Wish I could help, I've never put one of those in.

I found some rubber mat material from a place called RubberCal, it looks decent and not too expensive. I used heavy posterboard and scribed around the outline of the floor, then laid it on the rubber to cut around the pattern. It worked really well; I bought some jute from Restoration Specialties and I'll use some spray glue to stick it to the back of the rubber.

I see your breakers are mounted solid in the dash...the H model has a removeable panel which makes it easier to wire the breakers.

These are the only ones the guy had, he used to work at Macungie and had kept these around for many years. I'll ask him if he knows what they used them on.

I bought a set of gold side dogs; I'm familiar with the ones that have a "dull" or "brushed" gold finish but these are very glossy, almost look gold-plated. Does anyone know what they used these for?

Can you get a picture of the right side latch? I've got a latch that fits L models and H models, I just wonder if it fits yours.

If it's the lighter, non-metallic green it's Mack paint code 808 Light Mint Green. If it's the metallic like B models then it's Axalta 44419 Frost Green Metallic.

Back in the 70's when "Convoy" came out I must have run the needle thru more than one copy of it! A real talented guy.

I got the heater all assembled with new blower motors; the heater motor is CW and the Red Dot catalog showed they had one, turned out their catalog was wrong so I went to Unimotor (Four Seasons) and you can get the correct motor from RockAuto. I'm not happy with the front cover but thankfully I have a better one I can clean up and paint to replace it with. I took the shifter boot frame to an upholstery shop in Columbus and they made me a new boot out of vinyl. The original setup was anchored to the shift levers and caught on some spring catches in the cab. I drilled four holes in the boot frame and cab so I could bolt it in place. I had them put zippers at the top so when I raise the cab I unzip each one to allow the levers to slide out of the boot.

I bought some of the split loom to put the wires in, I used 3/4" for the big bundle which is easy to work with. I got 3/8" for the small bundles which is not easy to open up for someone with 58 year old fingers. I should have checked to see if they sell a tool for "unzipping" the loom to insert the wires. I used all black wire because I didn't want to buy a dozen rolls of different colored wire. I got everything wired up and so far it all works. I had a Mack speedo and fuel gauge, but haven't been able to find any other Mack gauges so I had to go with Stewart-Warner. Saturday we had nice warm weather so I cleaned up some parts and painted them outside.

When I worked at Cat we had a "start cart" which was 4 batteries with heavy jumper cables and you could select 6, 12, or 24 volts. When it was cold outside and a 12v truck was turning over lazy, switching to 24v would really get it spinning!

I did right up until he mentioned the flux capacitor.

Well, I tried to sell this wheel on ebay, no takers. I think it's off a 50s or 60s GM truck; it's got the 11/16" shaft. It's 20" diameter, and the hub has the numbers 65 435 on it, made by Sheller. It's got one crack, and it looks like the discoloration will polish off of it. If anybody wants it you can have it, just pay for shipping. PM me if interested.

I'm with Bob on that...if it's got a S/P switch, could be the problem.

Well, the steering wheel I bought on ebay won't fit my truck. Mine has a 1-1/16" spline OD and this wheel has a 15/16" spline. It's a 22" wheel, from a later truck-60's? 70's? I paid $175 for it so if anyone wants to buy it I will sell it for that much plus shipping. It's got some small nicks and scratches, and the center hub has a little damage on it but there are no cracks anywhere. PM me if you're interested.

It's supposed to be on the way, I haven't seen it yet. You know how those FedEx guys are. 😉
