  1. ok,I posted one from this summer when I dumped it after some rain.My camerawoman was a little tardy getting started though.
  2. Yeah, I did like Old Bill suggested and wrote all of mine down in a notebook.
  3. Big Jim Veitz's parents live in Punxatawney. We deliver lumber there pretty often. I'm not sure about the per-mile rates, but I can figure it out sorta close when my pickup gets back with my pay stub still laying in the seat. I get paid by percentage. If I have to load steel at Lackawanna, which I hate to do because the people are so hateful at the steel mill, I run 90 over to Rochester, then 390 down to Corning and run rt. 15 back down to Harrisburg. I like running 15 from Corning to Williamsport too. I've tried 20 and 20a across, but it's just as quick, maybe quicker, to take 90.
  4. nine years?!! she's probably forgotten about it by now,so it'll be a big surprise
  5. ya,I did the same thing before,or it was when I got the new PC or something, and had to rejoin.
  6. Thank you,and happy New Year!
  7. Hi Paul-Orchard Park is a regular run for us.We deliver kyanite to Boston Valley Terra Cotta. Big Jim goes there a lot because he lives in Reynoldsville,Pa. and he can go by the house. They recieve there until 10pm. It's a nice ride up 219.
  8. you're exactly right,as a matter of fact I called Jeff (Moore-he owns the truck I drive) from Orchard Park when I was getting unloaded Thursday morning .Him and his wife left Wednesday morning going to Florida and he said I-95 was a parking lot a lot of the way. They only made it to South Carolina somewhere before they stopped Wednesday night. Teresa said she figured I would just take the week off-I told her I would have, but I didn't want to hear Jeff woofing about it for a year.
  9. aw,shucks
  10. thanks scooter,I might try another one later and get it better, with no gear scraping and scratching, and no shaking.
  11. I posted a couple a couple of videos on youtube. They're not very good at all,but anyway...
  12. I'm back. Left the day after Christmas and went to Orchard Park,N.Y. (Buffalo area) and then to Boardman,Oh. to pick up three magnets and dropped them at the shop this morning. They said Wednesday they had a load going to Boca Raton,Florida. Long ways, but Florida ain't bad this time of year. But-Neal called back about 2 minutes later and said the Orchard Park was there at the yard, loaded on a side kit trailer, and I could get it and go,so that's what I did. So much for Florida. That's OK,I'd just as soon go to Buffalo anyway.

Thanks Barry,I might if I can figure out the proper category and how to do it...and i'm still afraid everybody will point and laugh at me -freighttrain's a hard act to follow! just kidding-I can edit youtube videos, but i'm too lazy,so it is what it is. Maybe i'll try to do a better one later. We were mainly just trying out the camera's video setting.

I put LED tail lights and marker lights on the rear, and they have to be hooked up backwards with positive ground systems.I couldn't figure out what to ground to get everything working- I ended up with tail lights and turn signals, but no brake lights,so I took the easy way out. I put a spring loaded toggle switch in an old CB antannae -that doesn't look right...anyhow, bracket.I wired the brake lights to the switch and mounted the bracket to the shift lever so I could reach it easily,so whenever I want brake lights I can just flip the switch either way with my finger without taking my hand off the lever, and when I let go it comes back to center by itself and they go off. I know it's not how it should be,but it works great!
  16. Now that's a good story!

I went ahead and posted another one. I didn't particularly like it,but it's out there now. It's so bad i'm already sorry I posted it,but I guess i'll leave it until I get one that's better. The video's bad, shifting is bad, driving bad-but it sounds good.

I don't really think so-I tried to post it like the other one,but it just wouldn't work. Might've been too long. So I thought i'd try it on youtube, and it worked. All you gotta do is click "upload video",or something like that, and that's it. It took me longer to figure out how to post the link to it actually.
  19. Hi!..so,they had lots of B-model mixers?
  20. Thank you Skip-thank you very much indeed, and merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and yours.

Well,I posted my first youtube video. Not much to it really, and kind of shaky-you know how a cement mixer rides! This was taken after I left the stoplight at Concord,Va. headed west on rt. 460,and passing by Litchford's garage. I'm only about a mile from the shop here.

    Pc Problems

Merry Christmas to you and yours also Paul, and thanks. Bill called me back and said the same thing you did. I shut everything down, cut the power off too, restarted, started defragmenting again, and when the disc anylization process finished it said it didn't need to defragment at this time. So it must have worked at first, but it just kept going, and going, and going...anyway,now I know who else to ask for computer advice.
  23. Well,I was gonna try another video, but the PC is still defragmenting. I think something's wrong-it said it could take from a few minutes to a few hours, but it ran all yesterday afternoon and all night so it should be done by now! I might call old Bill back. I thought my Norton 360 did it automatically,it's set to,but Bill said Norton was nothing but trouble, and there are better free programs available when the Norton expires. It was preloaded on my computer when I bought it. My skype and eyeball chat were both working slow yesterday, with about a 20 second delay,so he called on the phone and helped me with this defragmenting process. Found out it was last done in September. I might just need to shut down and restart, but I don't want to undo anything i've already done,so i'd better ask somebody that knows what's going on.

    Defraggin'

Oh yeah,it's got sound-that's the best part

    Defraggin'

Here's a picture of the Mack frame rail trailer at Metalsa in Roanoke, where we deliver coils to regularly.I've been running the disc defragmenter ever since about 11 am,and I might try another longer video if it ever finishes. It might work, since it downloaded this picture twice...stupid computers
