  1. I saw this Superliner the other day and then again this morning. I think its out of Rockford. I see he has two different wagons. Clean one owner, never off roaded...probably not. Looks like it has seen better days. I hope he is on the clock because that full frame Fruehauf has got to be heavy.
  2. They made a polished aluminum bracket that rivets to the factory holes where the roof cap meets the back wall. The antenna runs under my headliner out the back and the antenna is mounted on the bracket.
  3. Is that red one from out around Dekalb/Sycamore somewhere? I remember one very similar to that at a cruise night in Sycamore 20 years ago and I had not seen it since. Good looking truck either way.
  4. Thanks. Mine is a 2000. One of the last with the old flat dash. My Dad bought it new. He ordered it, I bought it in 07 when his new one came in. The roof on the truck was not always dark blue. The paint started peeling on the roof around 03 so Pete repainted it and Dad had them paint it dark blue. I just had it redone again last year by LargeCarRebuilders because it was peeling again. Large Car said the primer was probably junk so the took it all off and started over. I also had them re-do the horn blocks, put on a different visor and had them re-locate the CB antenna to the back of the bunk. The truck has a 6NZ 550hp C-15 CAT, 18spd , 3:90 rears with full lockers. I am going to do a few more things with the truck but I am splitting my money between the B-model and the Pete. Someday I'll get them both done. One piece at a time. Here is a picture of my truck and Dads 07 side by side at a show last year.
  5. Hahahahaha! Aside from anybody getting hurt I don't think that could have gone worse. Poor planning.
  6. On Friday I saw the Kamp RD again and I saw the LIMA Exc CH. Not a big CH fan but this is a pretty clean truck by the looks of it. Better than 90% of the other CH's that are hauling gravel around here.
  7. A couple miles west of 23 on Mcgirr Rd.
  8. Saw a Kamp RD moving something big this morning. Maybe part of a mix plant of some sort? Just got a quick look. Earlier in the week I was out at the pipeline job where I saw the back side of an RD conveyor that was being loaded by a skid steer from a pile of CA-6 that I had dumped. Also took a pic of Michels big CAT pipelayer. Old beast!
  9. Ha. Thanks. I was trying hard to stay awake also. Was actually on a Curran job all yesterday and today also. They were using some of their dumbass brokers who can't spread to save their lives. I told Scott B the foreman/grader operator that I didn't speak English or have chains but since I went to school with him he knew better. He said me and a couple other guys had to stay by the grader and they sent the dummies to the back of the job with the dozer where they proceeded to leave a 3 foot tall pile and then spread.
  10. I guess this guy got hung up on the tracks. Did not end well.
  11. Hey, who's that jackass leaning on the fender of my truck? Oh, wait....never mind.
  12. Yes I do. I have one from a couple years ago. The DT950 belongs to Patrick O'hare who is in the Northwest IL chapter of ATHS, and the wrecker belongs to Maggio Towing from Rockford IL. They host the NWIC ATHS meeting every year around mid May and also have a big open house Christmas dinner for their customers and the ATHS. They are big supporters of our local chapter.
  13. Here is a couple shots of the Martam R-model.
  14. Yes it is. Not even close to being done. When school lets out that it takes almost 25 min to get from one end of town to the other. What a nightmare.
  15. At dusk on Saturday the Bisom B was backed up to the loading dock to pick up a couple items. Great looking truck! At nightfall the fire pit was lit, and it was good timing because it was about 35 degrees out, I wanted to sit in the fire! On Sunday we took off around noon and on the way back we saw a plane. Was a good trip.
  16. Would have been a good one to make it to this year. This will be the last time it will be held at Sheafor farms. It has been held there for 30 years but since Dan Sheafor passed away this year it will not carry on at his place. Was a beautiful place to have the show. There is talk of having it at the fair grounds right around the corner from the farm for next year. The show will go on, just not at this location.
  17. Here are a few of the brand X'rs on display. Lots of cool trucks at this show.
  18. A couple tractor shots. The two high crops were immaculate!
  19. Here are a couple shots looking down on the show.
  20. Here are the Mack's from the show. The Bisom trucks are as nice as they look. Very sharp trucks.
  21. This weekend while the east coast guys were at Gerhart's, BCR57(Al) and myself went to Richland Center WI for an ATHS show held at Sheafor farms. While we were there we also met up with fellow BMT'er "Jakebrake" who brought out his BCR. On the ride up we hit some snow and rain which kinda sucked but we made it, although the trucks got a little crusty on the ride up. We took the scenic route which took us through some hilly and curvy roads but the trucks handled it like fine European sports cars. Met up with a cool 359 going the other way and went under two very narrow bridges. Saw a crane, and I remembered last time we went through this little town there was a 4 axle Superliner sitting there and sure enough it was still there. Sharp truck, got a quick pic. Also got Al to smile for the camera.
  22. Saw a few Mack's today. Caught an R-model that I got last year with a hopper on, today I saw it with a dump trailer. Saw a United Scrap RD, D-Construction's MR pumper laying down some red cement for for the crosswalks and an MR rolloff.
  23. I went a couple years ago and had a blast. Gonna try to make it back again. Thanks for posting pics.
  24. Saw a few Macks while I was out and about today. A D-const. RD, a Hoving rolloff, a very clean Lenz RD and a couple Elmhurst-Chicago Stone mixers.
