  1. Engine oil/coolant level? I'm gonna assume you checked all the obvious things...... Someone will be along shortly to decipher the codes..... mackpro or challenger to the help desk....
  2. There's a few switches that would cause the cruise to quit. Clutch and brake switches come to mind. Someone with more knowledge than myself will chime in I'm sure.
  3. Second time in a month, cel and a message "SCR Fault, engine will derate soon". Code come back def system loss of prime. Sitting waiting at Mack now, and there's a crew of roofers and a crane waiting on site for me......frustrating.
  4. I will engine brake as far as I can.....and I always try to catch first or low before I stop moving....unplanned stops, engine bake and service brakes until I have to stop. I do my very best to leave enough room to stop without using service brakes, but some of the highways around here, as fast as you can leave room, some idiot fills it in. In that case, if I'm in high range, clutch in and brake, flipping to low a little bit before I stop, so the syncros can do their thing, if in low, clutch in and brakes. A few time I've flipped to low while sitting still and when I go for first, it thunks like I buggered a shift. If I get into low and look for first (or low) while I'm still kinda rolling, it goes in smooth. Should have mentioned both our trucks have the eaton fuller 8LL
  5. I keep hearing bad things about aset engines. And a good friend of mine had been running an EPA07 mp with tons of trouble. Out of your year range, but the epa10 mps have been reliable in my experience and talking with others...
  6. Not sure, but gonna guess lash etc.....keep it all tight.
  7. I've never seen that before....holy crap.
  8. Very well done. Be very proud, you (and your guys?) did a fantastic job. I'll bet it looks good dirty and workin' too....lol
  9. Welcome. Sharp rig just as it sits.
  10. Haha....wow. That's an odd place for a dozer lol
  11. One expensive cup of coffee.....
  12. I haven't been to the landfill in months.....4 of the 5 places i haul to are transfers, its the job sites, our farm, the gravel yard, sitting on site for tear off with the bin on the truck (asphalt roof dust makes one hell of a mess of a white truck) and this fn winter that wont fn go away.....it looks good (in my opinion) when it clean and shined up, just gotta time it with the weather....lol
  13. No rust....theyre mostly plastic. A buddy of mine had a late 90's 4 door 4 banger sedan with a 5 speed, had it for years and didn't really give trouble...
  14. Why didn't I hold on to my sled just a few years longer......
  15. Yesterday was beautiful, upper 30's, sunny, no wind.....then... Snowing, windy as hell and fn freezing again......
  16. I will also vote red. My GU is white(cab) and black(frame etc) and it ALWAYS looks dirty.....hard to keep a white and black and chrome trash truck clean lol
  17. Price is right. To bad it's so far away..... I wonder if it would fit in a yj......
  18. Its only worth what someone will pay for it......
  19. I've had the opposite problem, tons of snow and I sold my machine a few years ago after too many crappy winters. Been sunny here the last few days so most of the snow is gone, but it's still fn cold..... First day of spring.....bs
  20. are they air down, spring up? don't pull wagons, but I don't trust 'em......
  21. Thats what I thought too.... Shane is going from an MP7 to an MP8, both with Eaton 8LL, he should notice the 250+ft/lbs torque gain, but I could definitely agree on not feeling 445 vs 505 hp.....
  22. Curiosity has taken hold....what is the reason? Cheaper, easier to find?
  23. I'm the same. It's not "mine", but I spend most of my day in it. It reflects on me. Quick sandwich for lunch, the wipe down the dash or something. Trash trucks never gonna be perfect, but I can try......
