  1. This oughta be a Euclid,'cause it's green. It's at least kin to a Euclid because it was made by Terex, owned by General Motors of Canada at the time.
  2. Hmmm...look what I found- a blue Euclid. Randy's right,George Krylon,George Krylon III,Benjamin Moore,Sherman Williams,and myself were all wrong.
  3. Looks like the famous "snow train". I think the same company made the snow train.
  4. AH-HAH! Yes,I can see it now. Couldn't find a Ford cab taken from the right angle so I put this nose on it. Fits like it was made for it.
  5. Well my hat's off to that fellow. Took balls to get up in that thing and actually drive it!
  6. I got one for you. I saw this on Hank's Truck Pictures before, had to go back and find it. The caption didn't say what it was but when I saved it the name was "ford ex convoy". Kinda resembles a Sightliner International, but it's nothing i've ever seen before.
  7. And apparently it's true that what's been deleted is not really deleted I just saw an oldy but goody. A picture of the Chevy truck with a van body, fixed up as a living quarters complete with a chimney, satellite tv antenna, and the back half of the fuel truck on the rear. Said "The Robmobile" on the side.I remember posting that picture here. Don't remember what the occasion was,but it was deleted long ago,and there it was!
  8. Yep. Probably had to take a pee-pee test immediately.
  9. I remember that question being on a drivers license test-probably the first one I ever took. Which way should your wheels be turned while waiting to make a left turn, left, right,or straight ahead? I actually picked "to the left" and got it wrong and i've never forgotten it.The right answer is straight ahead of course, just for this reason.
  10. "you give up to easy"...Benjamin Moore,1244 B.C.
  11. I used to use a picture as my desktop background picture-any picture, usually one of mine, except for Eva Longoria for a while.Kept the same picture 'til I got tired of it.I recently went to the control panel and changed the background picture so it keeps changing, going through all my Kodak pictures-over 1900 pictures at last count- that I had saved on my pc. I gave my parents one of those electric picture frames for Christmas last year, selected a few hundred pictures and put them on a memory stick to use in the frame. Now,Jobyna said I should update a card for them since i've added so many pictures in the last year.So I went to the Wal-Mart store and got a big memory stick card that held like 3,000 pictures and put every picture in my Kodak collection on it. 1,907 pictures in all. Problem is,some of the pictures in the rotation on my screen are pictures that I deleted years ago.You know me when it comes to pictures...one was the one of Jo where I cut-copy-pasted her looking at a car at Toga and she wasn't wearing any pants. Caption said "I knew I forgot something". I told Ma there might be offensive content and she said not to worry about it...but still,it's my mother. I hope they didn't copy to the card, like I said,i've deleted them from the computer, but they still show up when they flash across my screen-even Jo cussing at Santa Claus-Santa with the huge...eh,never mind. She put the memory stick in the mail Wednesday.
  12. That's the main thing...still a bummer though.
  13. We've never had a trailer that had them, the trailer I pull has short lengths of chain on each side that you can pull up thru a hole and use for tie-downs.Has basically a big washer at each end,one covers the hole when you don't use them, the other is slightly bigger than the hole so the chain doesn't pull all the way through the hole. These are for tie downs if you use a side kit. Getting back to the question,i've seen many steel haulers use them to tie down coils,so there shouldn't be any problem with load securement, they're easy and convenient to use,I think it's a great ideer.
  14. I'm pretty sure some of the giant "unloaders" I've seen were Wabcos too, unloading logs in Emporia. I believe it's Meritor-Wabco nowadays.
  15. I stand by the previous statement-"if it ain't green,it ain't a Euclid"...George Krylon,1832. "John Henry Rudolph Behr was a dick"...George Krylon III,1908. "If I owned General Motors,I would make huge off road trucks, call them Euclids, put only Detroit Diesel engines in them, and paint everything lime green"...Sherwin Williams,1763. See,I know my history too. I had a picture of a red Euclid I saw in Ohio, but I must have deleted it.Looked odd to see one that wasn't green,as that was the only one i've ever seen that wasn't.
  16. Great! I found the shop, now i'm gonna get on google earth and search rt.116 until I find an ugly ass green Jeep Cherokee in a driveway.
  17. More pictures of the week- This is a mill roll I brought back to the steel mill in Petersburg from Milton,W.V. I took one up there to be refurbished, and brought this one back. It shined like chrome when I loaded it,looked like this when I stopped by the shop. They have many mill rolls at the mill. And they have a Euclid-a green one. A new KW at the shop-these have the new Paccar engine, the new Freightliners have DD15's. Drivers are already complaining about the lack of power the paccar engines have.
  18. Couldn't be a Euclid, they're all green.Matter of fact, there was a Euclid parked over to the far side of this truck but I didn't take a picture.
  19. Great! I found the shop, now i'm gonna get on google earth and search rt.116 until I find a rusty, yet trusty, crusty Dodge in a driveway.
  20. I...uh...well-OK,I look at facebook too! Ther's a link to it right here on BMT. By the way,Double L is mr. facebook,he's all over it.
  21. I asked him if he had a pipeline to his house from the mtn. dew plant and he said no,he had a bulk tank of it on his roof.
  22. There's a couple of places in Va.that I know of that pay top dollar for old lumber like that. You probably couldn't get much for it now though.
