's an MH Mack hiding up in there. The Honda factory in Marysville. KW hauling a huge flag. I saw a bighorn sheep too. Rt. 33 in Ohio. Snow in W.V. Holy hamburgers, there's a Mack over there with an offset cab!.. but it's probably a DM.
  10. People are idiots, look at former mayor Marion Barry in D.C. He was caught on film smoking crack cocaine in a motel room and they still reelected him mayor.
  11. Here's a couple of H model wreckers.
  12. Late? Bah!, I'll show you late! Happy Birthday!!
  13. I saw Art Reed in Montvale, Va. had another Superliner sitting at his place, solid black, a little faded looking but otherwise looked pretty decent. Might be too far away to be of interest though. Art's a good fellow, a Mack man too.
  14. There's plenty of it still laying around in West Virginia though.
  15. Did anyone happen to see the election results map in the USA Today yesterday? I just happened to take a picture of it if you didn't. Most of the country was "Romney red", except for where the the big shot city slickers and Hollywood types live...and those with their hands out. This one shows it even better, every county in every state. Take Virginia for example- the whole southern and western part, home of morals and values, was for Romney. The heavily populated tidewater area, Richmond area, and of course the northern Va./ D.C. suburbs went with Obama and that carried the whole state. And California- the area where they farm and work and have morals and values went with Romney, but the heavily populated areas like L.A. and San Fransissysco carried the state for Obama. Pretty close election overall, hardly a domination. Oklahoma, Utah, and West Virginia got it right anyway.
  16. Do they even have U-models in Australia? Wouldn't they look like this?
