    Two of my H models have air start; this is the lever in front of the driver's seat to actuate the starter (my neighbors all know when I fire it up). As you can see, there's a piece that pokes through a hole in the floor-anyone have a clue what that's for? There's nothing on either of my trucks that it does.

    That's a fine looking chassis! What type of paint and gun did you use on it? By the way, you need lots of junk piled around your shop so it looks like mine!

    I think the cab mounts are bad because the cab is off center.

    Love the orange, and the stripe looks great! I notice you have spokes on front and budds on back, is there a particular reason for that? I'm used to seeing trucks the other way around.

    Yes, it's an aluminum tank. I looked inside the tank and there's no corrosion. My cab jack pump is leaking; it's an Ausco DP-148...I googled that and this website sells seal kits for it. http://www.hcrcnow.com/shop/seal-kits/u-s-jack-ausco

    My cab latch wouldn't clear the strike so I decided to fix it. The truck has air start so there's an air tank in the luggage bin that's about 4' long and 12" across. Needless to say, you can't even see the latch so I pulled the air tank out to check it out. It wasn't too bad of a job but you can see it was a tight fit. I think some lube and adjustment will get the latch working correctly.
