    Oil Leak

I'm still running good, busy as the proverbial one legged man in an ass kicking contest. I took treated lumber to Shinnston,W.V. and loaded 2 coils in Yorkville,Oh. going to Clinton,N.C. Then to Dillwyn and onward to Fremont,Ohio. Loaded some Mack truck frame coils in Erie,Mi. going to Roanoke, then I had to leave Friday going to the nucular (George Bush) power plant in Oak Harbor,Ohio to deliver yesterday morning. They serviced the truck and finally put a new fan hub on it before I left. The oil plug stripped the threads out of the oil pan when they took it out, so they put it back in and welded it. It was still dripping oil though, so they put some silicone on it. It was still dripping oil though, so I took an extra gallon with me (already had 2 gallons) and stopped and bought a gallon of Lucas Oil Stabilizer at $32. Didn't need any of it though, it looked worse than it actually was because by the time I got back to Lynchburg it still wasn't halfway down to the "add" line. I left it at the Cat place with a cut out grape juice bottle under it for a drip pan so they can take the pan off tomorrow and put an insert in it and fix it right.
  2. Hi there Daniel, I agree about that V8 Mack sound!
  3. DoubleL's ad
  4. Yep, I went back and looked at it in the Showtime magazine. Didn't remember seeing it before, but there it was. I see they've got an ATHS show in Knoxville April 9th. and 10th. I better tell nocluejoe so he can go and take some pictures for us. One in Cookeville in Sep. too.
  5. yeah, I can imagine-everything else has.
  6. Got the new one this week, lots of good stuff in it! Thought i'd pass these along in case you don't get it. Like one of the prettiest B-53S's i've ever seen-they're going to auction it off at the national ATHS convention, along with lots of other old trucks. And a Watt's Mack ad. Oh, and Double L's having an antique truck show too.

  17. Hi Paul...thought you were shunning us since you've been maintaining such a low profile lately
  18. something like this probably.
  19. When nocluejoe and myself visited him last summer he kinda talked like everything was for sale. He has an astonishing collection of old trucks-well over a hundred, and most of them run. Real nice man too, you should give him a call. If you want to go visit, let me know-i'll go with you. I missed getting a picture of the EHU when I was there. I think some are in my gallery, if I didn't delete them. This is Joe, hanging off the side of a 2 story IH. First one of them i'd seen, except in pictures-and he has one.( the 2 story IH that is, not a nocluejoe )
  20. Oh...sorry. P.L.Duncan's.
  21. I had that all wrong. I thought it was "stop a quarter of a turn BEFORE you wring it off".
  22. could be, there's some very smart people in Farminton, Il. Well, at least one-i'm not sure about the rest of 'em.
  23. this was the coiled plastic air line going to the gladhand. I could have taped the first one and made it until I got the new one-until I cut it that is. The other one I put on was leaking under the metal spring that goes over it on each end. I guess that's to keep them from breaking. They are very easy to break, especially when it's cold. The old rubber hoses never broke, I guess that's why they did away with them.
  24. here's an old one parked, a restored one, and mine.
