You mean NLA like 99% of parts for these old trucks? The part numbers I give them for my truck don't even show up on the Mack parts system any more.

I read a story that said the front one was a bunk and the back one was to carry Ralph Mooney's steel guitar. Listening to the start of this song, Ralph deserved a special place for his guitar.

I found a steel fuel fitting for a Cat 3406E in my tool box, chucked it in the vise and wailed away with the air hammer...it tightened them up. Probably would have been easier with heat as you guys suggested.

My rivet setter fits in an air hammer; I flailed on that thing but it still wouldn't tighten it up. One problem is the other end is so skinny, it started to deform so I quit. I guess Mack had a special jig to hold it while they bucked the rivet.

I'm trying to put my front axle together; as you can see the shoe anchor pins are loose in their holes (and one fell out). I tried to curl the hollow point rivet ends to tighten them up, but they are really hard. Does anybody know where I can get replacements or a good way to replace these?

Sometimes modern technology is stupid...seems like if you hold the phone one way, the pictures should always come out that way. I guess some high-tech wizards have a different idea.

They have a simulator, one of the modern conventionals (GU?). Nicola Bulgari is a benefactor of the museum; he has 7 warehouses in Allentown with 125 cars in them. Some of his cars are on display at the museum.

We were in Allentown on Friday, unfortunately we couldn't stay for Trucktoberfest and the Mack museum was closed on Friday. We went to the America on Wheels museum; they have some really nice Macks and Mack memorabilia. They have a lot of cars and motorcycles...I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area. The placard for this F model said it has around 2 million miles on it. Really nice B model: Exceptionally nice B model: Maxidyne! The certificate for this gold-plated First Gear model says it's one of only 4 made. We also went to the Merchants Square model railway exhibit. They say they have 18,000 feet of track...you can't count how many motorized carnival rides, cars, etc. there are. There's a movie playing on the drive-in screen and skiers going down a slope. They even have lightning, thunder, and rain!

We never did figure out what that flat exhaust tip is for on the yellow West Chester fire truck from October 9th.

We were coming thru Canterbury CT on vacation and the Google said "Haul of Fame Museum" so I pulled into the lot. No one was around and the last I heard the museum is closed so I took some photos of what was parked outside. It's a shame to see the weeds and rust taking over some of these trucks.

If you go on ebay and search for "Mack horn button" these plates come up a lot--you may have to keep checking for a few weeks but they show up regularly.
