Well I made a trip to Louisville, Ky this week and had to pick up a load in Sellersburg, In. going to Washington,D.C. Hate going to D.C. Absolutely hate it...that was another great misadventure in itself!..anyhow, when I was unloading at the jobsite in the median on 295 I saw the radiator was leaking. Not a line or hose, the radiator itself. So I went to the shop, and when aluma-seal stop leak didn't help it at all, I got to drive this unit- It was like going fron an Escalade to a Vega...or a Crown Vic to an Escort. ain't this somethin'- can't even see the hood! I must say, it was "the cat's ass" as Larry Wales would say for getting into that tight spot in Milton,W.V. to load these mill rolls though. That summich turns on a dime! You have to pull between these buildings and back in, then you have to make a left turn out of this door. Sounds easy, looks easy enough- but it's tight! only way to get out is pull up straight, then turn hard left-put the left front tire in the man door in that other building, back up once turning hard right until the trailer almost hits the far side of the doorway you're pulling out of, then ahead hard left until you clear the pipe rail by the other building then straight ahead, staying as close to the pipe rail as possible until you're clear. The guys there are great at getting you out though- if you just watch them and do what they say and don't pay any attention to anything else it's a piece of cake. But I never knew the W.V. Turnpike was rough before- couldn't feel the bumps with that low air leaf Peterbilt suspension. Ol' double nickel will be ready Monday, got the radiator fixed and back in it today.
