  1. I couldn't care less either, nor am I at all offended by the previous post.
  2. Ran into a situation like that on rt. 10 some years ago. Had a load going to Mullens, W.V. and I ran rt. 10 out of Princeton. Blind curves and no way to keep everything on your side of the road. When I got to Mullens they told me where I delivered "nobody goes that way, you should have went to Beckley and came back down rt.16". NOW you tell me!
  3. yeah! but what about anti-Peterbilt posts?..oh, that's right, unfortunately I no longer get to drive a Pete...never mind. I am still a proud Mack owner though!
  4. Again, unfortunately I no longer get to drive a Peterbilt, so as Randy would say "na-na na boo-boo!"..or something like that. And I like everything here, there's a place for everything too. Just don't look at "Odds and Ends" if you don't want non-truck related stuff, that's for non truck related topics. It's also the first place I go to, I like the stories, jokes, and dead cow pictures myself. In fact, i'm responsible for a lot of it...I could even be part of the problem...I could even BE the problem, so i'll just leave now...last you'll hear of ol' other dog...bye. By the way, the whole "Spot the Wonder Dog" series, proudly written by rhasler and other dog and posted in "Odds and Ends", was a masterpiece!..just my opinion of course.
  5. As we know, Old Bill has been having some difficulties lately. He told me a while back that he was downsizing- getting rid of some stuff, that is- because he's planning to move from Elliot Lake to Blind River at some point. He asked me if i'd be interested in having any of it and I said "hell yeah, i'd be honored to have anything". He already sent me some pictures, some license plates, a cap, calendars, the carved wooden Peterbilt, etc. But yesterday when Jo picked me up at the shop she said "you got a great big box from Old Bill". Came home and opened it and found these pictures, in nice frames, not the dollar store frames like I always use. These pictures are all on his website. The dates on the back of them are 1965 on the B-model picture, 1954 on the cbe KW and Freightliner, and 1970 on the R-model. That's Bill himself by the Autocar. Neat stuff, eh?
  6. I didn't see this today, saw it earlier in the week, but i'm gonna put it in the same post if that's all right with you guys. This was Tuesday or Wednesday in West Virginia. Saw this in Petersburg when I was dropping off and picking up another mill roll.
  7. kinda reminds me of Fred and Lamont's old truck. by the way, thanks for the logo picture- could come in handy later!
  8. I like it!.. the Jimmy that is. And if the Ford gives her any trouble, you could let her drive the screaming Jimmy this winter. You could even get her some chains for Christmas, put a plow on it for her, she'd be unstoppable!
  9. I'd have taken it- I like free stuff! It would go well with my green Freightliner jacket that I use for my work jacket. My Peterbilt, Navistar International, and of course my $25 Mack leather jacket are all too nice to use for work. Ya don't get much free stuff nowadays like you used too. Jeff bought a brand new KW for me to drive and got no hat, no jacket, no nuthin'- heck, it didn't even come with floor mats in it, so I took the one out of the passenger side of the old Pete and put it in it. Took my pocket knife and cut a notch for the brake pedal, looks real nice, says "Peterbilt" on it too. He bought the Pete used and got a jacket with it. He gave it to me and said "this jacket cost me over a hunnert thousand dollars, but I got a free truck with it".
  10. Yep, sure did . On 288 in Richmond. But there could be any number of reasons why this Mack was behind a PACCAR wrecker. Somebody could have traded this dump truck for a new Peterbilt dump truck and when it broke down they might've called and said "bring me my old Mack back, this p.o.s. done broke down on me!"...who knows?
  11. "The only good snake is a dead snake"...John Wayne,1832
  12. Guess they should have read the book too.
  13. Unfortunately, I no longer drive a Peterbilt. Might as well delete this picture. It was one of my favorites.
  14. I think that's what I would do. Too bad you don't have a Peterbilt, looks like it's shaped just right to cover up a Pete emblem.
  15. flexi-van does railroad piggy back trailer and container chassis leasing, but I have no idea what it is you have there. best hang on to it, it's obviously very rare and very valuable.
  16. we went from Oliver tractors to dead cows, to bald eagles, to swallows, to Oliver tractors- one of the reasons I love this site!
  17. I thought he made tractors and farm equipment- no, wait, that was John Deere...never mind, it's that memory thing again.
  18. Let's try out my new audio enhancing feature and see if he said anything...
  19. There's no question that it's a bald eagle- it's very easily identified in this picture that I zoomed in as tight as I could, then used my computer image enhancing software to enhance the image of the bald eagle in the picture that...never mind, see for yourself-
  20. I'm with you fellars*! (Delmar, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?) *except for that "i AM from Jersey" part
  21. That is the car. That's him! My memory ain't what it used to be. Neither is anything else for that matter.
