there's fuel in it,but I don't think it's making the trip from the tank.I'm gonna put a new filter on it next, acts like the pump lost it's prime.

  2. I like collards, kale, mustard, and turnip greens-some people eat beet tops for greens, nocluejoe talked about polk salad-but still, nobody else ever had creeces?
  3. Hey James, happy birthday and happy new year! Bet you've heard of creeces,eh? I was just remembering last new years, had black eyed peas and creeces,or creecy greens as some people call them, but nobody else had ever even heard of them. I got black eyed peas with some smoked hog jowl in the crockpot now and a can of creeces. Not as good as cutting some yourself, but not bad either.
  4. Sorry, lost my head... Dozer
  5. yeah, mine's a 673. Don't know who posted the video, but I was proud to see myself in it!
  6. Got Freightrain and myself on this video-
  7. The truck I drive has a 550 Cat,and it's pretty much a pos in my opinion. It's too big for a paperweight but it would make a nice boat anchor.
  8. Found this early black and white picture of Rob's Chevrolet wrecker, circa 1958. Rob had just gotten out of the navy, where he had learned all about body repair. His job was fixing navy tanks when they got bent, so he decided to open a body shop when he got out. A wrecker was a must have so he took his savings and went to the local Chevy dealer and purchased this unit and made a wrecker out of it. This was his very first wrecker call, pulling a car carrier out of the ditch in the snow. It also started his desire to have a trailer...
  9. Due to the holidays, other dog's pictures are all reruns so special guest poster Marling Perkings has these photos for you...
  10. A generator is easy to rebuild too, though I haven't done it for years. Can you even get new brushes for them anymore?
  11. "alongside the road out of compliance"...unfortunately, that's the only time I ever get to meet them.
  12. D'oh!!! Good question,good question.
  13. This is true-like hatcity said,if they're clean and polished it's easy to keep them that way,but if they've never been polished or have had acid cleaner on them it's a lot more work. Most of the guys that I know use a "brick" of jewelers rouge like these and a cloth wheel on a grinder if they're in pretty bad shape. You can do them with the straps on or take them loose to do it easier and completely. This is just an example picture I found, but they sell these at most of the big truckstops. After this process the mothers, or a polish called "Zephyr" and a rag will keep them looking good with little trouble. I've seen guys make their own polish by melting the jewelers rouge and mixing it with mineral spirits or something and it worked very well, but I don't know the exact formula.

  16. Evidently she does -Congrats on your treasures! Post some pictures when she gets them installed on the truck. P.S. A lot of coal trains were delayed because of heavy snow in West Virginia.
  17. They even closed the Gladys airport for a while but I think it's open again now.
  18. No, it's todays snow. Geez, the things I must do to prove my sincerity around here! This was last year-see,totally different.
  19. It's a good looking truck. I never drove an MH or a Cruiseliner, but I just never liked the looks of the Cruiseliners.
