  1. what randyp really needs- or maybe that is randy with spot following in the pickup.
  2. I like Mrs. Dash...hate to talk about her like this...but I use her a lot...never tried that lime version though.
  3. don't know about Marie, but i'd probably leave with a big smile on my face.

  5. no indoor plumbing in the shop?
  6. Here's the street view picture of the trucks. I have a big tank.
  7. The clear tape is an excellent ideer, think i'll get a roll of it.
  8. I read this article in HDT. I didn't know that if the tag with the WLL on it is gone off a strap they can count it as only a 1,000 lb. WLL or as no strap at all. I have several straps that the tag has blown off of but they're in perfect condition otherwise. That's just stupid. I would hope that if the DOT checks mine they will have some common sense about it and not be a dick but you never know.
  9. That's right, everybody likes big cans.
  10. I probably ran almost as hard as Mark this week. I left last Sunday with a load of coils going to Duluth,Ga. Unloaded Monday morning and went up to Clarkesville to get a load of lumber that wasn't ready so I had to go over to Rome and load for Moneta then went to Middlefield,Oh. and unloaded then reloaded a load that was supposed to have went to North Jackson, so I took that to North Jackson then went over to Sharon and loaded coils for Lynchburg, then went by the shop to have the truck serviced before I went to Moneta and loaded for Cortland,Oh. after which I loaded in Sharon for Lynchburg again. Got in about 8:00 last night.
  11. the green one looks good and straight. I guess the snow shovel would be included at that price. it was granny and papa for me too.
  12. I never cared much for the cabover Peterbilts, but the KWs were good looking trucks,eh? I drove them for a long time.
  13. we played army in the woods, had sticks for guns. had to make our own sound effects. I was always Sgt Saunders, from the tv show "Combat".
  14. well good for crusty.
  15. ohhhh, I see. Never heard that term before. I won't be needing the recipe then.
  16. I did almost all the above, but not quite. My two brothers and I had to cut the grass at the church and cemetary about a mile from home. Cut it every 2 weeks and we had one riding mower and two push mowers. We pushed and drove the mowers all the way there and back. We took turns on the riding mower, each of us riding it a third of the way. Worked in the hay fields and wheat fields every summer. In the fall we'd get home from school and Daddy would have 2 wagons of corn parked at the barn and we'd shovel a whole wagon load of corn off the wagon into a small door in the barn...i'd unload one and my brother would do the other. We'd shovel with a grain shovel too, no augers, no conveyors, just a grain shovel. Play time was all spent outdoors, in the woods, in the creek, into something. And climbing trees was my thing- just because they were there. There wasn't a tree in the woods I couldn't climb. I even climbed the big hickory tree in the woods behind the house, the tallest tree in the woods. Then I climbed it again and carried a hammer and some nails with me and pulled up some boards behind me with a rope. Then I nailed them up in the top as high as I could get just so everyone would know I had climbed it, kind of like planting a flag on top of Everest.
  17. That's a grocery chain, big in the southeast.
  18. the wrecker looks pretty good too.
  19. Amen brother!..Bulldogman
  20. "B-model" Mike Malone and his sidekick Jerry are lollygagging at the Daingerfield diner to make sure they'll be out of hours when they get back to their terminal... suddenly a strange figure appears outside the window...
  21. Oh yeah, it's good. Here's the recipe- go to Food Lion and get you a bag of skinless, boneless chicken breastesess when they have the "buy one get one free" sale. Put one bag in the freezer, take some out of the other bag ,cut them up, put in crockpot, freeze the rest. add a can or two of chicken broth to the crockpot, maybe some celery seed and a chopped onion. cut each of your cheap canned bistits into 4 pieces-or leave them whole,it just makes a bigger dumpling-and put them in the crockpot. the next day, when you realize you forgot to turn the crockpot on,dump it all out and start over, this time turning the crockpot on. you can use a fresh chicken, you can make your own broth, you can even make your own dumplings, but this is my favoritest and easiest way.
  22. I wonder whatever happened to Bernard Goetz (I think that's how it's spelled)? He's the guy that shot some thugs that tried to mug him on the subway and they arrested him, plus one of his attackers that he wounded and paralized was suing him. I think he got just what he deserved, he won't mug anybody again. And they ought to put a big statue of ol' Bernie in all the subway stations.
  23. exactly- wonder how many small businesses go out of business because they can't afford to pay their employees any more because the minimum wage keeps going up. It's good to have a minimum wage law, but I thought it was more for student's summer jobs, or easy jobs like a pie taster, or the guy that keeps the roller grill loaded with hot dogs, and not supposed to be high enough where you could do a simple job and support a family of 9 or a crack habit on minimum wages. You get a better job that requires more knowlege and skill and you should be paid better. Goes back to the same old thing, people want more and more for doing less and less all the time.
  24. what are anchor babies? are they anything like periogies?
