    Vin:

that reminds me of that prick on Ice Road Truckers that was "training" the guy from Missippi or Alabama last year. The brown nose, can't remember his name. The guy from down south has probably got more miles backing up than the brown nose has going forward, but they got rid of him so Lisa would end up with more loads.

    Vin:

...brakes locked up...tires smokin'...tryin' to git stopped!
  3. well...shhhhhh....oooooot! Happy day late birthday.
  4. you're right about that "stuck" part too. I was unloading pipes at a job site once, several of our trucks were there along with a couple of TMC's with super singles on the drives. They were spinning just trying to drive across wet grass, and we had no trouble at all.
  5. Here's a pretty neat picture. Looks like it might be in Australia- I did not take it.
  6. Jo was just watching This Week With George Stepanouplouidaplotamus on ABC news. They're already arguing about "is gun control the answer?" I agree with Michael Savage's picture. One law abiding citizen with a concealed carry permit in that theatre could have saved many lives. More law abiding citizens should be packing- would that nut job still have done what he did if he even thought there might be armed citizens in that audience?..probably not.
  7. happy birthday Michael, Maynard, and friend. hope I didn't miss anybody.
  8. Happy birthday!I'm gonna try to get that load of lumber to Oakland Md. today- the one that was supposed to have been there Thursday.
  9. That's one reason not to get a big tattoo on your neck- if you turn to a life of crime you could be picked out of a lineup 10 years later.Jimmy used to drive for H.H. too. I stayed there until after H.H. passed away and they hired a dispatcher who was a total dick before I went 8 miles up the road. Jeff and Todd had wanted me to come drive for them from the start. H.H.'s son and daughter were running H.H.Moore Trucking at this time, and I liked both of them but I had no use for that sorry p.o.s. dispatcher. Before my wife passed away she said many times "as soon as Mrs. Moore (H.H.'s wife) is gone Larry and Bonnie are going to sell that place" And I always said "naw, I don't think so" Shortly after she passed they sold out to PGT. They had all the old trucks resigned with PGT and ran a few trucks out of the old shop for a little while before moving everything back to Monaca. Now the old building is an auto repair shop. H.H.Moore had been in business since 1946.
  10. I know that sound, but I didn't know how to spell it 'til now.
  11. It's hard to take a good drive-by picture- you done good! And sorry Vinny- but tits beats a U model every time.
  12. That's him. He has a big tattoo on his neck, and used to drive full time before he took over the shop. I was still driving for H.H.Moore then, who was F.L.Moore's daddy, Jeff and Todd's grandfather. I know exactly where that little fuel stop is, there's a sub shop in there too, but it's not a Subway, it's a...uh...something else- Quizno's maybe? I'm the old, gray haired, fat, balding, guy. Oh wait, that description fits most F.L.M. drivers.
  13. Great! I went back through all the "Double Clutch" magazines today, and still couldn't find it. I'm just gonna ask Doug- Hey Doug, do you remember the twin 6-71 Euclid story, and which issue it was in?..thank you.
  14. Yes, you'd best do some experimenting with that lift axle. I had one on a steerable dolly I used to pull. It had a dial on the dash that you turned to put more or less pressure on it, but I don't remember how much pressure you normally put on it. I just let it barely touch the ground. I do remember my wife's cousin having one on a GMC tandem dump truck, and the first time he used it he blew both tires out- brand new tires- because it was carrying too much load.
  15. I couldn't catch the big one that was in the tree- if I had she'd be smoking in the grill now.
  16. That's what i'm sayin'- anybody can drive a 10 speed roadranger, but it takes timing and skill to drive a 5 speed Mack!
  17. what?!! no camera? I just went to Wal Mart- I mean the Wal Mart store- and had a camera with me. It's OK this time, but let's just hope randyp doesn't hear about this.
  18. apparently not. they just got it fixed yesterday too. they're gonna leave it outside the gate so I can pick it up tomorrow. And Jimmy, our chief mechanic, talked like it's been a pretty common problem in these T660's. They said Thursday they had the whole dash out of it , they must have had to take the truck apart to get those bushings in...86,000 miles. I bet that plastic bag of dirty, filthy, wet, sweaty clothes that was in the passenger side floorboard are smelling good about now too!
  19. I went to the Wal-Mart store a while ago, rode up 29 north a ways towards Lynchburg first. I was gonna try to get a picture of the big oak tree that fell on a 50-something 2 ton Chevrolet truck, but I didn't see it. Thought it was between here and Yellow Branch, but it must be between Yellow Branch and Foster Fuel. I did take some pictures of some things however, here with gripping descriptions- I saw this here Mack loaded on a trailer hooked to that other Mack. and these 2 blurry cars, and a pole a nice looking blurry Mustang- hey, I was using Jo's camera, she was driving. A "dangling M" R-model water truck at the Wal-Mart store and this creature-
  20. Got this link, and the picture, from Micheal Savage- he's right, it does make you think! http://www.naturalne...false_flag.html
  21. Same thing the mixer truck does- i'm hoping tires solve the problem.
  22. I noticed the date on the pictures is Jan. 2007 too. Let's see, that's...hold on...carry the one...over 5 years ago!
  23. They're here- earlier than I expected. Saw this out the kitchen window this morning, so I ran out on the back porch and got a picture.
  24. Each tag represents a trip to Carter Cat with a C-15 Acert twin turbo, for broken rockers and mostly the dreaded "intake valve actuator fault". I'm sure I accumulated a few more after I took this picture. But, the last year or so before Jeff traded the Pete was pretty much trouble free. It was a 550 with the heavy haul package, and it ran and pulled while derated with the engine light on about as good as the new paccar does all the time.
  25. I don't know what MSW is, but this is one of my favorite "girl in car" pictures. This was taken while I was sitting in traffic on I-85 around Concord, N.C. a few years ago. The best one was taken with my film camera and it was on the wall at the shop for a long time.
