  1. I voted and put my absentee ballot in the mailbox this morning.
  2. Hope you're OK. You should check in periodically, along with olive,Timothy, rhasler,Paul, leversole, and on and on...if i've offended you,i'll just go away quietly, never to be seen or heard from again. But here's a hot babe just for old times sake-
  3. so...what i'm hearing you say is you'll probably never pitch in the big leagues again?
  4. ...and like 41chevy said, if it has rubber fuel lines the inside of the line will suck together and cut the fuel flow off when they get old sometimes, and it will still look fine from the outside. I had this happen before on a cabover KW. If you go with an electric fuel pump, the closer you mount it to the tank the better, rather than closer to the carb, so it will push the fuel.
  5. I'll copy it with my new obamaphone and it'll be upright- like magic...
  6. I like it- not too fancy or chromed out, just looks like it's supposed to.
  7. Another hay picture from the interweb machine, saw it in on facebook. Maybe this is what Olive's been busy doing lately. Wonder what's holding up the center bales on the tanker? And here's the birth announcement Morgan put in the Appomattox paper- ...wonder where he gets it from...
  8. A fellow around here had a pretty good size fleet of tandem dumps in the '80s with 427 engines and 5x2 setups, and they ran and pulled well with no major issues that I know of. I could have bought a 1960,61,or 62 C-80 once for $500. It was a single axle,5spd,2 speed rear,no body on it,good cab, just a little rust on the fenders, and it had a good running 348 engine in it. The owner didn't have a title but he said he'd help me get a title for it. I've wished ever since i'd bought it, the engine was worth the asking price. Don't know what ever became of it,but the man who had it was killed just a year or so ago when a tree he was cutting fell on him.
  9. I don't remember seeing any either. I have seen cabover Diamond Reo UPS trucks though.
  10. wow, didn't know they'd wear out that fast.
  11. I took a load up there from the same place a few years ago, it wasn't too bad.
  12. I went north to Oakland, Md. this week, reloaded in Leetsdale, Pa, to Petersburg, Va. then took a trip south to Dothan, AL. Saw this Freightliner for sale in Oakland- no big deal, but it was way over yonder from where I took the picture. Saw a really neat John Deere combine made out of hay bales. A girl in a car. Beautiful fall scenery. A bulldozer on a trailer going down the mountain. An Autocar with bulldog mirrors. Another girl in a car. A big Mack truck. Some construction equipment in N.C. on I-85. Another bulldozer. Eufala, Al. is a pretty place. Another girl in a car, this one had a KW emblem between her legs. A big cotton pickin' machine in the field. 3 nice looking Petes for sale just up the road here on rt. 29. Load of things I picked up in Enterprise, Al. yesterday. They deliver Monday in Lakehurst, N.J. Good paying load, but I dread the thought of having to go to New Jersey.
  13. Dang, sorry to hear of this! My thumb is still sore from where that strap broke when I was tightening it, and that's just a thumb- you gonna be hurtin' a while!
  14. I've never seen it either, apparently I haven't missed anything though. Ice Road Truckers did kind of jump the shark. Except for Hugh, Alex, and Rick, all they do is whine about who's leading the load count. The gold mining in Alaska show is pretty good though- I heard that guy on a radio interview once and he said not one bit of that show is staged, it's all real just like it happens.
  15. From the Full Throttle Saloon facebook page.
  16. sounds like something olive would say- are you really olivetroad, posting under an assumed name?
  17. Here's a picture of an extremely rare, seldom seen, and never before photographed UB-53S mixer.
  18. looks like it was taken at that place in Troutville that had all the Macks for sale.
  19. It's just a rude thing to do. I can understand people not wanting folks crawling all over their trucks uninvited. My truck's not really a show truck so I don't mind, but the doors being ajar is sort of an invitation to look in if they want to, but I've never even seen anybody in it. " ...I don't really have a way of keeping people out."- put some yellow "crime scene" tape around it.
