  1. accurate?..in that case, better ask for David, or Bollweevil, or Paul, or anybody but other dog.
  2. .
  3. I'm in too!
  4. free advice, call any time, ask for Rob.
  5. Maybe Larry will help you install a full roll cage, always wear a helmet, and you should be fine.
  6. .
  7. yes it would Bob, but i'd probably have to sell the place to afford it, then I wouldn't have a driveway. If the camper trailer was included that could work though, I could just become a nomad.
  8. and union greed is a big part of the problem. The teachers union is so strong it's almost impossible to get rid of bad teachers, the U.S.Postal Service is about to go bankrupt because of former union contracts, i've mentioned before the dozens of trucking companies unions put out of business, and go to any union steel mill and try to pick up a load and see how long it takes vs. a non-union mill. I'm not anti-union at all, but enough is enough. People just seem to expect more and more and more for doing less and less. How can it possibly help a company stay in business and create jobs if they have to pay workers for doing absolutely nothing- "my machine's down- I could push that 'reset' button and fix it, but that's not my job. I'll have to call maintenance to come push that button. They're on the other side of the plant changing a light bulb right now, then they get a 15 minute break, then they'll be over to push the button and i'll be back in business. Meanwhile, i'll go take a dump and read the paper."
  9. This would look good in Rob's driveway http://barrie.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-classic-cars-1957-B61-RV-Towing-Unit-W0QQAdIdZ277714659
  10. Yes, it is normal to have to ease off the clutch a little when sitting still then push it all the way down to get it in gear. The clutch brake stops everything and the gears might not be lined up until you ease off it a little.Just don't push the pedal all the way to the floor when you're moving, or the clutch brake will last about as long as Pat stayed in the army.
  11. now that's an ideer! "we have these pocket knives on sale, today only! only $27,532.16! if you're interested in a short term loan, just sign these documents right there on the dotted line!"
  12. Yes, even I...onced changed the oil in my hot rod '72 Nova. Used that expensine Union 76 racing oil, I worked at a 76 station, and dumped 5 quarts in before I realized i'd never put the drain plug back in.
  13. "Good" truckstops are nearly impossible to find anymore. I used to like to stop at Pharoah's on 81 in Pa.- i'd go out of my way to stop there, good home cooked food, no instant anything, no frozen anything, a 16 oz. t-bone was around $7.00 (ok,so it's been a while), and the waitresses all wore very short skirts...very short. Then it was sold, then it sucked, now it's closed. All truckstops cater to now is tourists and 4 wheelers. They want trucks to come in and buy $800 worth of diesel fuel, spend some money, then get the hell out. I was waiting at the Pilot for the fuel desk girl to turn the pump on, but she had to wait on all the tourists lined up to buy Dr. Peppers and Doritos first, so I left- and the low fuel light was on when I got there. The old 76 Truckstops used to have a section in the restaurant reserved for truck drivers, and the sign said they would be served first, 'cause they gotta go. Don't see anything like that anymore either. It's all fast food and tourists.
  14. I haven't been over that way in a while, but if I had to go northeast i'd usually stop at the 98 because there was always plenty of parking space. I'd usually walk over to Burger King and get something to eat, then take a nap until the D.C traffic cleared some, then get up and go in the store for a Red Bull before I hit the road. Remember Big John Trimble? He used to broadcast the first trucking show on radio on WRVA 1140 from Jarrell's truckstop, before Bozo or any of the others. He was the first I remember anyway.
  15. Does this mean Spot's out of a job?
  16. Amen, brother.
  17. I like no. 3.
  18. I'd rather see Dave kick Tony's ass. He's the company brown nose, know-it-all, snitch, and a-hole in general. Every company's got a Tony.
  19. If it did there shouln't be any problem pumping it back up first thing every morning.
  20. Hung Chow calls into work and says, 'Hey, I no come work today, I really sick. Got headache, stomach ache and legs hurt, I no come work.' The boss says, 'You know something, Hung Chow, I really need you today,I got customers piling up outside. When I feel sick like you do, I go to my wife and tell her to give me sex. That makes everything better and I go to work. You try that.' Two hours later Hung Chow calls again. 'I do what you say and I feel great. I be at work soon........ by the way, You got nice house.
  21. now that looks good enough to eat!
  22. That'll keep you busy for a while- looks like you're pretty far behind!
  23. Tough choice at my age...never thought i'd say that. The Mack would probably be more fun for a longer period of time, but i'd like to at least take the other for a test drive.
  24. So, while the fat man was doing all that, what were you doing?
  25. Wow Rob, you make me feel so worthless...I should have been working on my fuel filter- At least I had more fun than you did!..I think. Both of my sons came over, and some other folks too. I was worried that I had too much food, then worried that I didn't have enough, turned out to be just right! A great time was had by all!..even though Mark didn't come and tell us any truck driver stories. That was a great disapointment, but we still had a great time-everybody loved the ribs, so that made my day. My official rib cookin' uniform-thank you Mike! 4 racks of ribs- 1 had Bone Sucking Sauce, 1 Open Pit, 1 Kraft, and 1 Sweet Baby Ray's. Cooked them all the same, then wrapped them in aluminum foil and added the barbecue sauce. I like Open Pit, but Bone Sucking Sauce was everyone's favorite by far. I also cooked a huge batch of chicken wings, that's taters, onions, and mushrooms in the aluminum pan.
