I haven't been broke down either, just been on the road since last Wednesday. Went to Fort Worth, then to Reading,Pa, Washington D.C, Greenville,S.C, then Richmond. Truck is here- engine light's on again, this time it's "intake valve actuator oil pressure voltage" fault...whatever the hell that means.

That's what I use mine for. It does take pictures though, and I can send them to another phone or even e-mail them, so that comes in handy sometimes-I can take a picture and e-mail it to headquarters if I need to. It's a Kyocera phone and it might even do lots of other things, but all I know how to do is call people and take pictures with it. I have the U.S. Cellular nationwide plan and i'm well satisfied with the service.

I saw a huge snapping turtle somewhere along the way to Fort Worth, right beside the interstate. Could've stopped and got it if i'd seen it in time. It was one of the biggest i've ever seen, bigger than the steering wheel on the truck. I've caught some big ones on a trot line,too big to fit in a five gallon bucket.

I tried that once. The stick wasn't bad, but part of the hoe was kind of tough.

I should go back to bed, but this stuff is too funny!

lower light is on the cruise control switch, I had it on so I could idle it up some. It was about 30 degrees and snowing. No,that light's green...I don't know, i'll have to investigate further.

Saw this old Allis Chalmers pull type combine in Rustburg Sunday. I told Jo I hoped it wasn't on the way to the scrapyard, but they turned into a driveway. They'll probably restore it and be combining wheat with it behind a WD-45 by the fourth of July. Dashboard at night-that's just cool,eh? Rt. 20A in N.Y. One of 3 runaway ramps on Fancy Gap mountain.

Well, he said it was a warning-he didn't write me a speeding ticket, maybe because my logbook was current and all my paperwork was in order. The logbook and medical card were the first things he asked for! He did however give me a DOT paper like they give you when they do an inspection, for our safety man to sign and send a copy back, which will go against the company safety rating.

I've seen them down through there from time to time but so far they haven't bothered me. I used to prefer rt. 2 all the way from Wheeling, but since 7 is 4 lanes now almost to Powhatan Point I go that way. The Pa. DOT lit me up in Williamsport yesterday. I was doing 46 in a 35,just starting up the mountain on 15 after you cross the river and get out of town. I was doing 46, but 4 4 wheelers had just passed me like they were shot out of a cannon and he never payed any attention to them, but pulled me over.

yeah, it's a tough job. there's lots of things you have to deal with that nobody realizes. Like this-

I run down rt.7 on the Ohio side, then cross over to rt.2 at St. Marys. You can see part of the bridge beyond the Superliner dump. There's a few little towns and stop lights but for the most part rt.7 is good running.

finally, after nearly a week of nonstop work without food or rest, they make a breakthrough at the BMT control center... The head of the "getting folks back on BMT when there's a malfunction" department is not pleased with the situation. Meanwhile, Spot has other priorities...

Have you ever tried my bbq sauce on a pork roast? It's pretty good too, and cheap to make a gallon. A gallon lasts a long time too. I've posted it several times here before. It was given to me by someone else but I changed it to my liking. I've got almost 2 gallons of it now. I like to smoke a boston butt or pork loin and I usually make pulled pork bbq from the boston butt or chopped bbq from the loins. I take a gallon jug of vinegar, pour some out into another container, and add a bottle of liquid smoke,a bottle of worcestershire sauce, about half a bottle of garlic powder, some black pepper, some crushed red pepper, and some hot sauce. The original recipe called for a spoon full of everything and it tasted like vinegar so I started adding a whole bottle of everything- hard to make a whole gallon of vinegar taste like anything but vinegar, but this is really good on bbq'd pork. It makes a good marinade too. Here's how you do it- make your barbecue. pour some sauce on it. call me when it's ready.
