  1. time to stop lollygagging here and hit the road again.

  2. I posted that picture a long time ago, when Rob was saying something about Peterbilt's usually being behind a wrecker. Thought i'd deleted it long ago but just happen to still have it. That's me waving from the passenger seat.
  3. There's some beautiful specimens in that video- some of the prettiest rainbow trout i've ever seen!
  4. probably had a tachograph at one time. Most of the big companies did.
  5. That Diamond Reo is a clean machine too, good pictures!
  6. Little Johnny's parent's are gone for a weekend alone to take a much needed break from Johnny. They hire a babysitter from the yellow pages and take off. The babysitter arrives hours later... And that's our babysitter tail of the day.
  7. Saw all this yesterday- girl in mini skirt walking down the street, girl in shorts walking down the street, girl on a billboard going nowhere.
  8. I didn't hear anything about any escaped tangarangs, but then I was gone trucking all week.
  9. something looks familiar about that hill
  10. Time to head for Alliance, Oh. I must be off.

  11. I saw a firetruck for sale in Pa. This is on rt. 422 about a mile or so west of I-79.
  12. Actually, the '79 F-model I drove had a 10 speed overdrive- rto910 I believe. 4th. and 5th. gears were backwards from the norm, 4th. was towards the rear, 5th. was towards the dash.
  13. I drove a T800 with a RTO-14613 and it was the worst trans. in any truck I ever drove. Might have just been a bad unit, but it had way too much slack in the counter gears even when the truck was brand new. The 18 speeds are far and away the best I ever drove, but I would imagine they're pretty expensive too.
  14. found more funny pictures- me at Martinsville, 1980- something, and me eating Pringles, date unknown, but probably early '80's. Might have posted this before, cartoonish picture featuring Jeff. I tried to print a picture of a B-model cement mixer but the ink ran out and I drew the rest of it myself. Jeff was not amused- I thought it was pretty good. He must not have the sense of humor someone like...oh, Rob for instance, has!
  15. I'm gonna send that to Bill too!..no reply on the joke yet.
  16. You wouldn't happen to have the Feb. 1973 issue would you? This looks like boobage to me, but I can't tell for sure- I think half her tee-shirt is missing! note both guys have their hands in their pockets!
  17. that's a good one, i'm gonna send that to Old Bill!
  18. The bear returns! And more-
  19. I remember my grandfather telling of tying two cats' tails together and throwing them over the clothesline.
  20. I've used just brake fluid on car tires to make them shine, but all the dust would stick to them. never tried the shoepolish mix.
  21. I've used spray paint on tires many times, looks good for a while.
  22. Speaking of snapping turtles, I once ran a trotline across a small pond and caught these 2, and these eels. All I caught, but the one eel was the biggest i've ever seen. Put the ax there for size comparison, and it's a full size ax, not a hatchet. Date on the pictures was 1986.
