  1. Yes I did. I don't know how they keep em nice either. They must have a better pit crew than me.
  2. Nice. Looks like a Morbark 1300 your pulling. I used to work for a land clearing company and pulled a few of them around myself.
  3. Here are a couple line up shots, a few from the parade, and a couple from the pulls.
  4. I was wondering if you were by me. I saw a gal in a wheelchair that had a "Spirit" jacket on the back of her chair and I thought you might be around but when I looked I didn't see you. Figured you might have been in the pits since you had your truck registered. When I got up for beer soda I went out the other way. Was probably 30 feet from you and didn't know it.
  5. I think the KTTA is 1100 cubic inches. TTA is for twin turbo aftercooled. I think they are around 800 to 900hp. Don't know if those are exact numbers but I believe it is close to that.
  6. Here are a few of my Brand X favorites. The red Pete had a KTTA Cummins in it. Very custom. Tow Mater had some serious HP under the hood, was a pulling truck. Liked the big A-car.
  7. Saw a few GMC Generals at Kasson this year. Was thinking JT Formula might like these. Even had a long hood and a short hood parked side by side. The black truck ran in the pulls. Had a screaming Detroit in it. Did ok.
  8. I went up to Kasson this weekend for the Big Iron Classic in Kasson MN. This is turning into one of my favorite shows. Its a non award show and I think that is one of the reasons so many trucks show up because these guys don't have to worry about it turning into a polishing contest. Bring em as, is polished or not, all are welcome. Were a few Macks there this year, some same as last but my favorite this year was the Wayne transport Value Liner. They are an all Pete fleet now with a really nice yard just up the road from Kasson but they put together a nice old Mack. The CAT powered Michaeletz Superliner was there again and also ran in the truck pulls. No body brought the R-model water truck, that was just there for the track, just a water truck. Saw Jakebrake's BCR but I did not see Jake. Truck looked good though. All told I think there was about 450 trucks this year, maybe more and 73 ran in the truck pulls.
  9. I had posted a picture of this AC awhile back. The owner passed away this year and the truck went up for auction and Plote ended up with the truck and it looks like they have re-lettered it in their Beverly Gravel lettering.
  10. Tommy is a trip for sure. He was bugging me for BJ's number because I had mentioned he was going down there, so I gave it to him, then I quickly called BJ to apologize. I think Tom needed someone to follow. If he gets out of his little circle he gets lost. Yeah, I get being on the clock and not getting in a hurry but 35 in a 55 is ridiculous. I think this is one of the reasons people in there cars are so damn nuts trying to pass in no passing zones and other unsafe places because they've all gotten stuck behind one of these a-holes. As far as I know that truck/trailer went to Georgia. I would have to ask Tom where it went exactly. Not sure if the guy was a collector or what will happen with that truck. Hopefully it went to a good home.
  11. Looks good Vinny. Gotta get that truck ready. Prom season is right around the corner. Would be a good ride to cart a gal to a dance in, and if she complains about it you'll know she's not the "one".
  12. Mackdaddy I will pull out a Rossi pic for you from the Tom Bronge collection. Not sure when or where he took this pic of a Rossi B-model fuel truck. They probably still have it if I had to guess.
  13. Yeah, for a little bit anyway. What a bunch of pieces of Sh-t that are hauling for Ozinga/Paschen. I was on a job all day and had to go the same way as those clowns. 35 to 45mph is all the faster they would drive. Bunch of clock suckers. Bagged 4 of them on 23 but there was always another to get stuck behind.
  14. Truck sounds awesome. I like it!
  15. Was down south today and saw a few Macks. A couple Hager Granite's hauling dirt, a random RD on 111th, I had to go to Boughton's for a couple and got a picture of one of the new trucks and while I was waiting to get loaded I took a shot of one of the haul trucks dumping into the crusher. If you look up the haul road from the crusher there is a DM water truck headed down the road and on the way home I saw an R that I think was once an Aurora Blacktop truck, or it looked just like one they had anyway. Mackey I also saw the Rizzi trucks you were talking about at 59 and Frasier. I could see the one RD out back hooked to a van trailer. That place looked like a mess.
  16. Awesome. I was hoping somebody got that reference. Here's the clip for those who didn't.
  17. I know what that creature was. It's a wacky inflatable flailing arm tube man from Al Harrington's Wacky Inflatable Flailing Arm Tube Man Emporium in Weekapaug.
  18. Thanks!, I needed couple $$$ back for grocery money
  19. One of my goals with the B-model is to eventually have aluminum tanks on both sides of the truck. The passenger side tank is shot and the driver side started leaking recently, so I decided that if I was gonna take the whole thing apart to fix it I might as well do it right. Since Alumitank is right up the road from me I took the old one up there so they had something to go on. Had to wait a little while to get it back, and they made the step a fuzz to high but all in all it turned out nice. They also made the stainless straps for it. I did the polishing before I mounted the tank. I will eventually get the other side done. Just need more $$$$$. Truck fired right up after I put the tank on, I figured it would fight me but it didn't. I got it out and washed it off and did a little mosquito fogging for the neighbors with the dirty idle 673T. Alumitank said they had never made a square tank for a B before, so to my knowledge this is the only one so far. They were in the process of making one for a Brockway though the guy told me. Final cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. And then a couple $$$$$$$ for good measure.
  20. This R-model belonged to Don Sonntag. He was nice enough to get me a picture of it. Don hauled for Meyer Material for many years. This truck was a 79 with a 237 and a twin stick. I asked him about the newer grill on the truck and he said the louvers on the R didn't work and he really didn't care for the looks of them so one day he was at Mack and they had a newer grill there for sale so he bought it. He repaired and repainted the truck and put the new grill on. I think this picture was taken in the early 80's. Don also had an R-model with a bunk and then later a CH. He currently still owns a Mack which I took a picture of this morning. A former Sancken truck, I believe he said it is an 01.
  21. Mackey there might be some more in Plainfield but these three trucks are on Liberty St in Aurora.
