  1. thank you very much indeed.
  2. so who was quicker?
  3. I've got a t-shirt with the B-model front on it that almost looks 3-d now. If I keep expanding it'll look like an extended hood.
  4. I was wondering if they did that work themselves, everything they've got looks professionally restored, and good.We ran through rain on and off all the way there, pretty hard rain around Blackstone, but it was beautiful when we got there. And that hot rod might cruise good at 80 but I don't think i'd like to be in it! Would have liked to hear it running though.
  5. I noticed he was too fat to ride in the cab any more, had to ride on the boat to watch for icebergs, get slapped by tree limbs.
  6. ...a picture of the load, it was big. I was like Papa am I a little too over loaded with branches? He says nope, let me throw another stump or three on there...
  7. Yes, keep up the good work guys- and be careful out there!
  8. I'm just a nobody, and I realize that. It really pisses me off that actors and other celebrities think everybody else should care about their opinion just because they're celebrities. I couldn't care less what Sean Penn, Ed Asner, George Clooney, or Jane Effin Fonda think. I'm sure they think otherwise, but the fact is the world could get by just fine without them. Firemen, policemen, construction workers, and truck drivers on the other hand are very important to the country's overall well being.
  9. or if you were asleep minding your own bidness in a truckstop somewhere and somebody hit one of them air starters in the parking lot- they'd make you jump straight up and bounce off the ceiling in the sleeper!
  10. I know Edgcomb had several of the stainless steel ones made, but I don't know how many there were. I used to go out and look at the one where we loaded- it was up around Bristol, or Fairless Hills maybe? What used to be Edgcomb Steel in Troy, Va. is called MacSteel now.Yeah, I was hoping I might see you there. But those pictures were everything that was there- that was all the Whites except the ones that are in the museum. Colfax will probably be the next show I get to.
  11. OK, I admit it- I altered the picture slightly. Here's what it looked like at first.
  12. Yes indeed, this is the boat, boating, and fishing place- "odds and ends". I wondered why Vlad hadn't been posting much lately.
  13. that turkey does have a huge pecker though...
  14. "true that!"...nocluejoe66,1941.
  15. Joke From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia A joke[1] is something spoken, written, or done with humorous intention. Jokes may have many different forms, e.g., a single word or a gesture (considered in a particular context), a question-answer, or a whole short story. The word "joke" has a number of synonyms, including wisecrack, gag, prank, quip and jest.[1] To achieve their end, jokes may employ irony, sarcasm, word play and other devices. Jokes may have a punch line, i.e. an ending to make it humorous. A practical joke or prank differs from a spoken joke in that the major component of the humour is physical rather than verbal (for example placing salt in the sugar bowl). Purpose Jokes are typically for the entertainment of friends and onlookers.
  16. That turkey don't look very intimidating to me. Besides, it's just a joke, everybody here knows i've never altered anyone's photo in any way, eh?
  17. They did David. The show was supposed to be from 8am. to 4 pm, but when I left around 2 I followed 2 trucks out that were leaving then.
  18. It was a Frederickson cab, they used to run a lot of Whites.
  19. thanks Joe, I didn't photoshop them either.
  20. "well blow me down!"...Popeye,1922.
  21. I went down to the White Bash at the Keystone Tractor Museum today. I was surprised at how few trucks were there, and how few people were there too. I would have expected a lot bigger turnout, but the trucks that were there looked great. Saw Randy's tractor again. Nice Autocar A green White A stainless steel Autocar. This truck, or one just like it, used to sit out front at Edgcomb Steel just north of Philadelphia, where we used to load steel pretty often. A 3000 White I think this was my favorite. I remember seeing this truck in an auction brochure. Autocar wrecker I liked this one too. and this was ...strange good looking dump truck some more- 55 Chevrolet Brockway that wasn't in the museum last time I was there.
  22. "that's my story, and i'm stickin' to it!"...Richard M. Nixon, 1874.
