  1. Merry Christmas everyone.
  2. Here's 2 dogs-
  3. Not sure where the humor is here, but that is absolutely true Bob.
  4. Sounds just like trucking!
  5. The floor panels do look nice, I'm glad I ordered them instead of just patching it.
  6. Here's the latest update on the rust bucket, Timmy Jones, who works in the shop where I used to work, has been working on it in his spare time while I was in sunny Florida.
  7. It was jam-packed, despite the cold. Looked like a much larger turn out than last year. Vicki from Florida lives 15 minutes away in Deltona but from the time we got to the Daytona exit on 95 until we were inside the venue it took 2 hours.
  8. You're welcome. I posted them on Facebook and Fuzzy Buzzard said " nice pictures, but there's no wimmens". I told him it was too cold, there were no scantily clad wimmens there...well, maybe a few. But it was chilly in Florida last week, there was frost on Vicki from Florida's roof at least one morning. I almost wore a long sleeve shirt but didn't, which was good because it warms up quickly. But Zina from Gladys wore a jacket. Much colder than last year, I didn't even buy one of those $6 beers.
  9. Sounds a lot like the mark of the beast as told in the book of Revelation to me.
  10. I haven't seen too much lately, but I did go to the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona the day after Thanksgiving. There's some fine looking automobiles there, too much to see in one day. I heard there was a truck of some sort there with an R model cab on it, but I didn't see it. Just click on the picture to see the rest.
  11. latest update- I got an e-mail from Summit, they asked me if I wanted to cancel the order for the other floor repair panel, because now the estimated ship date for it would be sometime in February. I said yes, I do want to cancel that order. So I found a place in North Carolina that dealt in Ford restoration parts, ordered it from there, and it was on the porch in a couple of days.
  12. Yes, like I said they appear to be very well made and stout. I was expecting them to be flimsy but it's not at all. Still haven't gotten the other one yet. I ordered some cab mounts from J.C.Whitney for a 69 F100 one time, and they were just thin sheet metal, you could bend them with your hands.
  13. yeah, I hope so!
  14. That is a fine picture right there, hat's off to the photographer!
  15. The 302 in the red one ran good he said, it just needed transmission work, or maybe a transmission. But it's a 2 wheel drive, and a 4wd is what I wanted. It could be switched of course, but that's really getting into a lot of work. Besides, I have about $300,000 worth of new parts in the rust bucket now- tie rods, ball joints, u-joints, bearings, power steering parts, parking brakes...
  16. yes Bob, I still think a cab swap is too much for me to do, and I don't have anywhere to do it if I could, or anybody to help me. But I did find a good parts truck for $800. I was looking at used beds, because the one on the rust bucket is pretty rusty too, and used beds are as much as a cab. I can use the bed, seat, rear gas tank, tail gate, windshield wiper switch, and a mirror off of this one. And that's just the things that come to mind off the top of my head. Of course I don't have any hair left up there to hold anything in. This truck has a re-man 302 in it and it ran good. The owner parked it because the transmission was bad. I don't know what's wrong with it, he just said "the transmission blew up." I can probably sell the 302 pretty easy and get a few bucks. And when the bed is off we can get to the frame easy, and that rear gas tank too. I don't even know if I need to switch tanks, the guy I bought the rust bucket from said it leaked if you filled it up, so it might just need the rubber piece on the filler neck or something.
  17. This is very true. It was made in Taiwan. I ordered it from Summit Racing, and like I said it is a very stout piece. I didn't know Summit had stuff like that, but when I googled the repair panels they were one of the first places to come up. Only bad part is trhat I still haven't gotten the one for the driver side, and that side is the worst.
  18. This came from Taiwan.
  19. She might let you keep that. You stand a much better chance with that than zucchini girl anyway.
  20. Not to my knowledge, but I wouldn't have known him if I saw him. I didn't see anybody there that I knew, except Zina from Gladys. I was wearing my Big Mack Trucks T shirt too.
  21. One of the floor panels came yesterday. I was impressed, it looked good, not flimsy at all like I was expecting. This one is for the passenger side. I actually ordered them from Summit Racing. Now, the radiator support piece I need is $200 from the Bronco Graveyard place, but $95 at some other place. Cheapest is not always the best way to go, but neither is paying twice as much for something if it's of similar quality, so I'll look into that a little more.
  22. Somebody posted some pictures on Facebook, looks like there were more trucks there than there was at Colfax. I guess it's good to have more smaller local shows, but these two probably took some of each other's trucks because they're pretty close.
  23. Now you know Star wouldn't let you keep her, any more than Zina from Gladys let me keep the girl in the basket at the Winfall Piggly-Wiggly.
  24. Here's a link to the pictures I took in Colfax-
