  1. That's great, sounds like it's all coming together nicely for you. Speaking of sound, them ol' 220's don't have much power but they sure did sound good passing by. I thought so anyway. I haven't heard one for years.
  2. Indeed it is, went back and took a closer look and you are correct.
  3. corrected version
  4. good thinkin' there
  5. here's the 4th. of July babe-
  6. Great pictures, thanks for posting. If that's at the fairgrounds on rt. 422 near Butler, I stop at the Fairgrounds Market across the street a lot- they have good food & sandwiches at the store.
  7. I used to stop in S.C. and Tn. and get some every year.I lived by a big field in Appomattox, now i've got woods all around and it's gotten pretty dry too-wouldn't wanna set the woods on fire!
  8. yeah, 3 props.-oughta tote tha' mail!
  9. You stole my thunder! I was gonna say "well said James!". Would you believe I tried to call both of you, but I lost my signal...tried again, but an ostrich ran by and snatched my phone outa my hand.
  10. I hope everybody has a safe and healthy 4th. of July holiday weekend. I called my son this morning, a friend, and my daughter, to see if they wanted to come over for some barbecued chicken and ribs. My son Morgan called back and said he couln't make it-didn't hear from anyone else...wish I lived closer to Rob and Joe and James and Larry, and Darrell, and Daryl, they'd probably come over for chicken & ribs. Damn, I cook so bad I can't give it away...crap!
  11. Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, David Carradine, Ed McMahon, Karl Malden, Steve Mcnair, Billy Mays,..kinda glad i'm not famous!
  12. looks like a fine job of grading and putting that culvert in-outstanding!..but what's in that field, wheat? Don't let them folks park in that field and tear it up! And I've driven many Internationals, a couple of CO4070A Transtars , couple of 9400's, a 9900i, a 9900ix, and I liked them all...am I gittin' old, or what's goin' on? -pretty soon i'll be as old as Rob...gee! BTW, I can't get the video to work.
  13. I'm done for the week, actually got in Thursday night. I went to Baltimore with 60' beams Wednesday night and loaded at Sparrows Point Thursday. Left at 2 o'clock and got to Lynchburg at 8:00. Usually takes a little over 4 hours, but the traffic was terrible. I even washed the truck when I got home. I sent Kelsey some pictures of it in case she wants to put them on the new FLM website, www.flmoore.com . Got a few pictures, some from last week. B-model Mack wrecker on rt. 422 in Pa. ...I think I saw nocluejoe on the capital beltway Thursday that's some traffic there,eh? rabbits in the front yard-at least they weren't in the garden! nice looking mixer coal pile in Newport News a big blue ape in Tn. dinosaur in Tn. boat on I-40 just east of Knoxville-looks like it'll get you to the fishin' hole in a hurry!
  14. From an article in "Old Time Trucks", a great antique truck magazine.
  15. I was looking at that site, very informative. Some people used pine nuts, some walnuts, and one person said smoked almonds. I like me some smoked almonds now! Gonna keep this truck related, so the site police don't git us...
  16. I ain't braggin'-but I got the fixin's- tomatoes, onion, peppers, garlic, herbs, corn, green beans, cukes, squash, cole slaw (cabbage, just needs processing)- and there ain't much I cain't grill! I didn't plant any potato salad though...but I did plant some okra. Oh, 20'' wheels-I need some too. I can get plenty for $40 apiece. I'm holding out for free ones, but I might have to buy 'em.
  17. what are pine nuts? I've heard of them on the food channel (yeah, I watch it a lot) but never seen them. Where do you find pine nuts, on a male pine tree? Are the walnuts just as good?
  18. ...sorry 'bout that but hey, with a pound of ham and a jar of mayonaise that little tomato will still be good
  19. My basil is looking good too-most of my other herbs appear to be dying. I'm still not sure what to do with it though.
  20. you're talking deluxe tomato sandwich now! This is the actual size of the tomato-figured I should come clean, before Paul starts calling wanting to know what kind of fertilizer I used.
  21. yep, one slice of that 'mater, one loaf of bread, and a jar of mayo is all we need. where can I find a knife big enough to slice it though?..might have to use the ol' 925 Homelite.
  22. it's actually called a "mr. stripey", kind of a red and yellow mix. Had one early girl plant, but these got ripe first. oh, keepin' it truck oriented...
  23. too late- shoulda done it last week- I hit a deer and broke a hood hinge, and I gotta take it to Cat Monday morning because the engine light is on again, showing an intake valve actuator fault code...again.
  24. picked my first tomatoes yesterday-(note:photo may have been altered to provide more substance)
  25. I'm gonna try that...
