  1. Sorry, thread is called "insulator pad question"....... http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/34211-insulator-pad-question/
  2. I think it was posted in a thread called "rear suspension" ........lots of information/discussion on pads there And yes, both our macks are Hendrickson......Sorry
  3. How did the rest of of the snow storm treat ya....lol

  4. Didn't get there this weekend, but I know it was spec with a Fuller 8LL so I would guess 505-m if it's available.
  5. Ah....guess I could have read it and paid attention......I'm not too far from you (but far enough lol), but ritchie bros always meant Bolton....should have guessed their "cross canada"......my bad
  6. Snowdog85.....thats up your way isn't it.
  7. You like RD's....Here's a Canadian built RD688S roll-off that is still out "kicking ass and taking names" 26 year later.... 1988 RD688S - E6 350 Econodyne, Eaton-Fuller 8LL Overdrive, Mack rears (don't know the cap, sorry), on Hendrickson walking beams.
  8. A little bit of shiny goes a long way. Looks sharp.
  9. I see that ending well.....
  10. Don't mean to hijack, but while I'm thinking of it, I have the separate am/fm antenna, and my reception SUCKS!!!!! Mostly am, I do love talk radio, fm isn't too bad.......Would a longer/different antenna help me on that front?
  11. a buddy of mine (ran an EPA07 gu813 with dpf trouble) got his 2014 GU813 mp8-505 this past week. Gonna see him for a few pops this weekend, I'll report back with what I find out.
  12. Could have been much worse. Happy the Mack is okay....the poor jeep though (I'm a "reformed" jeep nut)
  13. Not that I'm much help here, but your cruise control/high idle and only 1200 revs is something my 2011 mp7 granite does too. After it's run a few mins in the morning (while kicking the tires and checking lights), I'll turn the idle up to about 1000 to warm it up. If I push the yellow button in or touch the brake pedal or clutch pedal, the idle drops back to low (650-700) and it'll rev on the throttle but only to 1400.... If I flip the cruise switch off while on the throttle it revs like it's supposed to. Just putting that out there.
  14. Just throwing this out there.....our rock vac ran with a reaaalllllyyyyy clogged air filter for a long time, and as a result the compressor started pulling oil and eventually needed rebuilt. Couldn't get air anywhere else, so it was pulling vacuum from its "crankcase" (don't know the property term, but you all should get it). Just did the rebuild (new rings and gaskets etc and a good cleaning) last week and it hasn't run it on site yet, but all seemed ok when we tested it in the shop.....
  15. Yea. They were good for distance on the hi ways. 2 or 3 interchanges anyway. Better than the 6 truck lengths I get now with 3'
  16. I HAD mack factory 4ft whips paired with a cobra nightwatch classic radio and they worked great.....til I knocked em off. Damn you low hanging branches!!!!
  17. Take pics please.....might make a good add to the wikki if it's not in there already
  18. I know of one company for sure (in Quebec) that openly advertises egr & dpf delete kits, despite the potential massive fines for defeating emissions control systems
  19. While I may not have a whole lot of experience with other truck makes, the powerleash on my mp7 works very well considering the relatively small displacement of the motor. With a full load (34000kg), I can get 25-30lbs on the turbo from 1800-1400 in 7th, 6th and 5th on an 8ll....
  20. That light is what leads me to belive its transmission related. Maybe i missed it, but is it an auto or stick? If an auto, low/hot fluid might warrant a shutdown. Codes would definately help with diagnosis.
  21. From the album: Other Trucks etc.

Pic doesn't really do this KW cab over justice. Next time I'll get out for a better pic lol
  22. Welcome, helmets are over there.....
  23. I am reasonably certain that service brakes should still work in the parking side is caged...on modern pots anyway. Can someone with more knowledge "yes or no" this?
