  1. Everybody around here gets hoses made at Ferbee Johnson co. They made an obsolete hose for the mixer for me once. Can't find their yellow page ad, but their no. is 434-847-6651.
  2. Looking at my 175 pictures on the big screen (computer). Not bad puppies here- but this was the best looking dog I saw! And no, I was not stalking her. I'll be putting more on webshots or photobucket,i'll post a link when I get them done. Great show by the way!
  3. I was at Brad Wike's farm from 11:15 until about 1:30...no sign of Mike.

  4. Be looking for this tomorrow-that would be me. I'll have an elf with me too.
  5. oh...the Thermo King unit must have been too expensive.
  6. wow!..I got a helluva deal! Only thing I don't like about it is that it was made in China-but what'cha gonna do?..good song by the way-Pablo Cruise.
  7. thanks Speed!
  8. yeah,I took them outside so the flash wouldn't go off,but still deleted about 10 before I got tired of fooling with it and got one I could use!
  9. actually,that's my step daughter-now married with 3 children.
  10. ...and was about 50 lbs. lighter... and what's left of my hair is now white.
  11. I had a lime green jumpsuit, but sold it a yard sale in 1988. Got $10 for it though, more than enough for 2 cases of Ballentine at the time.
  12. I was looking through many photo albums for a picture a while ago and found these of some motorcycles I used to have. I'd had a couple of Hondas,a 360 and a 500, and sold the 500 and bought the red 750 Kawasaki. I later traded it in on the black 1000 Kawasaki. It was an '80 or '81 model, and it was also like riding a small rocket! That was my gold colored '70 model Buick Skylark in the one picture too. But I noticed the boots I was wearing in the other picture, which was taken around '84 or '85. I still have those boots and they still fit like a glove. Bought them at the 76 Truckstop in Elkton,Md. because I liked the looks of them. They are Texas brand, made in the USA,and I believe I paid $39.95 for them. Only thing wrong with them is scratches where the cat used them for a scratching post one time. This is what they look like today. The bike pictures suck because my scanner quit working and it's hard to take a picture of a picture without getting a glare or something.
  13. I'm home now. Long Island's only about 6 or 8 miles frm here. Took the truck to Concord, now i'm officially on vacation! I'm gonna make more hot sauce, but don't have many peppers this year. There will be a higher ratio of habeneros though,so it'll probably be hotter.I'm just gonna mix them, habeneros, jalapenos, tabascos, cayenne, and a few hot cherry peppers.Got one plant of each.
  14. Saw this at Long Island Lumber, Long Island,Va.
  15. I hauled some structural steel to Worcester in the 80's. Way better than having to go into Boston. We hauled so much steel to Boston-downtown and all around-that I hope I never have to go back. I'm too old to deal with all the traffic and assholish drivers there now-too much job related stress ya know.
  16. Got to unload in Long Island this morning, then vacation next week.Left the truck in Long Island last night.

  17. well said. that's the liberals way, "share the wealth" instead of working hard for what you get.
  18. nah,I just shop at the one near here a lot. found a good shoe last time, hope to find the other one later.
  19. nah,I don't drink or drive. I had to walk 2 miles to the dumpster to get these props to set this picture up.
  20. Saw another of our drivers at the shop yesterday. He had mentioned to me before that he had a Mack jacket that I might want. I didn't know if he was going to give it to me,wanted to sell it,or what the deal was. His son had given it to him,and Mack had given it to his son because he used to be a Mack salesman. Anyway,he said he'd had it a year or two but had never worn it and probably never would. He got it out of his truck and said "make me an offer". I said "I cain't,that's a nice jacket and I might make too low an offer and offend you-might be worth 2 or 3 hundred dollars, and I ain't got that kind of money". So he said "how about 25 dollars?" "Deal!" I still owe him 5 on it,but I think I did very well. It's 100% leather, with "MACK" embossed on it and bulldogs in the lining and on the zipper thingamabob. All I need now is a big black and chrome Yamaha.
  21. I don't know about all that,but I like the genious part.

    Dammit:

sounds more like you were reading in the stall at some truckstop. here's another one- here I sit with a broken heart, took two pills and my truck won't start. Just to show that i'm a true trucker, i'll take two more and push that f*#@er!
  23. uh-oh!..wonder where that leaves me?
  24. I was talking to a Jordan Carriers driver when I was loading beams in Blytheville,Arkansas. He lived in Mississippi and used to drive for TMC. He was like myself, knew nothing about chaining up. Said the only time he ever used them was to get across Cabbage mtn. in Oregon, just so he wouldn't have to set for several hours. When he got across to the unchain area he had lost one set entirely, broken another one, plus damaged both quarter fenders and tore the light bar off the back of the truck...maybe hearing all that scared me! I was coming back from Chillicothe,Ohio once with an empty log trailer and got stuck on ice on rt.60 in West Virginia. I was sitting on a hill (of course) before you go down the mountain into Rainelle.Couldn't move.So slick when I got out I almost slid up under the fuel tank. After a while a state dump truck came by salting the road-first vehicle i'd seen. He passed and said on the cb-"you stuck?" ""uh...yeah,i'm kinda is" "arrrright then,i'll back down in front of you and dump some salt" He started to back down the hill to me and started sliding immediately. He said "whoa, that's slick ain't it?!! I'd better put my chains on". "yeah, pretty slick,or I wouldn't be sitting here looking stupid". I figured i'd give him a hand with the chains but by the time I got my coat on and got out he was done and I followed him off the mountain.
