  2. I believe it's in Birmingham,AL...yeah, pretty sure it's Birmingham.
  3. I guess real Texas chili doesn't have beans or ground beast in it,eh?
  4. I started chopping onions about 5:30 this morning...chili in the making!
  5. Any other time we'd probably cross paths somewhere- but i'll be headed south to Mississippi Monday.
  6. hmmmm...dirt and grit? I might be in trouble, I have to shovel my floorboard out periodically because it gets so dirty.
  7. Yes, I live near Gladys, about 25 miles from Madison Heights. Jo said he was "eccentric", but whenever I went to an antique truck show he always liked to see the pictures. He let me take pictures and showed me all of his trucks and told me their story, I thought he was real nice. I saw in Wheels of Time where he's joined the ATHS now. His name is Robert W. Harris. The no. is 434-847-7564, but Jo said the last time she tried to call him she got the "disconnected or no longer in service" recording, so I don't know. Can't find Harris Construction in the yellow pages-maybe he retired. I tried the no. and got "not in service" too. If I get a chance i'll ride by and see what I can see if you want me to.
  8. Probably, it didn't look like it was going anywhere. But he had to move or get rid of some of his stuff because his neighbors complained about the "junk yard". I took the pictures about 4 or 5 years ago. His name is Bobby Harris and he owns a construction company. Here's the 2 pictures I have. Didn't get real close because of the brush.
  9. There's a man in Madison Heights that lives behind where Jo used to live who has an old Brockway parked in the woods with a V12 Detroit in it. He was her landlord as a matter of fact, and had a lot of old trucks in the woods, including a V8 R-model. I took pictures of most of them with my old 35mm camera, but my scanner doesn't work so I can't post them unless I take a picture of the picture with my other camera.
  10. Sure sounds like fun! I'm going to Iuka, Ms. Monday. Gotta go to a wedding today, tomorrow a memorial ceremony at Appomattox high school.
  11. I live in Va, but that's about my least favorite part of the country to be in. Nothing much happening 'round here, Rob's been maintaining a very low profile lately, as we look to him for leadership, guidance, and entertainment.
  12. looks a lot like the ones I saw at the port in Seattle.
  13. Randy found this Western Star dump truck...he could move a lot of dirt in a day with this monster!..no way he could give up his Mack though...could he? http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=2046327
  14. This is the female type reporter person that said the N.Y. Jets players made inappropiate comments to her. I just looked at google images of her.
  15. ...going to an antique truck show might! I saw all this at one... babe pictures by Mark (Vision 386),provider of lots of babe pictures.
  16. can't have too many boxes in my opinion! I just have one, between the axles on the passenger side. Keep my beveled wood and coil racks in it, but I could use a couple more, then I wouldn't have to stash so much crap on the truck. I remember when you used to go anywhere to load steel and they supplied all the dunnage you needed-not anymore! If you ain't got it you gotta buy it, or you're s.o.l. That's why I weigh over 32,000 full of fuel, all the stuff you gotta have.
  17. i'm tired of turning my monitor on it's side. nice looking trailer too, I like all the tool boxes!
  18. that's a good ideer-my melon ended up falling off. I didn't plant that watermelon anyway,it came up volunteer-must have been seeds in the compost pile.unfortunately, there's no bras big enough around here to-owh!! better put some ice on this black eye...
  19. Today's pictures of the week part 2- Here's that black Superliner in Appomattox. Too bad it's a crappy blurry drive-by. Saw this neat looking old unit in Ohio, near Fremont. And I saw a 3 legged jogger in New York, Saw a colorful KW in Fostoria, Oh. when I was picking up a load of fertilizer, I gave this Autocar a pull at this fuel stop when it wouldn't start. ...and unlike last week when I got to the shop and saw a Superliner, this week I got to the shop and saw this sitting there...wtf?
