  1. how come this f$%#in' link worked a while ago and doesn't now?!! Can anybody else see pictures,or just a Kodak page?
  2. Went to Rustburg a while ago to get some "Bone Sucking Sauce" at Long Mountain Grocery. Only place around that has it. Lost a million dollars though, because I bet Jo a million that they'd be closed on Sunday. Took a picture of this Triumph while I was there, as i've always thought it was a great looking bike. I wish i'd gotten a picture of what we saw coming north on 501 as we were coming home though-a Marmon motor home! Kinda like the R-model,but it was a Marmon, kind of rare to see anymore in itself, much less a motorhome. Even had a 4-wheeler behing it on a tow bar.

    Bats

I hear bats are disappearing, and no one knows why. Kinda like honey bees. I know I don't see near as many as when I was a kid, when we'd stand in the driveway at night and throw gravel in the air to watch them dive for it.
  4. couldn't say...but here's a closer look.
  5. I also bought these items.
  6. rest of the pictures are here- http://community.webshots.com/album/578301593qEKAFT
  7. Of course we saw a few trucks. Not too many that I hadn't seen before, but it was still a good time. That B and R-model were still sitting on that trailer on 158 too. Was gonna stop a get a picture on the way home but it was raining hard then.
  8. We got there a little after 11 and left about 1:30 or so. Hate to have missed you, I was hoping you'd call. I was wearing a straw hat with Dale Earnhardt on it and a bigmacktrucks.com T-shirt. I asked Jo if she wanted to walk around one more time before we left but she said she was tired of walking.
  9. yeah, that's Burt. This is the Smokey and the Bandit KW, Trans Am, and sheriff's car that Buford clipped the top off of.
  10. Everybody around here gets hoses made at Ferbee Johnson co. They made an obsolete hose for the mixer for me once. Can't find their yellow page ad, but their no. is 434-847-6651.
  11. Looking at my 175 pictures on the big screen (computer). Not bad puppies here- but this was the best looking dog I saw! And no, I was not stalking her. I'll be putting more on webshots or photobucket,i'll post a link when I get them done. Great show by the way!
  12. I was at Brad Wike's farm from 11:15 until about 1:30...no sign of Mike.

  13. Be looking for this tomorrow-that would be me. I'll have an elf with me too.
  14. oh...the Thermo King unit must have been too expensive.
  15. wow!..I got a helluva deal! Only thing I don't like about it is that it was made in China-but what'cha gonna do?..good song by the way-Pablo Cruise.
  16. thanks Speed!
  17. yeah,I took them outside so the flash wouldn't go off,but still deleted about 10 before I got tired of fooling with it and got one I could use!
  18. actually,that's my step daughter-now married with 3 children.
  19. ...and was about 50 lbs. lighter... and what's left of my hair is now white.
  20. I had a lime green jumpsuit, but sold it a yard sale in 1988. Got $10 for it though, more than enough for 2 cases of Ballentine at the time.
  21. I was looking through many photo albums for a picture a while ago and found these of some motorcycles I used to have. I'd had a couple of Hondas,a 360 and a 500, and sold the 500 and bought the red 750 Kawasaki. I later traded it in on the black 1000 Kawasaki. It was an '80 or '81 model, and it was also like riding a small rocket! That was my gold colored '70 model Buick Skylark in the one picture too. But I noticed the boots I was wearing in the other picture, which was taken around '84 or '85. I still have those boots and they still fit like a glove. Bought them at the 76 Truckstop in Elkton,Md. because I liked the looks of them. They are Texas brand, made in the USA,and I believe I paid $39.95 for them. Only thing wrong with them is scratches where the cat used them for a scratching post one time. This is what they look like today. The bike pictures suck because my scanner quit working and it's hard to take a picture of a picture without getting a glare or something.
  22. I'm home now. Long Island's only about 6 or 8 miles frm here. Took the truck to Concord, now i'm officially on vacation! I'm gonna make more hot sauce, but don't have many peppers this year. There will be a higher ratio of habeneros though,so it'll probably be hotter.I'm just gonna mix them, habeneros, jalapenos, tabascos, cayenne, and a few hot cherry peppers.Got one plant of each.
  23. Saw this at Long Island Lumber, Long Island,Va.
  24. I hauled some structural steel to Worcester in the 80's. Way better than having to go into Boston. We hauled so much steel to Boston-downtown and all around-that I hope I never have to go back. I'm too old to deal with all the traffic and assholish drivers there now-too much job related stress ya know.
