  1. I bought a new CB radio when I got the last new truck- which is just like the old truck except it has 2 big stainless steel breathers outside of the hood. They are presumably there to create more wind resistance and to obstruct your vision. I'd been using a Road King radio that I bought at a Love's Truck stop because my old Connex needed some work. I've had the Connex since I drove the Peterbilt, many years ago...anyhow, it was too big to cram into the overhead CB putting spot so I bought a new Stryker radio that was smaller, it was made to cram into the CB putting place, and performed as good as the Connex- so they said. I really like the radio- it shows your SWR every time you key the mike. I shortened the antenna an eighth of an inch at a time until I got that 1.1. I didn't want to use the cheap fiberglass antennas with it that came on the truck, I wanted another Wilson 2000 like I had on the Pete. They were about $80 at truck stops, so I decided to check Amazon. $42. I ordered one, and don't feel bad one tiny little bit for ordering it online. I try to support local binnesses when I can, but no truck stop is out to do anybody any favors, they stick it to you at every opportunity.
  2. Evidently not.
  3. Who knows what the actual death toll is? Joe Diffie was the most famous person that I had heard of that had the corona virus and died. I didn't hear until the day before yesterday that he had been battling throat cancer, and had stage 4 lung cancer when he died. I just thought the virus had killed him, because the media never once reported the cancer part, not that I ever heard anyway.
  4. Happy birthday Bob! I've got the highly trained buffessional pastry chefs over at the Winfall Bakery making you a cake. I called a little while ago and they were decorating it, should be in the mail...sometime.
  5. Nailed it.
  6. I remember well that trip to Suffolk, Va. in the 70's. I went to the old Richmond Dragway about every weekend, but it was more of a local "run what ya' brung" track...which was fine. But Suffolk had NHRA National events there then. I remember being astonished to see a couple of Chevy II Novas turning 11 second times, both with 6 cylinder engines!
  7. I think you're right, Richard Rawlings would roll up and pay somebody 50 hundred dollar bills for the old POS rustbucket that's been sitting in the woods for 25 years, so now every POS rust bucket that's been sitting in the woods for 25 years must be worth 50 hundred dollar bills🤣
  8. Well said Bob, yes he does!
  9. Here's a cow-
  10. Thank you everybody for the birthday greetings, it's very much appreciated!
  11. Yeah, I was in Florida all right- I loaded a load of steel in Midlothian, Tx. on Wednesday that delivered in Lakeland, Fl. on Monday, so I got to spend the weekend in the truck at a Love's truck stop on I-4. She did come over there Saturday afternoon and brought me a bunch of stuff, but we followed the 6 feets rule. Couldn't go anywhere or do anything, but at least we got to see each other.
  12. you sure do use some big words there, very impressive- and thank you!
  13. Yes indeed, as their ads say, the view is one of their main selling points. https://twinpeaksrestaurant.com/
  14. Well, they're not useless all the time, and doctors might not be too busy all the time. Killing an innocent baby right up until birth, like Va. governor ralph northam is all for, is still just wrong, it is murder, it is wrong.
  15. Here's the link anyway- https://www.flickr.com/photos/28526133@N04/albums/72157713652139517
  16. A link to all the pictures I put on flickr opens when you click on the "fine ass in fishnets" picture.
  17. I went out to dinner with them later, we went to some place called Twin Peaks. That's me in the orange shirt, with the hostess at Twin Peaks. Zina from Florida asked her if she would take a picture with me and she said fine.
  18. It's not too late, if you do go, check out this place called Twin Peaks. It's pretty good.
  19. I saw a big Mack truck in McKees Rocks. I saw a girl in a car too, but even better than a girl in a car, I went to Florida and saw lots of bikes over at a place called The Cabbage Patch. We went there the last time I was there for bike week. I liked it better than Daytona myself. Daytona is just too crowded, and there's plenty to see and do at the Cabbage Patch. Lots of food, beer, bikes, babes, T shirts, etc. Here's some of the bikes I saw- everybody loves boobage, right? oh, almost forgot one- Big Mack truck for sale in Fredericksburg, Va. New red truck, same as the old red truck. There's more Florida and Bike Week pictures here-
  20. yes she is! Here's a picture I took of her at Daytona a while back- Small but feisty- she's about 5 feets tall...maybe.
  21. I don't think I could ever vote for a democrat , mainly because of of their abortion stance, it's just wrong, wrong, wrong. But, with that being said, Cuomo isn't nearly as far out there as most of those morons- like "the squad"- and does seem to have a good bit of common sense.
  22. Happy birthday!
