That's pretty funny- I went back and read the lower captions to the photos above. Now I really want to see the mystery hole.

I'm not sure, that's a mystery too. There's a cable across the driveway in the picture with a sign on it, but it might be open on just weekends, or during the day. It was around 6:30 or 7pm. when I passed by.

They must be a recent invention, I would have liked to bury most of my teachers in a shallow grave under the bleachers at the football field.

I finally managed to muster up enough energy to make one trip this week. I felt terrible the first part of the week. I called Ma this morning, and she wanted to know if i'd been bitten by a mosquito. She said it sounded like the west nile virus, and that had been reported in the area. I was laying on the ground jacking the mixer up to change the tires last week and stirred up dozens of mosquitos, so I probably did get bitten a few times. I think maybe I caught the swine flu, because I was watching Hog Hunters on tv last week. And Jo thinks I got a virus from playing on the computer... So, anyway, I took a load of lumber to Roseville, Ohio and brought firebrick back from Alliance. Ran across 60 from Charleston coming back because I invested my money in a bag of sweet corn and some nice tomatoes at the produce stand in Newcomerstown. Bought 4 dozen ears, just put most in the freezer. Saw this double sleeper cabover for sale east of Charleston. Been sitting there a pretty good while. This is Chimney Corner, heading east on rt. 60. This is a girl in a car. and this is the mysterious "Mystery Hole". These are some of the old truckstop just east of Ansted. The little booth is the old scales, where you weighed one axle at a time. I think it cost .25 cents an axle- I paid $8.00 at Mineral Wells to weigh that load of lumber Thursday. This used to be a state weigh station, just a little ways past the truckstop. You can still see the concrete pad with the grooves where they put the portable scales in, right there between the power pole and that first group of trees. I hit this fellow coming through Lynchburg last night- It was so big I thought it was a bat at first, but it was just a big moth. ...and this is a red dump truck-

I made a few pickled eggs last week. Used leftover dill pickle juice and hot sauce, haven't tried 'em yet. Never tried the dill pickle juice before either, usually put a few in leftover hot pepper juice and pickled beet juice.

well I used to, and still do sometimes. I've been sick all week with an upper respiratory tract infection, cut me some slack- besides, if it weren't for that tinfoil hat...

true, true- in fact, I just googled "wierdest person on bmt" and the first 18 pages of results all said the same thing- "hatcity". I must say, I did not bother to check page 19 however.

Saw this Mack in Flatwoods, W.V. I looked at the license plate to see if it was out of Canada, because Peterbilt was spelled wrong, or central Illinois, because the piss on Peterbilt decal was there in the first place. It was neither, had N.Y. plates on it. Saw an R-model log truck with a rusty door in Estill, S.C. this morning- Saw an R-model log truck without a rusty door in Dillwyn, Va. too. and a dump truck in McKees Rocks I even saw a Euclid.

Used to be a bar across the road from the truckstop in Dallas Pike W.V, just east of Wheeling, that had the front of a Transtar IH as the door, you opened the grill and walked right through the front of the truck. Don't know if it's still there, only saw it once in the early '80's.

I don't know what it is, it's a mystery. I don't even recall ever seeing anybody there. I used to have a picture of the building and the VW, but I must have deleted it.
