  1. OK,here's a few pictures from Troutman-an Emeryville for you Joe, a b-67, a c- model, and a sharp B-61...OK, another Emeryville too. Also found a nice belt buckle, looks like the front of a b-model. I made a new photo album with all the Mack trucks at the show,it's posted in my gallery.

    Truck Shows

I'm back, had a great day! Took over a hundred pictures! Stopped by Food Lion in Altavista on the way home, got a couple of steaks and cooked them on the grill. Now I've got to figure out what to do with all those pictures...perhaps put them on a disc and send it to Barry? That's the easy way out, takes a long time to put them on webshots or flickr!
  3. Geez,Kelly,I am so sorry -I went to a truck show today and forgot all about you-you can come out now...just watch your mouth!
  4. uh...sorry Barry, they're so big I couldn't miss 'em-have her turn around and check the air in the tires!
  5. So,all that "try not to look suspicious" practice worked out for you,eh? (that's Canadian)
  6. Why am I up at 5:00am? Just can't sleep...except when i'm supposed to be working! I think if I had the walls and ceiling in the bedroom painted to look like the inside of a truck cab I could sleep fine. Might be the excitement-i'm planning on making the trip to Troutman,N.C. today to the ATHS show. Got my cameras ready! Speaking of shows,Truck Enterprises (the Kenworth dealership) in Lynchburg is having a big truck and bike show today. It's sponsored by channel 13,the local tv station and it's to benefit the red cross. I wasn't gonna take the mixer because it cost $50 to enter, but channel 13 has been running commercials for it all week and they showed pictures from the last show they had, for their grand opening, and they showed the mixer more than any other truck so I drove it up there Thursday morning before I left for Birmingham. As soon as I pulled in the the man that's running the show said "man,I was hoping you'd bring this truck back!". Nice to make such an impression with an old Mack, amongst all those new KW's and Volvos!
  7. my truck doesn't ride like it has a square wheel, feels more like i'm riding on 10 footballs.Got 2 bias ply on the steering ,8 recaps on the rear.I can get good used tires for free where I work,i'm just trying to find some wheels I can run the tubeless tires on for the same price
  8. kinda' reminds me of how I got interested in trucks, just watching them pass by on the highway when I was a kid...many,many years ago .Which reminds me-DADDYSLILGURL- go to your room, and don't come out 'til you're told to!..go on now, git!
  9. but what about her eyes? some things, there's no such thing as too big,but those eyes, they're way too big!
  10. Hey Joe,glad you got all that scraitened out (that's e-well,never mind ) Did you change your number-I tried to call you yesterday and today when I was going through Knoxville.Went to Birmingham yesterday with a load of pipes, deadheaded 3 miles and reloaded 3 coils.Left Birmingham at 10:30 this morning, got back to the south Lynchburg Truckstop at 8:30 tonight. And stopped at Bulls Gap and got fuel and 2 cheeseburgers and an order of fries(dollar menu!)
  11. As an ex Law Enforncement Officer "Rent-a-cop" I found that every dog has his day..lol...And that everyone has to take a break. Maybe you can hire him a sidekick, or some kind of alarm system for when he's "Off Duty". I say him and Jobyna sit in the bushes in camoflauge while your at work just trying to catch them waskally wabbits. Tell him to keep up the good work. actually,he already has a sidekick. As you can see in the latest picture he's not much of a go-getter either!
  12. duh,hi ya Joe
  13. DISASTER IN THE MARITIMES DID YOU EVER HAVE A BAD DAY AT THE OFFICE? Old Bill-Canadian trucking-check out thedieselgypsy-my photos. He's my truckin' hero...Paul VanScott runs a close second. I've read all of Old Bill's stories, and talk to him on Skype every weekend...all because I sent him an e-mail once and told him he was the greatest truck driver ever...which he is,in my opinion-Paul VanScott runs a close second. uh...I'm not tootin' my own whistle...or maybe I am-but he has a lot of my stuff on his site too!...oh,since you asked-all the truck show pictures from Winchester,Troutman,Greensboro,Truckers at Work-Tom Blackwell, guest photos-Tom Blacwell, and "How You Got Started in Trucking"-Tom Blackwell
  14. you may be right Paul, but Other Dog (the beagle) read this first, and it really hurt his feelings...he said he was on his break when the incriminating picture was taken, and now he's afraid his reputation may be permanently harmed...he may need therapy. He also stated that we hardly ever see a duck-billed platypuss or an armadillo in the garden, but he gets no credit for that...I apoligized to him for doubting his ability as a guard dog...when he wakes up i'm going to tell him what a fine job he's doing. I wouldn't trade him for a thousand of them pekanese or what ever-they-ares!
