  1. Thank you Vlad.
  2. Well thank you very much for that info! It has a V6 in it,4 speed, and runs very good except for when it has those spells.
  3. They are indeed backwards, I didn't even notice it.
  4. It's a 91, from what I understand it's the first year of the computer and the throttle body injection that it has. Good looking little truck, but it will just quit at any given time, just like you cut the key off, then it'll come right back to life. Been doing it since I had it, you never know when it's going to do it. Might go weeks trouble free, or you might not get out of the drive way before it starts. I've replaced every sensor on it, some twice, still does it. I just got it from a shop in Concord a couple of weeks ago, the guy said he fooled with the timing some, and drove it a while and it never missed a beat, said it was fixed. But, like I said, that's how it does, and i'm pretty sure the timing has nothing to do with it, it would run bad all the time if it was the timing, not just once in a while for a few seconds.
  5. That Dodge is over at the shop in Concord, I'm going to drive it home Wednesday so she can bring the car. I don't know if it would make it to Macungie, I don't even know if it will make it the 26 miles here. It's been in one garage or another ever since I got it, and nobody can fix it. I think I might order a new computer thing, the ECM? I looked online, you can still get them for that make, model, and engine for $129. If that doesn't fix it i'll sell it for scrap, or whatever I can get out of it. I've already spent about $10,000,000 on it, mostly for nothing.
  6. It will She said it will be nice to see you again too.
  7. I always take tons of pictures, but she has a new super-powered camera that she got for Christmas that she's going to bring. I would need like a 3,000mm lens that cost thousands to have the zoom capability of her camera, it's pretty awesome. Not that you need that much zoom for a truck show, but it's nice to have if you do need it. She's taken some incredible bird pictures with it. It will take close-ups like this- And check this bird out. I don't know how far away it was, but you can see the tiny water drops on it's feathers. Heckuva camera. And it rained all night, it's raining now, and I think they're calling for rain until Tuesday here. About like last year, we were over 2 feet above normal rainfall for the year. I don't know where we're at this year, I don't get the paper anymore.
  8. I'm planning to be there too.
  9. Yes, she is. I'm planning to be there too. She's very excited, she said she would go if I didn't, she has friends there now.
  10. I wish you could make it to Macungie Bob, there's an entirely different attitude. Might as well put my 2 cents in- I went to an ATHS Show in Winchester in 2005 or 2006, took lots of pictures, sent them to Old Bill. He scanned them- this was before I even had a digital camera, I had a 35mm Nikon film camera- and put them on his website, and added a link to the ATHS website. Somebody, don't remember who, I think it was Mike somebody, from the ATHS contacted me, wanted me and Old Bill both to come to Winchester the next year- on them. They said they also wanted me to take the pictures again. I said that'd be great! Didn't hear from them for a while, then when I asked about what they had said before they were like "who the hell are you?". I did send them pictures from different shows for their website after that, several times, but nobody ever even said thanks for the pictures or anything, and they were posted by some other guy, can't remember his name either or i'd call it, as if they were his own. So now I read the magazine when it comes, but I don't send them anything at all.
  11. OK, I have a question.
  12. Great pictures Bob, thanks for posting! I like the day cab K100 and I always liked the Hayes with the big "H" made into the hood, good looking trucks.
  13. That's odd- I was looking for pictures just now, doing an image search for something totally unrelated, and noticed a picture of Old Bill's red and black B 61. I clicked on it and it took me here- http://users.vianet.ca/bw1/The life_and_times.htm It's not his complete website, but most of his stories are there. How or why, I have no idea.
  14. Very nice, especially liking that B model dump.
  15. I was sitting on the front porch today drinking a beer or twelve, after I had finished my work or course, reading the book Old Bill sent me of his stories. I'm sure everyone here knows Old Bill, the "Diesel gypsy". I am so thankful that he did send me that book, because his website is gone, just like Hank's Truck Pictures, where his stories were also available. I started feeling sentimental, I hadn't talked to Bill since the last time, several months ago. So when I realized again that he was the greatest truck driver ever, I decided that I needed to call him. I got no answer, thinking that I had waited too long...but no, the phone rang a few minutes later. I thought it was a telemarketer, and was prepared to lay a cussing on them like they'd never heard before. But it was Bill calling me back. Not only is he alive and well, he had just gotten back from a trip to Denmark. He also told me that he has plans to go to the western US this fall, and some person in Tn. has also invited him down to visit, and offered to fly him in and out. We talked about an hour, and I told him that if he got to Tennessee I would gladly drive there just to meet him. Just thought i'd pass this along.
  16. I saw a red truck this week. And it's seat cover season, I saw a girl in a car at the stop light- Then I saw another red truck. And I saw another girl in another car at another stop light- They always have drinks, snacks, and phones handy! And I saw this nail in that board.
  17. And as i've said before, this is a great book to read. Tells the story of the convoy, the LeTourneau snow train, and lots of other things about trucking in Alaska, good stuff.
  18. You should have bought two tickets to paradise...just sayin, you really should've.
  19. I agree with the Antique Archaeology answer, they love old signs. I think they could give you an honest answer, you're not buying or selling, just want an idea of it's value.
  20. And here's a picture I ran across this morning when I was looking for cicada pictures. It's not my picture, it was saved on my computer in 2013, probably because it's one of the nicest looking B models i've ever seen. Looks like it might have been taken at an Australian truck show.
  21. And.........this just in, from the Winfall correspondent in sunny Florida at the bikini car wash-
  22. Really? I saw it in the parking lot at Food Lion in Rustburg.
  23. I could not tell what it was, never got a clear view of it, or a good picture either!
  24. I saw lots of planes, trains, and automobiles. Well, I didn't actually take any train pictures, so i'll throw this snow train picture in-
  25. Saw this one in Petersburg last week. I'm not a Western Star expert, but I think this is a Low Max. Not my favorite Western Star model, but some of those new ones are sharp looking trucks.
