  1. I was at TRI state several years ago looking at a tri axle mack and talking to service mngr told me about customer that bought 5 new K whoppers and all 5 where there for warranty work at the same time.

  6. PAI parts under 200.00 Mack price range 1200.00 to 1400.00 that's gouging find a distributor in your area the last one I bought was 600.00 E-6 kits 998.00 know 2000.00 + price VOLVO must just X 2 on every thing.
  7. Our town did that several years ago !!!!!!! Last two where Mack cab &chassis 10 wheeler Freight shaker picks up leaves it cant multitask on hills plowing &putting down sand salt @ the same time so its on light duty it was a waste of money.normally they spec some thing that Mack only has so they can justify the extra $.

Here in Connecticut there been a large increase with ten wheeler s even though the state does the state bid for equipment and materials the towns been leaning towards Mack with some first time users some are buying complete units and some are buy cab and chassis 250k +. But when i pull in with my vintage fleet they always start small talk with a inspection of the trucks. Some towns are still using 70 s & 80 s .The only reacquiring problem is the double frames .
  9. Corporation tax is even worst I know a quite a few company's paid between 10k & 250k for pick up in NY and coming back to CONN.to deliver product.
  10. WAS the dealership bought out ! Conn dealership been bought several times called dealer in Mass for battery box 40.00 cheaper called a smaller dealer in Conn 45.00 they're just parts & service no sales people so I have a new job no pay but a good friend ship .

  14. Just bought 1993 super duty straight axle 5 speed 7.3 diesel naturally aspirated AM /FM ( dose"nt work ) 95,000 miles took flat bed off fabricated pintle plate lights back up -alarm tow hooks &couple brake lines and put the flat bed back on.

GILLIS Ellis Island NYC my grandfather kept saying GYLES stuck with Gillis ever since my aunt owned built the Carvel in Thomaston next to fire house and the farm by Echo lake on French st & ice house rd .P S we go back to earl;y 1900:s when they shoved the roads by hand & cut ice out of the lake and stored it at the end of the road.

Guerrera of golden age of trucks wanted to buy it but Tietz wouldn't sell .He ran it till late 80"s pulling a dump trailer and low bed he has three rears for it one that does 45 mph 65 mph 112 mph , My father seen that truck in Mack dealership show room in the Carolina:s love the LJ so much he went back and the dealer went out of business he spent 2 weeks looking and found it in Florida dealership in 1952 then bought it and 1more sleeper an 2 day cabs . Red Smith that advertise on her use to drive for my dad he since past away . He use to park all the trucks on Buckingham st and Sunny side ave across the street from the bar& pizza in the 60"s 70"s..
  21. My father had two like that and two day cabs around the early 50`s the one my father drove is still working in a gravel pit with a 500 gallon tank for dust control but stays in a garage. Mr Tietz from Woodbury CT told my son when he gets out of collage come talk to him but still visit There is one poping up at car shows all redone but no truck shows seen pictures of it from the WTBY CT area ..
