no,not on medication.all i'd eaten all day was about 4 cups of coffee, but I don't know if that would affect it. It's never been that high before.Or maybe all the young nurses running around had me excited,I don't know.
  3. really! I'm going back to the beginning-there is no answer

thank you,I do too, and hope all is well with your wife.
  5. you may be right-i'm going back to work
  6. agreed-but still, a dollar back each- $9 paid 3 times is $27 plus the $2 the clerk kept- it should come out to the same, but it doesn't
  7. I think she's slow so even a dumbass like me can follow, but I still haven't quite gotten it yet. I've watched this girl fold a shirt many times, but I can't do it-I just ball 'em up and throw 'em in the bag! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_Xb7PTj1EQ

my bp was 152 over 85-highest it's ever been, but the doctor didn't seem to be concerned. the cutoff is 160 over 90.
  9. I think he needs to stay at a Holiday Inn Express to figure this out.
  10. sign spotted on lightpole last spring near Farmington,Il.
  11. but still-if they paid 10 each, then got a dollar each back they paid 9 instead of 10...and 5 dollars back from the original 30 is 25-it just does not compute (the robot-lost in space)
  12. I first heard this question years ago, and no one knows the answer- 3 men are traveling in a blizzard and stop at a motel in a small town somewhere near Peoria,Il. There's only one room left so they share it. The clerk tells them the room is $30 so they each pay $10. When the manager comes in later he tells the clerk he overcharged the men, the room was only $25. He gives the clerk $5 and tells him to take it back to them. The clerk figures you can't divide $5 three ways, so he puts $2 in his pocket and gives the men back a dollar each. Now, if they each got a dollar back that means they paid $9 each instead of $10. And 9x3 is 27, the $2 the clerk kept makes 29...so what happened to the other dollar?
  13. close enough, it was actually 8:02 because the bus driver had to stop briefly for a cow standing in the road.
  14. sounds like a great adventure! reminds me of when I was at Sierra Sid's truckstop in Reno in 1979. I hadn't been driving long and it was in April or May, warm enough that I was wearing a T-shirt. A driver parked next to me and we were talking and he told me you couldn't cross Donner Pass without chains. I was like ''what the heck are you talking about? what's Donner Pass? wtf are chains?''. I knew what chains were of course, but around here any snow is long gone by that late in the year, and it was so warm there in Reno it made no sense to me. That was my first experience with the high elevation.
  15. I've got to leave Sunday for Midland City, Al. It's near Dothan. My DOT physical also expires Sunday, so I went to renew it today. Somehow I managed to pass it again, so i'm good for 2 more years. The young girl who took my blood pressure said "now we have to wait 'til we get a room". Meaning an examination room for the doctor of course. So I said ''get a room?!! but we just met, shouldn't we at least go to dinner first?''...yeah, I know-that's the same thing she thought. That's about as funny as a screen door in a submarine. I must be off.
  16. yeah, yeah, that's the same thing I said, only different. Now, if one train leaves St. Louis headed west at 4:15, and another train leaves Denver at 4:30 headed east, what time does the 8 o'clock bus get to the station?
  17. I put 2 of them on mine too,I always leave them turned off when it's setting.
  18. great pictures!
  19. since Rob's not here,i'll take a stab at it-run to the hardware store across the street and grab some bolt cutters and cut the cable as far from the battery as possible. In an emergency you can saw through a battery cable pretty quick with a hack saw. No hardware store across the street? I don't know...run like hell?
  20. Nice! I like that ''Underdog'' wrecker.
  21. I'm still not sure if I can change a tire,i'll have to watch 40 or 50 more times 'til I get the hang of it
  22. is that happier than a monkey on a banana boat,or about the same?
  23. that is so true. that's why I told Beyonce to get lost. She was pretty distraught about it at first, but seems to be doing fairly well now. I think she's finally over me
  24. most kids grow out of that by the time they're 3 or 4 years old, and can't do it anymore-no wonder Rob's so happy!
