Kinda neat to see a Cruiseliner and an MH out working. Last time I saw a Cruisliner working was one of the Schwind trucks out of WI and I can't recall the last time I saw an MH at work.

Peterbilt announces Model 389 ‘Pride & Class’ special edition

Now if we could just get rid of the DEF tank and drop a C-15 in it that truck would be ready to rock & roll. -

They have been using a few different guys. Western has a place down in Ottawa and another out on 52 just east of 39. I have also seen Princeton Redi-mix up here a few times. They have to be almost 2 hours from home. Not sure if they are getting put up in hotels or making the commute every day. Gotta wonder if Ozinga is just that busy or if they don't have enough drivers. -

Just caught a quick glimpse of it today. Dark blue like their newer Mack's with a big stainless drop visor, pulling a smooth side Mac or possibly Trailstar. -

Yes. It has been a busy summer. Been going 6 days a week since June. Had 9 loads from 4 different pits yesterday. -
Was at my local Hooters today. I was only in there to get directions on how to get away from there of course, but while I was there I saw they had a picture of an R-model pulling a Hooters wagon. Got a picture of it with the phone then got out of there immediately after a few beers and food.

Spent most of last week hauling stone into to new part of the Waste Management Dekalb Co landfill. Saw two Western Sand & Gravel RD's and one Granite. Saw a WM RD with a walking floor, an RD rolloff, and a Granite rolloff along with an MR concrete pumper. They almost have the new cell liner in also. -

Over the summer I have seen a few R-models that belonged to Packard Excavating from Rockford. They have a CL700 also and I thought I took a picture of it but I could not find it. I saw these three trucks in three different places. -

I'm just guessing but did he fly off the end of Melms rd after he left the pit? -

Mackey, it is Weber Grill's new HQ and warehouse in Huntley. Spent a good month going back and forth to this building. Took some pictures along the way. RYAN did the dirt work, Pirtano did the sewer and I caught their Mack on sight. The whole pad had to be limed also to firm up the ground, and the building was put up by ATMI pre-cast. -

I have seen a few Mack's on my adventures lately. Last week there was a Meyer/Ozinga RD inside the building I was delivering to. 27 acres under the roof. Week took 52,000 tons of CA-6 for the pad to this building over the summer. Also saw an always clean Don Ragona Granite, and Orange Crush RD, a Chicagoland Paving RD, and the new cell for the Dekalb county landfill. KRG did the excavation. Damn big hole that is being covered in plastic and has to be topped off with chips and then buried in trash. -
Here's a super yard spotter. He got a good running start at this one so he was sure to snap the legs off. Worked perfectly.

That is a nice collection of Mack's you got Jake. I'm sure getting rid of the Packard was hard but they'll make more. Oh wait.... maybe not. -

Here are a few pictures from a Chicago land fallen flag construction co. Harry Kuhn. I did not take these photos. These were found on Flickr. Not sure who took them, some nice photos nonetheless. -

I'm gonna have to agree with Mr.Hancock, hatcity, and slpwlker on this one. And to add to what they said most of these big fleets don't want the drivers to touch anything, don't try fixing, pushing or pulling, just sit there and for good reason. Like Hatcity said most of these guys have no clue how these trucks work, they can barely drive them. So you give a chain to two dummies and the next thing that happens is one ties it around the back axle of the trailer and gives it hell and then "poof" instead of a tow bill now you have a major repair and a tow bill. It really is sad to say but sometimes your better off walking away from most of this stuff.

Today I had to run an errand up north of my place and I made a little detour to see if this Mack firetruck was still parked in the same place, and to my surprise it wasn't. It used to be stuffed in the woods but today it was sitting out front. It must be able to run, It has been sitting here for awhile. I think it says, Rockton/Roscoe or Rockford/Roscoe on the boom. I'm not sure what year this would be. I'm guessing 60's? I don't know that much about Mack firetrucks. It had a "diesel" badge on the front that looked the same as my b-model. What would be in this truck 673,711? This is the only one that I have ever seen in person. -
The other day I had two friends send me these pictures within 10 minutes of each other. This freight truck driver decided he was going to drive past the road closed sign and flip a u-turn. The tracks are closed on the other side of the truck. This should not have been a surprise to this driver. This happened in Elgin and the tow truck is from Rockford which is about an hour away. I'm guessing this cost anywhere from $300 to $500. My one friend said that truck had been stuck there for at least 3 hours.

I have a picture of your former truck. I posted it awhile ago but I will re-post. I have seen it a few times this week and in the last month and it looks trashed. A shame. I'll give you credit for keeping it clean in Welch's yard because that place is either dust or mud. No happy medium in there and if its dusty all the yahoo's fly in and out of there all day stirring it up. Would hate to leave my pesonal vehicle in there let alone the truck. Since I already posted the RB I will also post Welch's R water wagon from their Belvidere yard. -

I saw a Gemco supply RB today out of Bellwood IL. I've seen a few of these running around and I think they have an RB semi also. They are always spotless when I've seen them. Saw a crane putting up a section of wall on a building and I spotted a Baker R model later in the afternoon. -

Pit was William Charles(aka Rockford Blacktop) Irene RD. Is that a belt buckle or a plaque?
