  1. A red Mack, Butler,Pa. There's over 49,000 lbs. of steel plates under that tarp. Nice cabover in Petersburg. Saw an O'hare Towing truck in Pa. Automobile for sale in Ambridge,Pa. Looks like a '55 Chevrolet. A huge digging machine way over yonder,New Castle,Pa.
  2. You could probably order back issues from them, you might check the ATHS website.
  3. A top secret secret spy camera captured this image recently. It's so top secret it even prints the dialogue and reads peoples' minds.
  4. Picked up a new Truck Paper at the Go-Mart in Fairplain yesterday and saw a whole nest of Superliners on the back cover. They're auctioning them off and the opening bid was $1,000. I didn't go to the website and check them out yet, but they look good in the pictures. Saw this other one inside the paper, also a good looking unit.
  5. We go to the Chinese buffet in Altavista once in a while-their cat is delicious, they sure know how to cook 'em,seasoned just right. Tastes like chicken.
  6. I've gotten behind on posting pictures i've taken of things. Here's some I took, and some I found when I was browsing midget porn and typed in truck pictures by accident. These military trucks were huge, looked as big as locomotives! Nice looking Mack at Gerdau-Ameristeel in Petersburg. A trainload of military trucks on the horseshoe curve near Altoona,Pa. A blue Mack, Columbiana,Oh. Female type person fueling up at the Go-Mart. I didn't take this because I saw boobage,I was cleaning my camera and it went off accidently F-model ad,1977 Saw 2 huge rabbits in the back yard this morning.
  7. Ran across this picture a while back and saved it. Almost forgot about it since my pc was out of commission for a while.
  8. Saw this picture today. It's somewhere in Arkansas, forgot exactly where.
  9. Yeah, I don't plant nuthin' I cain't eat! Mackmann thinks the wheels are redneck, the guy that lived 2 houses over from me when I lived in Appomattox used to plant tomatoes in an old bathtub in his yard-now that's redneck, but hey, whatever works,eh?
  10. At least the staple in your fuel receipt is still free at most places but they'll probably start charging for that soon.

  12. I've taken a few drive-by pictures of this truck before, but today I stopped in Appomattox while on the way to Cumberland to see my parents and took a close look at it and took some pictures. Pretty nice looking truck, to be almost as old as I am. Don't know what engine it has, it was hard to see. Thought maybe a 220 Cummins, but it has a turbo on it. I don't know anything about it, who owns it, or what they want for it, just that i'd love to have it. I could drive the mixer in the parade, and Jo could drive the White. If she hit anything she'd certainly be the first one to get there,eh?
  13. Mine's been working pretty good,no problems since I sent Barry my something-or-other number. When my unit was down I only had a signal strength of 15, the hughesnet tech guy,Apu in Indier, said I needed at least 37. Now that i've had a new cable installed it was 71,highest it's ever been, even when it was first installed. Of course I have no idea what any of that really means, but it's working fine as of now.
  14. ...you don't take the tires off the wheels. The steer tires were here and I didn't have tire tools to demount them,so I have truck tires laying in the back yard equipped with anti rabbit protectors. I even hit the ones I took off with green spray paint so they match the grass, just so it wouldn't be redneck lookin'. Heck,I might even get rid of that engine i've had swinging from the tree in the front yard since 1997, and the upside down '93 Taurus too, to unredneckify things around here. I'm gonna go cut some delicious broccoli right now, and have a delicious tomater sammich with lots of mayo in a couple of months...then you'll be wishin' you'd planted some tomatoes in a truck wheel-hah!
  15. And now...the rest of the story!
  16. I had these two old steer tires laying around doing nothing, so I decided to put them to use. I filled them with miracle grow potting soil and planted 2 broccoli plants in each one. They're really growing too, got some ready to cut. All the other wheels and tires are at the shop and i've been demounting them when I have time. Did 2 last week and 2 more yesterday while I was waiting for Jo to get there. The first 2 were a bear to get off, it took me, Jeffrey, Tom, the forklift, everything else we could find, and half a day. Yesterday was pretty easy, knocked out 2 by myself, with a little tire hammer help from Terry and lots of PB Blaster. Got tomaters in these two, cucumbers and squash are planned for the next 2.
  17. You're welcome, it's available at www.motorbooks.com, and probably available and cheaper at amazon.com.
  18. Gotta give credit where credit's due, that's a good one!
  19. Amen brother! I was just north of Wooster, Ohio on rt. 250 Thursday morning, sound asleep in a closed restaurant's parking lot and I woke up around 4:15am because the truck was rocking because of the wind like 2 gorillas were on each side of the cab shaking it violently. Kinda scary, I can only imagine what it must have been like at the Petro in Glade Spring.
