  1. it's a new one on me. now i'll have to look for them at the Wal-Mart store.
  2. Wish Bubba was still on satellite radio. I used to listen every day.
  3. OK, I have better visibility but a lot less overall class.
  4. Leturneau also built the snow train.
  5. This one was still working as a yard dog where I delivered a load of beams a few years ago. I think this was in Monongahela, Pa.
  6. I like it. One of my first- well actually the first memory- of cars was a '57 Chevrolet that my grandfather traded for a new 1960 Chevrolet. Both were black with white tops. The '60 had a 283 with a powerglide, I don't know what was in the '57. I like the 55,56,and 57's and the 59 and 60 models, but I think the 58's were the ugliest. Now I think those things that look like a shoe box on wheels are about the ugliest cars.
  7. Olivetroad could handle it- it's downhill all the way to the paper mill, and down hill all the way back.
  8. I see this one parked on rt. 7 in Ohio a lot, one of the nicest looking i've seen.
  9. yeah, they're even bigger'n a Peterbilt!
  10. I drove a '74 Transtar with a VT903. They were good for 2600 rpms, ran similar to a 318 Detroit and you had to keep them wound up. Don't remember what kind of fuel milage they got, it wasn't much of an issue then. And they did sound good.
  11. you're right. thought it was a Cat seat at first.
  12. well just get you a spray can of that 3M adhesive spray and spray it all over then drive down a dusty road.
  13. http://www.oldmacksrus.com/trannys.htm
  14. that's just ridiculous. by the way, here's a tractor picture I found.
  15. Rob started this as an experiment to see how many replies a post about absolutely nothing got and how many directions it would take. Just part of the modulating job. Too bad I can't post this other fish picture...
  16. I like the body that's standing on that tractor tire. But Hatcity's got the right idea- paint it like a state truck with a big yellow light on top and put a snow plow on it. Then when the DOT man stops you and says "who are you trying to fool? there's no snow on the road- we average a half inch of snow every 10 years around here!" Then you say "yeah, i'm doing a hell of a job ain't I ?" Then he'll say "have a nice day sir" and leave you alone.
  17. I was long gone by then. I was there between 11 and 11:30, got fuel and went over to Sharon Coatings to load.
