  1. Hey, how come sheriff other dog don't get to pack heat like Randy does? He looks pretty stout though, probably don't need to be packing any heat.
  2. I'm sure I could gussy it up like your other one. Oh, I just happen to still have it here...
  3. Jeff said the owner of Abilene trucking bought a couple of those trucks but I don't know which ones. They sold several old Autocars too, unrestored. I didn't know that the Peterbilt salesman that comes by the shop a lot was the Abilene owner's brother until Jeff Moore told me. He said they had an antique truck museum in Colonial Heights at exit 52 on 95 too, but I didn't see anything about it on Abilene's website. Found the website for the museum- looks like mostly tractors, but a few trucks too. I see they have Gary Barr's Diamond T there too. I wondered what happened to it when Gary passed away. http://www.keystonetractorworks.com/
  4. I must agree whole heartedly, that Rob does indeed need this truck. He does.
  5. Saw this 3000 White sitting just east of Appomattox on rt. 460 at Wayne Moore's shop. I saw it last Sunday and was going to drive down there today and take some pictures, but it would have been dark by the time I got there, so I just got a drive by picture when I went by on the way back to Concord. Didn't I see this truck on here a while back, or a link to e-bay or something? Seems to me it said the truck was in Appomattox and the seller was in Maryland or somewhere. Know I saw it somewhere before. Also, I finally remembered to bring the auction brochure from the L&H Trucking sale. Sale was Nov. 18, but here's some bad pictures of some of the antique trucks they sold. And I should throw this picture in,because it's just a great picture,eh?
  6. Wow, that "buzzin' dozen" sounds bitchin!
  7. I'll throw my chains and binders and a few gallons of oil (got a Detroit ya know) in the passenger side floorboard, the rest of my stuff i'll have to carry on the trailer. Gotta get a headache rack on it too, I can store some stuff there.
  8. I hope the DVD will be available by Christmas!
  9. Yeah, that wind was something on Monday around here. Thought it was gonna blow me off the road a couple of times on the way to Orchard Park-with a flatbed! Went through a couple of whiteouts from snow blowing across the road so hard I couldn't tell if I was still on the road or out in a cornfield. You should tell Dozer to cut back on those late nights at the bar. He might be wearing a disguise, but I know it's him.
  10. I went back to the historical archives down at the courthouse and found a picture of his first one-
  11. ...hmmmm, haven't played "fix that post" for a while- Wow,I can see why. Expensive poles in Illinois, must be mahogany or teak.
  12. Left Monday going to Orchard Park,N.Y. Took a few pictures on rt. 219,except the last one was I-79 south of Erie. the R-model was in Monongahela,Pa. where I reloaded.
  13. I'm just waiting for him to do something...
  14. Snowing here-calling for 3-5 inches,then freezing rain later...wonderful.

  17. good googly-moogly! I'd be happy with just one...preferably the brunette kneeling on the left, but any one would do.
  18. dammit!..I hate when that happens! Just when it was gettin' to the good part! What a cliffhanger!
  19. I know Jeff Moore. He owns the truck I drive.Never knew he owned a baseball team though. He was only 16 or 17 years old in '78.
  20. Oh...I guess I don't remember that-the left lane was the Monfort lane. I did find these pictures, and the article was in this issue of "Old Time Trucks". Sorry for the crappy pictures but my scanner doesn't work.
  21. They called them "The Left Lane Carrier" or "Left Lane Co." or left lane something,I do remember that.
