  1. just click on the picture for more exciting pictures.
  2. Sorry you're sick, I hope you're both feeling better soon.
  3. Yes indeed, that is a nice family friendly place. As a matter of fact, a couple with 2 boys who looked to be around 8 or 10 years old were sitting 2 booths down from us. You won't see anything there that you won't typically see every time you turn the TV on anyway.
  4. Gregg Hoffman was out there last week too, under dog on BMT. I stopped there and checked out the museum when I was still driving, and you're right, it's well worth the stop. Me and Zina have been talking about maybe driving out there to see it again sometime, she's never been. It's almost as good as the Keystone Museum, just not nearly as big.
  5. Probably, but I couldn't say for sure. I've been wanting to get back down there to look around. I haven't been since P.L. passed away. I know one thing, when I first posted a picture of that Conco the Tackaberrys from Canada contacted me right away, wanting to know who's it was, where it was, if it was for sale, the usual stuff, so I know they were highly interested in it.
  6. I went to Hooters once, it's almost as good as Twin Peaks.
  7. We're leaving tomorrow, headed back north. Zina had to come down and get her taxes done.
  8. Wow, that bull nose brought top dollar! I like that blue and white cabover, that went pretty reasonable.
  9. I took that picture myself, it's down at P.L. Duncan's in Cumberland county Va. That's a D860 GMC on the other side of it. The truck looked to be in roadworthy condition when I saw it, had a 290 Cummins and a 10 speed.
  10. It was her idea to stop, just because 1958FWD egged her on. I tagged myself there on Facebook as we were driving by. Of course he had to come back with the "pics or it didn't happen" post, so Zina said "we'll just show him!" I didn't even want to stop, I said "we don't have time, I've got to cut Vicki's grass". The grass never did get cut. I've got other things going on now- like chicken and ribs.
  11. I must say, That one in the middle was quite stunning.
  12. That's all I've got so far...yeah, we're in sunny Florida.
  13. What's that, the Brockway show?
  14. Yeah, no more than I drive the pickup I probably wouldn't even put tires on it. My Ranger pickup wouldn't pass inspection one time because of dry rot cracks that weren't near this bad. I just took it to another inspection station, and they passed it. But, we're thinking of moving back over to the Appomattox area to be nearer to family, and civilization in general. Heck, it's nearer to everywhere. Zina said we're not thinking, it's a done deal. So we're going to move to Appomattox. Anyhow, I wouldn't want to be driving up 501 with a mattress, coffee table, and TV on the back and suffer catastrophic tire failure, so I might just go get some tires on it. It's old enough that I could get antique tags for it, then you don't even have to have it inspected in Va. but I'm not going to go that route unless I have to.
  15. Back in my younger days people would have a party or cookout and order a keg sometimes. You had to order them in advance from the beer distributor and rent the tap too. Many folks have spent all evening and half the night trying to "float the keg", only to end up passed out on somebody's lawn. It seemed like the thing to do at the time, but they didn't realize just how much 15 1/2 gallons of beer really is. I've been called the day after such events before and heard "hey, Joe's got half a keg of beer left and he's got to have the keg back by tomorrow, come on over!". I tried to do my part to help out. I knew a guy who had a refrigerator in his basement and kept a pony keg in it. He had the tap mounted on the side and could just grab a red Solo cup and have a cold draft beer whenever he wanted, that was pretty neat.
  16. If you're going to do all that, I'm coming down there too. Winston-Salem's not far from here.
  17. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid02sNNrWf1KwSbPmoguDz53UznVfHFgSQRAgjiER3bK4Avo7N1hVTPASeayvYjHMaQ3l&id=100003315522508&mibextid=Nif5oz I don't know if this link will work or not, I can't work this phone as good as I can the computer, but somebody made a little video of a bunch of nice looking F models. This one that I used to drive was in it- There was several there that I recognized, Underdog's 2 F models were in there too.
  18. A year ago today I planted some potatoes and onions, then had a big red beer. This year I haven't planted anything. I might have a big red beer later though.
  19. This is liquid smoke- There's different brands, this is just what I happen to have. I couldn't even taste 2 tablespoons, or 3 tablespoons in the vinegar, so I just poured a whole bottle in. And he said "Texas Pete" meaning hot sauce. It's probably the most popular hot sauce around here, more than Frank's or Tabasco. I didn't know there was any other kind of hot sauce the whole time I was growing up. Any kind of hot sauce you prefer would be fine for this sauce.
  20. well whaddya know- I knew i'd run across it some day when I wasn't looking for it.
  21. Very colorful- if only the jacket was bright red, now that would be the cat's ass!
  22. Great, that's probably more accurate than my count. I can only count to 29, then I have to start over.
  23. This is the most snow we've had all winter. I guess I shouldn't complain, I'm not a big fan of snow and ice but I do like it cold in winter. If it was colder maybe the flies, ticks, and mosquitoes wouldn't be as bad in summer. Ticks were bad last summer- bad. The dog had 29 snow flakes on her back. Nothing to see here...
