    The fifth wheel has to be almost over the front drive to get 12k on the front axle then they get you on inner bridge law.

    Yup it is one piece cast steel spring saddle also you can put the little steel blocks in the spring caps they help a lot.And on the two piece saddle small rubber you could 1/2# shims.

    Seen many tankers go over within a couple miles of loading . There is a company in N. Branford CT he had two of his trucks hit head on playing chicken.

    Unfortunate Bob your 56 will still be going a lot longer than the newer trucks. That truck can be rebuilt with a tackle box full of tools.

    Looks like Career day at Durham fair grounds where High school kids get a hands on feeling with big machines and cranes.with 50 -75 venders looking for future employee in a tough economy.

    Going back about 20 years ago I was in WTBY CONN.trying to get through but all the roads were block by police so I sat then a horse drawn white trailer with glass on all four sides went by .and on his way to his resting place they went by his garage were he kept every thing in side. You still see his equipment around like trojan strait frame loaders with tinted windows pin stripes and hub caps.

    Scott Suzio was telling me they had rented a large crane to tear down there primary crusher sow in the meantime they pick up all the old equipment and align and put everything in order mixers machines etc.for a couple days till the crusher parts came in.

    I did that with one an had odd cam shaft it would go from 30 to 75 in 5 gear . Many of times 25 ton in the box and a backhoe in tow . Two to three people a week would look under hood and say 237 owell .!!!!!

    Well we are still trying to fill in the beach but the 3&4 foot waves is working harder. Tilcon lost one of their barges from Branford CT and landed on beach in Milford CT with a load of stone. The coast guard is looking in to it.

    1964 New York World's Fair Mack had their first triaxle mixer on display and Beard concrete of Milford CT bought it needless to say the frame broke on both sides and took out of service and Matthew Flanagan bought it aka Agra transport.It was white

    RT3 is going under a face lift now by Middlesex they just finish Portland they put large cameras on 4 different points because of the weight restrictions to catch the trucks that cross over it .

    There was 1 mile stretch on 91n in Weatherfeild CT that was so bad that about 50% asphalt came up so the state milled all three lanes .

    They sell a kit that feeds more oil to the top of engine and a higher volume oil pump.

    Two high cranking amps batt will do just fine . There just like apples one goes they all will go .And you will save on maint. weight .
